GALATEA - Immersive Love, Scary & Chat Stories

Would have totally given this 5 stars. My biggest issue is the wait time. Most other apps give a 1 hour wait time with ads to speed it up, but this is 6 hours. It's just too long. Skipping the wait is an option but it costs 10 points to do that; and you don't earn that many points from watching ads. So, skipping is pointless (no pun intended). Apart from that, I really like the app. It has a variety of book options genre-wise.

I wanted to like Galatea - I really did. The stories are about as well-written as anything else on the web, and I'd gotten invested in one. But the app is horrible. It lags and just stops working; this is the third time this month it's refused to advance chapters. It's been three days, and it still says there's six hours to wait. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, cleared the cache - nothing works. Customer service has been wonderful when contacted, but it's just not worth the headache anymore.

The stories are incredible and the only reason I continue to even bother with the app. It is the glitchiest app I have ever dealt with. The touch screen barely works. The load times are ridiculous. It screws up the counter for opening chapters. I constantly free up space but then it still glitches out and I have to close the app and start it up again. It's almost not worth bothering with no matter how good the stories are.

The app was good at first. I've read over twenty of their books.. But for some reason it is glitching now. Unable to flip to next chapter or it stalls for long periods of time, or takes you back several chapters losing your place... Frustrating when you're into a story then you can't continue. So yes, stories are great when you are able to complete them.

I enjoy listening to stories while working, cleaning and driving; so audiobooks are the reason I downloaded this app. I enjoy most of the stories on this app but I will probably cancel because they upload incomplete stories and the storyline just abruptly ends for many audiobooks. They should never upload anything less than 100% of a story. If it is not fully narrated, do not upload it! Also, app constantly crashes.

I do like this App, has some really great stories, but after they updated last time I lost all my points! So rather annoying! Plus if I watch an Advert the extra points don't get added on! I contacted Galatea, and they did help me the first time, but it's happened 3 times now?! I lost my place on my reading streak as well!! Was up to nearly 200 days reading.

The stories are fine. The actual functionality of it isn't great. I have to hit titles over and over before they load, you have to scroll through to start the chapter timer (the chapter list doesn't start the timer it only let's you spend points), stories don't have consistent free chapters so sometimes you have to spend points to know if you like it, and you can't read comments before you read it.

I love the stories, (except for the unfinished ones but I blame the authors not the app). The only reason I don't give 5 stars is the app has become glitch ridden as all get out. Slow responsiveness on the touch screen had me muting the audio but even that doesn't help aa that much when scrolling. Please fix this issue I don't even mind the six hours between chapters if this will start working better.

Having all these books to read is great. They are well written & have you keep interest. There has been a book I was reading but now all of a sudden it says I can't read it cause I have to subscribe but I was reading it for a week before that happened. However having to wait 6 hours until you can read the next chapter is annoying & ridiculous. Also not everyone can afford to pay for a subscription just to read when we can go buy a regular book for almost the same amount & own it.

As much I love reading with on this app, it is very frustrating. The interface is not friendly at all. You have to touch the books icon multiple times before it respond, then loading the books becomes problem. And the 6 hours waiting for a new chapter to open is just too much. I like the app, though, but, it really needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

Despite some complications getting my story timers right at first, the team helped me with the upmost importance to fix the issue. It's a fantastic app to ready many stories on, my favorite being The Millennium Wolves. The points are easy to get through watching ads, and the daily reading points are magnificent! 1 point a day to complete a chapter, with bonuses at the end of each week that get larger the longer your streak continues.

The app is nice and I've had it for 5 months or so but in the past month it's been working slower and slower, it takes so long to start and it's so slow at switching between chapters. While i'm reading a chapter if I turn off the screen on my phone even for 30 seconds, the app closes and I have to start it all over again and it takes soooo long loading. I don't know what happened, it used to be much quicker 2 months ago... Please fix it!

This app is actually nice. I only have an issue with the app loading after it opens, I feel like it takes a while but that might just be me. It offers free readers an opportunity to read on the app freely but I think it would be better to increase the amount of points to be gained from watching ads or decrease the wait time. Anyways, the stories are nice and different from each other. Nice Audio as well. I don't regret downloading the app.

Great stories but the 6 hour wait is Ludacris! Been over two years waiting on the next books in a few series. nothing changed within the wait. Customer support is a joke. You get an email from them and that's it, almost like the use doesn't matter. So many bugs! Either the app crashes upon opening it or there's a "fetching error" where none of the books will load. (Q&A page to fix too no different.) This app has potential, but might want to divulge in other similar apps. Not worth it..

I love the stories on this app. So much content, and a great Facebook group where other readers share their recommended stories. The grammar in the stories are great, there's no distracting formatting. A cool feature that sets it apart from radish or other apps is that it has an immersive experience mode, where it plays sound as you read. Cons are it has been buggy lately. Theres a timer of 6 hours before free chapter unlocked, and it has not been working properly. Otherwise, its worth it!

I have been using this app for many months now. I enjoy a lot of the books on here, especially the audiobooks that allow me to work and get things done while listening. However recently I've been having a lot of trouble with the chapters not unlocking after I've waited the allotted time. I really wish they would fix this as soon as possible, so I can stop wasting the points I bought to unlock chapters that should be unlocked when the time is up. Please fix this

The stories are good and the app should receive more stars, but there are some issues, which need to be resolved for that to happen. 1. The 6 hour wait between new chapters is crazy. Even after the 6 hours, it isn't always possible to read a chapter, but the countdown timer resets back to 6 hours anyway. 2. The prices for the coins and subscriptions are too expensive and not worth the money. I have bought coins 2 or 3 times, but due to the cost, I could only read 4 chapters with those coins.

Great stories from what I've seen so far, possible to read without paying. But chapters are quite short for the amount of points needed and the 6 hour wait for the next chapter. I tried twice to read at the end of the 6 hours and the timer had re-started, so I had to wait to get more points. Better than alot of other reading apps I've tried though.

I really like the stories on thos site. I even considered buying a subscription, but the more I use this app, the more it glitches. If I scroll down on the main page, the screen jumps around. The timer has stopped coming up at the end of chapters and I have to close out the program and restart it to get the timer to start. I've Uninstalled and reinstall the program twice and clear my cache, but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions?

What a great app this is, amazing stories. Just can't get enough of the audibooks that comes with it. Interesting tones even!. Am always in a good mood to know the full story, the suspension that comes with it forces you to attain points even when they are unavailable 😅😂if u know what I mean. Apart from that I just love the app. Hope in future it's easier to unlock the chapters though, would really appreciate it. Thanks to the developer of the app, you really have made it 👍 👌 👍

I dont like the the 6 hours resets whenever it feels like, so it in reality takes 9 to 12 hours to get a chapter, this feels like an easy fix you guys could provide if you really wanted to keep people reading. Ad watching is annoying but doable for 2 chapters a day, honestly can't recommend to others putting that much effort into it though when they can just buy complete books for a lot less.

I really enjoy most of the books that are on site. Down fall is the 6 hour wait between, and that timer sometimes resets its self without even reading the chapter yet. I have had a few times where I read one story chapter and go to read another books chapter and it wouldn't allow it because the timer decided to restart. But most of time I enjoy the fact I can get points by watching the ads to read another chapter.

Live this app it's the only one that I have found that have books available in audio version for the times I don't feel like reading but listening instead. I have had issues with the audio book stopping and in order to continue listening I have to close the app and reopen it. I wish there wasn't such a long wait time in-between chapters.

I would have given this app a 5 star review. However, after getting to chapter 11 on a book that completely captivated me it stopped loading other chapters. When I went to complain there were so many other complaints from days ago. Doesn't seem like the app is trying to fix the problem. They are quick to offer you to pay for a subscription. It never gives you an ID or verifies your email. ??? So sad. Loved the book 🫤 BTW, uninstalling and reinstalling does not help at all.
