much better UI compared to GoF 2. the graphics are improved and there is a serious effort on the design team to improve the gameplay: great controls. a lot of lost time has been removed such as jumping between star systems much has been lost from the last GoF 2: the sense of wandering the stars (now it is just quick shoot them up space battles); the career options (no mining, no tranport, no way to play except fight); purchasing ships (not grinding parts). Please try a more open storyline!

Had barely played GOF2, and already it was one of my favorite games. As soon as I saw there was a GOF3, I had to install it. Forst time it started, the intro's video and audio were not synchronized, and it was stuck at the first subtitle. No big deal, I just reloaded it, it went smooth, the intro finished, then it became nothing more than a poster for a very long time with no signs if loading. Then it crashed. I loaded it again and got a black screen. Stick with GOF2; it's much, much better.

Graphics are good, some effects are also good. But, controls are hilarious, lack of open world, weird missions, totally confusing ui, that's just the start. Total downgrade considering gof2. Only upgrade is in visuals. And don't get me started on the blueprint system. Minor adjustments can make this game playable enough. But, I don't think anybody worked on that. This is an abandoned game.

I don't know if is just me, but there are a lot of issues with the sound in general. That's everything I got to point out of bad in the game, the rest is just amusing, just like GOF2. I just miss the map and the way you could roam free, but the addictions so u don't just fly around with only a space station on your way, but the way the map is compensates a lot.If the sound problem is actually from the game and not my phone, I hope it gets solved quickly. Realy great work from the developers!

Having played GOF2 and really enjoyed it, I hoped for the same here. Graphics are good and gameplay different from before but it works well. I paid for all three Acts to fully unlock the story and since then the game çrashes to a black screen half way through gameplay with the sound still running. Never comes back. Phone gets increasingly hot. Have to restart phone. Can't progress in the game. Disappointed after having paid £25.99 that the game is basically unplayable.

Good ship design, nice graphics, good gameplay. Although, the controls are sticky and aiming is hard. You should add an option wherein you can switch the sides of the aim control and speed control. I miss the open-world of Galaxy on Fire 2 and the linear gameplay of GoF 3 honestly dissappoints me. The microtransactions are too much in my opinion. You should bring back the way you handled microtransactions in the second game. Overall, this game is a decent shooter with good graphics and gameplay.

I personally loved the first and second installment of Galaxy on Fire. Got all the DLC's for GOF 2 and replayed the game several times. This third installment does not do justice for the series as it doesn't stay true to its core gameplay which used to be an awesome open world shooter where you can choose what to do, be it doing main missions or the various side quests. This third game might be a more suitable way of getting revenue for the developers, but its a big disappointment for players.

Tedious and full of grinding. The graphics and gameplay of GOF 2 may not have been as good but at least it wasn't full of loot boxes and thousands of hours worth of grinding. The first ship you can build requires over 30 individual blueprints! Gone are the days of just buying a ship. Also the fact the the ability to fly from planet to planet was removed is really sad. Now it's just home screen -> teleport -> easy mission -> back to home screen. I'll be going back to GOF2, a much superior game.

I am very disappointed. I am a long time Galaxy on Fire 2 player and finally decided to switch to the 3rd game in the series. I read the reviews and proceeded with an open mind when downloading the game. Once I started up the game, I was greeted with a message saying "Server communication error." I have tried to restart the game multiple time and I get the same message. I would love to give it the chance it deserves but I can't leave more then one star as the game is physically unplayable.

The game is a great idea. The controls are easy to use and I like what the game is about. The only thing that let this game down is sound it is always distorting and makes the game feel rubbish to play. if more development was placed on improving sound quality then the game would be great to play but at the minute it is not really worth playing it due to sound quality being rubbish. I really do hope you fix this issue.

Not a bad game, but it suffers from a few issues like jumpy, stuttering ship controls, no roll control at all, and occasional audio issues where sound becomes choppy and laggy until you hit the next loading screen. Improves on the previous game somewhat, but cuts out some of my favorite aspects of it as well, such as faction grinding and open world exploration.

I expected the dissappointment so it's not included on this review. The probem was the tutorial. It drags on as if it never ever wants me to touch the settings... If not for this, I'd consider playing this game as the combat and graphics really makes this feel more on point with the theme. Fricking fix it... at this point, people are not expecting you to change the gameplay.

The game is alright, but its nothing like the 2nd game. The lack of freedom and customization (2 things that made GOF 2 so good) is a deal breaker for me. Also the addition of microtransactions ruins it too. This game should have also been open world, it would have done much better if it was just a redesigned and better looking version of GOF 2 with new content and stories. Visiting space lounges and buying parts from shops was much better. I'll miss that experience.

Sadly, this game is nothing like the second. First of all, the sound is crackled and interrupted constantly. Secondly, the controls are very stiff and jittery. The second version of this game is flued in every way but this one is far from being worthy for anyone to take the time in downloading. I give this version a 2/10 and that's me being kind. The only reason I've gave it a 2 out of 10 is because the graphics are actualy fairly good.

What happened deep silver!? GOF2 was incredible, I even bought the DLC in that game and it was completely worth. But how do you go from that to this!? There is no open world, the characters are completely forgettable and everything is locked behind a pay wall. This is absolutely rubbish. Take the money from this cash grab and reddem yourselves in the next one. You guys really had something good going with the past entries in this series, this one is a real disappointment.

Based on what I have read with other ratings, this game sounds like a huge disappointment. It's great in the way of graphics and that's just about it. You can't run around systems and planets freelance like in GoF2, which was a huge part of the game being great. I guess if you want better ratings and a better audience, I would completely reconfigure the game and give it the freelance mode, re-release the game under a new title like "GoF3 Reconfigured" instead of letting money get to your heads.

GOF 2 was much better guys. In my opinion this game should have been a single purchase, but it's got a lot of in game purchase options and one that costs $43 AUD and that's with a 40% discount. The story line and campaign of GOF 2 was just much better and the user experience was one of the best. I hope they make a GOF 4 and go back to just building on GOF 2 without the in game purchase options and just a single upfront price.

Complete, utter rubbish. I can't believe this dumpster fire of a "game" came from the same people that made GoF2. Let's start with the controls.. Or the complete lack thereof. Stick & gyro are stiffer and more cumbersome than a 98-year old with severe arthritis. I would gladly grind for better gear thanks to the ripoff-centric system, but those controls. Good Lord. The graphics are a step up, though. But not enough to even salvage this monstrosity. I'm going back to GoF2. For the 5th time.

Woo. 4. Nov 6, 2018

The gameplay itself is great the graphics are stunning. It's missing that solo story free-roam of GOF2. The games menus are to heavily reliant on internet with menus and loading screens frequently becoming a pixelated black & coloured mess particulary the pre-mission war room and the ship dock. The loading screen flickers at 70%. My internet is strong and stable but the game continues to struggle.

Pathetic, I regret the 4 hours lost to play it... After having spent countless hours on GoF2, I was really looking forward to the 3rd part, but here it's pay to enjoy or do this stupid missions searching for parts helped with a searching drone... The missions of fights with enemies even stop before you complete the whole stage. The only positive are the amazing graphics, but 0 for story, scenario and gameplay. You guys should stay away from making games when you do something like that.

This game is total disgrace after gof2. Filled with bugs, screen freezes all the time and it crashes every second. Looks like support ain't paying attention because nothing has changed since I played it months ago. Hoped last update fixed it but no, downloaded got screen freeze 4 times in a row and uninstalled it. Such an opportunity and devs just wasting it. Still same after years
