Galaxy S5 LED Flashlight

I enjoy the fact it only uses camera permission. However, it is so bright I'm afraid it'll wake my little one up when I just need a bit of light without having to use the phone itself for light. If it had touch settings for bright brighter brightest would give it 5 stars. Regardless it's very bright imo.

It functions as a flashlight just like I need. No strobe ability or anything but I didn't want that anyway. And it has a cute little sound effect for turning on and off the light c: you can mute the sound with the mute button within the app if you don't like it but I enjoy it, it makes me smile.

It is a lot brighter then the one that was pre installed on phone, but I wish it did not open up a screen that I have to back out of all the time. The original never opened a screen and I liked it better. Keep it simple without opening a separate screen and you might get more.

What I love about this app is that is not invasive at all. Not need to have permission to access my phone except for the camera, and of course that's to activate the flash. This light is so bright you could blind someone for days; no need for peppers pray Lol.

Samsung light app allows quick n easy light. We think a its great app and would recommend it to anyone who likes light. Anyone who needs light in regular and difficult situations. Anyone who is affraid of the dark. Maybe someone who has a way with shadow puppets will dig the light. If you want and in some cases absolutely need a brighter environment well samsung light app is the best. It has really gotten me out of some seriously dark rooms. It will brighten up your day, and most of the time your attitude.

Just your basic flashlight app. Non-obtrusive advertising banner. No defect or malfunctions. It always opens, and always lights the way. But I am tending to use the light app that came with the phone because I can just click an icon and it turns on... where as this one you tap open the icon where it opens up the app in another screen, and then you press another icon in the center of the screen to get the light on... just seem like the few times I need to use the light on this phone I found it a lot more convenient to have the direct access with my other light app.

Many other lights make you touch the shortcut icon, then require another action to actually turn the light on. This one is instantaneous. Touch the icon and the light is on! Kudos for making this one simple! The only other thing that would give this light 5 stars is that when I turn the light off it would shut down automatically and take me back to my home screen instead of having to press my escape key. This would make for the easiest easy on, easy off. Kudos to the developers!

This app does what i need it to do! If you want or need a real flashlight then go buy a REAL flash light but this app is using YOUR FLASH FROM YOUR CAMERA. Its not intended to replace a real flashlight, this is a great convenience, same as the camera feature. This is a CELL PHONE That's it. Great light, great cam. Thanks Samsung.

I like how this application dose not drain the battery perfusly and doesn't have the unneeded stroblights and what not. Another thing I like is that the light stays on for more than three minutes before turning off. Though I'd like the light to be brighter I can't complain much. This app doesn't ask for any personal information like other flashlight apps I've read looked at.

Added it to my Note 5- Simple to use and works great. My one complaint is that Samsung doesn't have a flashlight app in the phone already, it's like not having power windows in a car. The one feature I'd add is to make it dimmable. A side note, no app makes your light any brighter than another app, they all make it as bright as it is capable of being.

Yet to find a torch app that actually works with the galaxy S5 while the official Galaxy S5 cover is closed (this appears to lock the phone and stop torch working) if I keep cover open it flaps in way and makes torch very hard if not impossible to use, if you bend cover back then it obviously covers the light!!! No win situation, and yet another app to delete!! 😐disappointed. If anyone knows of any to work while phone is in lock mode, please please let me know. Thanks in advance.

For the droid mini it works

Your GS5 flashlight is great! I had tried "Super Bright Flashlight" in the past. Unfortunately their app wanted access to 5 different areas of my phone, including my contacts and other personal data. Your app only wanted access to the light, as it should be. Thank you Ryan Yoder

Biggest little flashlight around. I live on 7 acres on the side of a hill. It goes from sea level to 800 ft in a 1/4 of a mile. We have buildings on several levels and some times the darkness just sneaks up on us. We used to have to stumble down the path using the lite from the face of our cell phone. Now we just click on our Galaxy Flashlight and find our way down the path from our work shop to my front porch. Oh, and did I mention that it help making sure we don't have any critters near by. And by critters I mean, bears, mountain lions, bob cats. And if you believe in them, you can keep your eyes open for Big Foot.

If you just want a functional flashlight app without all the useless crap features, like flashing colored lights, this is the best one I've tried. Light comes on when you start the app. You can then toggle the light off/on while the app is running. light goes off when you end the app.

First why isn't there a built in flashlight I didn't have to download like on my sg3? Second it's terrible. It doesn't stay on if you turn the screen off and with the screen on u accidentally touch the screen and turn it of a million times..super annoying. Where is the flashlight app like on my sg3 that worked great. How is something so simple terrible?

I had tried the brightest flashlight app. but there are so many things I had to do first just to get the light to come on so I came back to the Galaxy S5 LED flashlight and now I just push the flashlight button and the light comes right on. I will NEVER go to another flashlight app. again as long as I have this phone because it is the easiest app. out there to use !!! I JUST L❤VE THE GALAXY S5 LED FLASHLIGHT !!!!

There was no assist light on my LG phone. I downloaded several that asked for too many permissions. SG5 only wanted camera access. App works very well and I'm very happy with having a light now. 😷Thank you

Just a flashlight that works when you need it. Defaults to the 'on' state when opened, so it responds quickly. No silly other nonsense or options. I put shortcut right at the bottom of the home screen of my S3, so it's readily accessible. Oh, and the sound effects are cool.

On my galaxy I always had to struggle to get to my flash light when I needed to use just the flash light without the video recorder in urgent situations, this app makes it very convenient and handy. And it sits in the background quietly and does not disturb my device function.

This flashlight is not bad at all. What I like most of all, is that it is super easy to use and practical unlike the last one I had that would constantly go on and off every few seconds.

People were saying that it wasn't as bright as other lights but I do not agree. I think a light is a light and that's what I needed it for

Like the fact it doesn't probe my phone without the grease! Very bright! My son has a GS5 and his was a built in app! When I saw this app I smiled! (Had a power outage last night... Got in from work to a dark house, my son drove me home, and used his till i got a lamp lit )Thanks for a useful tool !

Excellent flashlight. Can't go wrong with this app. I've used it when I had to work on my car when I didn't have a regular flashlight. Great for home use too. Power goes out, instant flashlight. No need to fumble in your kitchen drawer to find one. Just use this one on your phone. I love it.

Decent but it won't stay on when phone cover is closed and it is very sensitive to touch and vibration. Light keeps shutting off.

Does what it's supposed to and the fact that it doesn't require full access to your phone like other flashlight apps is awesome. Would be cool if there is a shortcut to switch on directly instead of opening and closing app but otherwise it works well.
