LOVE my Galaxy Tarot app & have been a paid user for years, but for some reason, at the end of each year, it stops saving the Card of the Day. In every past year it has eventually started saving it again, but so far in 2022, it hasn't happened yet. Hopefully, the developers will figure out a permanent fix & it will just work correctly. I'll upgrade my review to 5 stars when that happens. Regardless, it's a fantastically useful app that gives excellent insight & I'm grateful for it! 💖🌟🙌🏻
My readings are often very accurate. This is the best online app if you don't have physical tarot cards on you. It's a great way to learn the cards. I got the paid version and am very happy with it. The only thing is that when I switched phones, I lost all my journal entries. Occasionally the app can be glitchy, but it's mild and doesn't take away from the real experience of gaining insight from your readings.
I've had issues with the backup to my email for over a year now. The issue was reported and I have reached out over email to check in on it, no replies at this point. The widget is not giving me the same card pull every day. I gotta say, I love this app. I have paid for the pro version and every extension on spreads. I have had this app for years, it's so unfortunate that it's not being maintained as much. I always highly recommended this app in particular, I hope the bugs are fixed soon.
Never any updates or new spreads, or new card designs, longer interpretations etc. It's hard to focus on the cards, with some of the patterns, which kind of ruins readings. Not many options unless you pay, which is a shame. I've been reading tarot for 28 years now.i use this app when I'm out and about. It's the most accurate, and the layout is great. Please update it though guys!! Different decks would be cool too!
I was really happy with the app at first, and even paid for the full version. But soon enough, it became buggy and annoying, often not saving my readings even though I clicked save. This is incredibly annoying for a feature you had to pay for. For some reason clicking on the cards doesn't always show their meaning, but zooms in, and you have to exit the reading just to see the interpretation again. I also sometimes get an error for google play services with the app font out of nowhere.
This app would be excellent if it weren't so glitchy. I often have to close and reopen it because it freezes. It would be nice if it kept a running log of all the readings without me needing to make a journal entry for each one too. The Fools Dog app does a good job of this for reference. That said this is still my daily driver. I really appreciate the descriptions, and it is very thorough with describing symbols, etc. It has made me a better reader because of it everything else is excellent.
The free portion of this app is great. They stuck with the classic Rider-Waite deck. Starts you off with a quick tutorial that is simple and helpful, then you're free to play with several different types of card spreads without any limits. The controls are intuitive. The prescribed meanings for the cards are concise well-written. You don't get bombarded with ads. It didn't even ask me to rate the app until the 4th day I'd had it, where some apps bug you immediately and constantly to do so. Kudos
This is by far my favorite tarot app. It is very clear on meanings as well as where the card is in the spread and how it applies. The only complaint that I have is it's not always easy to flip the cards. Sometimes you touch it on the side and it flips, but more often than not it zooms in on the image. I love that it can zoom in, but would gladly give it up for the flip to work every time. I upgraded to the pro version and I have to say that I have used all of the spreads and def recommen it
I personally love this app. It truly seems to connect with me as much as my physical deck, integrating with the machines in the ethereal as we ar. The only reason I gave 4 starts vs 5 is the sharing feature has never worked for me. I've uninstalled and reinstalled with no improvement. Screenshots fix the issue so it's not horrible, but a minor annoyance. Love love love
Great for doing readings for yourself and learning the cards and spreads. I got the full version to save spreads with your notes and that's awesome. It has been a little glitchy tho - erased a few journal entries I saved, and when browsing the cards it doesn't always respond to me tapping the card to flip between the image and the description. Hopefully there will be an update. I also find it really hard on the eyes to read white text on black, I wish there was a setting to change that!
App is easy to navigate and use. I love that you can change the background and card backs. Tutorial is very well written and easy to follow. Layouts are great and easy to work with and the journal makes it easy to reference back on previous readings. It's a great app for on the go readings as well as learning about the cards. Great app support as well.
Love the concept and the features. Having all the card associations so easily accessible is just genius, and the UI pleases my ADHD brain. It's very intuitive and great for visuak learners. I want so badly to purchase the pro version (mostly for the additional card associations) but I simply cannot logically do that after reading the recent reviews. I will continue to use the free version of this app until the bugs are fixed. Once the reviews improve I will consider purchasing the full version.
Awesome app! Well designed, easy to use, all the features I'm looking for, and some. So relieved you incorporated reverse meanings! My only critisism is the share feature doesn't appear to work. I'd like to share via text and I don't see the option. The 'more apps' button goes nowhere. This app draws the same cards I've been physically drawing! I'm impressed and GRATEFUL! This was my first choice after reading reviews and checking features of all the tarot apps, I won't need to download more!
A digital deck! Great learning tool for beginners, but also useful for those who don't have their traditional deck on them or want to be inconspicuous. Great variety of spreads available in the pro version. The free version is very limited, so try it out, and if this is something you respond to, I'd just shill out for the full version. For a working deck that tells you everything you need to know about each card and also lets you save and journal your reads in-app, $5 ain't bad.
The best tarot app I've used. Even the free version is good enough! The descriptions and symbology keys are exceptional. You can save some important spreads and make notes. For example I draw a yearly spread, save it and come back later to check out again and compare. I went pro for some small amount and it is for life. I use it almost every day.
Update: 2021, bugs are still not fixed. I still can't share on Facebook, the notification setting does not work, the card of the day is not updating when it's supposed to at the set time that I put on the app, and now the widget for this app is invisible. It looks like no updates have been done since 2017. Which is very disappointing. i love this app but if the issues don't get resolved soon I'll probably uninstall this app. The bugs are quite annoying. Please fix. Thanks
I've used this application for years now, I love the card of the day...always seems relevant. However, the only reason I'm giving the app 4 stars is because consistently the widget only works intermittently. So right now the widget just won't show up, and it will be like that for weeks sometimes and then work again for a while and then not again. That's been an issue since I first purchased it. Overall though it is a wonderful app.
I absolutely adore this app, I've been using it for many years and across many different devices. I had finally decided to upgrade to Pro, but now I'm running across a few annoying issues.. =/ My widget has completely stopped working, becoming a blank tile, and the app only notifies me of a new daily card after I've already opened the app =( I really enjoyed both of those features because I'm crazy forgetful, and will change my rating to a 5 star as soon as the issues are resolved =)
I really really love this app as a reference and it's given me lots of good readings!! However I opened it today and it seems that the cards are merged together/overlapping during readings for some reason, with no space between them physically. This is the case in portrait and landscpe mode. Other than that bug it's great but would appreciate a fix! edit: appears to be fixed now!
The amount of sets is fantastic. I especially like the relationship spread and the basic single card. Everything is easy to access, and the cards are beautiful. It really feels like I have a connection to myself when I use the app. One small thing is that I wish you could save readings without needing the pro version, but it really wasn't so bad. I bought it, but I can see why someone would complain.
I've been a student for over 20 years. I've tried several apps, and this is by far the best. The daily card accuracy is so on point. Lately, I only use my physical cards when I need to really delve into Spirit or if I'm going through something especially challenging. Even then, I supplement the book interpretations with the apps' interpretation. I only wish they would push an update with new backgrounds and card colors/art. I use this app daily, and you will too. 💙
I personally think this is a great tarot app, but I am very new to tarot. I've been trying to learn about the meanings of the cards, and this app includes a lot of detail about each card, including a breakdown of individual symbols and colors in each illustration. I've enjoyed practicing with reading the different spreads, and especially like the card of the day feature. It's also quite nice that you can save your readings for later, if you don't have enough time at the moment to study them.
This app is wonderful: it provides a lot of information and associations for the cards, it has quite a few layouts (especially with the reasonably priced pro upgrade!), it assists with analysis, and I absolutely love that the user selects the cards rather than it just being computer determined (which always turned me off of other tarot apps). My only suggestions for improvement would be (1) allowing us to add custom spread layouts (I.e. using spread designs that don't exist already in the app and/or changing the meanings and order of card -placements- in existing spreads) and (2) some way to change the front of the cards artwork (either by allowing users to upload different art or getting other art choices in app, though this would obviously would break some symbolism associations listed in the database) wouldn't be amiss either for some people! Otherwise, this is hands down amazing work!
I wanted to update my review, I'm sorry it took so long. This app is the most consistently clear and matches physical readings of entirely different decks. I use this when I'm in a bind, don't have my decks or sometimes for live clarifying pulls. Its also a great tool for beginners. I love the all in one readings of the traditional cards, including in the art. I feel that part is often left behind. Very pleased and would buy again. Absolutely worth the investment.
There's a bug that sometimes causes the time of the daily card notification to be ignored — it took 3 days before it finally worked and, yes, I enabled it correctly. It's worked ever since. The daily card notification also spoils the fun in drawing it manually to find out what it is. Other than these annoyances, it's a great tarot app... Thanks for replying, but how long will it be for a new update? The last update was over 4 years ago in June of 2015.
Love this app! Very helpful for learning and quick reads. I paid for the upgrade and like the journal feature. I do wish there were options to choose (or buy) different decks, and I wish the meanings were more detailed. I always end up checking other resources for a more in-depth reading. Overall, I think it's a great app.
This is the best tarot app out there, and I've used a lot of them. Most other apps tend to have descriptions of what each card means that are too vague to be useful, and make it difficult to distinguish any nuanced differences between similar cards. This app has descriptions that are general enough to be broadly applicable, yet specific enough that you can understand how the card imagery leads you to think about a specific aspect of the human experience. And the symbol dictionary is excellent!
I was skeptical at first because of the use of an electronic device... but I have to say, every reading I've done so far have felt natural and intuitive. I love the explanations given , and also the further breakdown of symbols, repeating themes, etc... its a great tool for practice and learning. Great job 👏🏽
5/4: forgot I did have the pro version! Previous review: Started using this app a month ago, really liked it! Suddenly today I can't access my journal, which is where I've been saving my cards of the day. When I try to open my journal, I get a completely black screen. I couldn't find any option all over the app for backing up to email or other options (I have the free version, so that might be it) so I'm worried if I uninstall and install again I'm going to lose all my data. Very disappointing!
