Best remote app I have found. This replaced Peel for me. It cost something, but I thought the price was reasonable given the convenience. No annoying ads! Finally! Peel was good before they went insane and invasive. This remote isn't beautiful, but it's functional. I would like a little bit better support for advanced functions of DVR and cable boxes, but I can live with a few buttons that don't work perfectly.
The roku remotes do not seem to work for my non IR device. The app does have many remotes that are great for when you are somewhere you want to change the channel or adjust the volume. I've used it at the doctors office, restaurants, any TV I want to use it on, it has worked. I had to review again as this is still my 'go to' app for my remote control needs. I enjoy the feature of creating my own remote. Buttons as big or little as I choose. I'm wondering if there is an app for skinning my remote
My phone is not supported? I download it thinking okay. I have the newest Galaxy phone, why wouldn't it work. But apparently my phone doesn't have an IR Transmitter! You have to read carefully it only supports up to Galaxy s6, If your phone doesn't have a IR transmitter do not download this app. I paid $3 because I figured it was worth it, just for it to not work. I emailed them for a refund, just waiting to hear back.
I love this app! It has a large selection of appliances, an automatic option for finding the right code for an appliance, highly edible remotes, and remote templates! I could go on, but suffice it to say that this was an incredibly worthwhile purchase.
I downloaded this app seeing if it would work for my TV. When I tried to connect everything I was told the I did not have IR blast and to email. After a few mins I was told that the email address did not work, was wrong, or not taking emails. So now I am stuck with a charge that I can't use.
Actually works with tcl pro 10. I used anymote previously but it stopped working. This remote is now taking its place. You can add buttons from multiple devices from one remote. You can also change the size, color and symbol of the buttons. Im not sure if there is macros, hopefuly there is
Description said this works with LG v20. I had the following problems: would ctrl vol and turn on my Seiki TV, but took about 10+ presses to turn off. It would only open my Sony Blueray player. Not close or toggle power. Vizio sound bar: it would power on but nothing else. Optoma projector: power on/off but volume ctrl was inversed. There is no option for learning IR codes but you can enter in the hex codes manually. If you have them. Anymote has fewer issues as does the builtin QuickRemote app
This remote app works flawlessly with my Galaxy S5 and my Galaxy tablet! Functions perfectly and no obnoxious ads, and no invasive unnecessary permissions! The only suggestions I have are purely convenience suggestions. 1) Open directly to the programmed remotes. 2) Layouts closer to the factory remotes. If it never changes, I'm okay with it. Way better than the peel remote these devices came with!
I've tried others. This is the app you're looking for. It found some obscure devices other apps couldn't find. Very easy to bring things together into a single custom remote, and no annoying ads. Worth every cent.
App seems to use a hard-coded list of phones with IR emitters, instead of looking to see if there is an emitter present. I have a USB-C emitter, and am looking for a non-malware universal remote app to go with it. I'm disappointed that this one wasn't it.
Tried setting up my TV, and immediately came up with message saying my TV wasn't compatible and to contact the developer for a refund. I've done that multiple times now and I've never heard back from them. Just a waste of money.
Today I go to a meeting room at work for a meeting; the room was hot (Southern Hemisphere) and needed fresh air. Colleagues tell me that the remote of the aircon is missing. I took out my phone and used this app. Tried few manufacturers' remotes as the one in the meeting room was not listed in the app. after 30 seconds of fiddling and lo and behold. Aircon starts working and it was all good and colleagues were impressed 😉. Highly recommended.
Love it, been using it for a few years. Compatible with all of my electronics so far. Great replacement for my old remotes when buttons have started to fail.
Always been my favorite. Glad to see you guys keeping the library of devices and manufacturers, and most importantly the IR codes JP TO DATE! To any prospective buyers who are reading reviews and wondering.. which IR app should I get. If you want an app that can control virtually ANY IR device using your IR out/flasher capable phome/tablet <-- this is it. I'm a professional integrator and do Creston, AMX and all types of automation systems and have found this app an invaluable tool.
Best app ever. Everything works perfectly. This is the best universal remote TV on Google Play. Just only one click the tv is on. That's why, I encourage to everyone to buy this excellent app. Thank you veryuch.
read entire description before purchasing. this application requires an IR transceiver on your phone which many models lack. after seeing it in action on another device I was very keen to use this but like a chucklehead didn't read the entire page
I just purchased. So far, its working great. Easy to setup. Works on all if my devices. Replaced four remotes so far.
I bought this app and received a notification my device was not compatible with the remote upon set up, I have a galaxy s10e. The app stated I would be refunded immediately upon messaging them, however this is my third time emailing and I have not received my refund yet. Very dissapointed
Well it works, however it seems to be a bit outdated and doesn't include modern smart tv functionality for my Philips One TV.
It said my phone didn't have an IR something something. It told me to email the company. I'm just trying to turn on my devices, not communicate with humans. I did like that it had a refund button I could push right away.
Excellent app with superior support! If you have a question, just send them an email and they always respond, usually within a day. I've used this app at least five years.
Works as promised! Using it in lieu of a lost remote for an old DVD player in our bedroom and as a consolidated remote for my home theater system.
It days it doesn't support any of the brands of tv nor as dvds, at 1st I tried the ones I needed but found it weird that it didn't support any of the ones I needed to I looked at more and it still said the same thing so in other words they just want your money
Aside from device selection being a bit clunky (I'd offer suggestions but with so many devices offered I'm not sure how I could make it better) it's a wonderful app for phones with an IR blaster
Doesn't work with my galaxy s10+ what a shame. One of the newest phones on the market and I paid for this app cause it looked really good and had positive reviews. Poopy.
The center select button wont work. all the other buttons work. but that is one of the more important ones.
please advise how to use with PS3.. thats the reason i spent the $5.99 i will modify this review accordingly.. update.. i ha e been advised by the devaloper that an additional device, a IR receiver would need to be purchased. i advised him that ps3 controllers and ps3 bd remotes use bluetooth and that my pbone also has. bluetooth. maybe he sould earn the 6$ i payed for it and figure it out. although i cant even begin to imagine how to go about it in actuality but im damn sure its super simple for
Be sure your device is IR compatible. Thanks for the refund. My new LG phone isnt compatible like my previous phone was. But i got my purchase refunded. Thanks for honestly dealing with my mistake.
Great app. Only one my Yamaha receiver. It does not have all the functions. I can turn it on but cannot turn it off. I should give it a 4 star because I have asked for help and no response. If you want an universal remote without the ads and can almost program any electronic item in your house this will do it. This is my 3rd download over the years . You will need a tablet or device that has IR capabilities . I have an old Samsung Tab 7 I bought online. It has a ton of flexibility.
