It won't open. Tried downloading it several times and still won't open.
The app will connect to my phone alright, but the connection becomes so weak when I start to fly it that the live feed freezes and it's like suddenly there's no connection. What is the range supposed to be? Is there something wrong with the drone's signal?

This app will not even open up . This has got to be the worst app I have ever seen. I wouldn't even give it 1 star but can't give any lower.

I reached out to Protocol via email, and they said that they no longer support this app. Basically they gave anyone with an older model drone the finger, and so now they're effectively going to force us to spend money for a brand new drone. How scummy. This app does not receive footage from the drone camera anymore.
