Edit: Now contains ads. But still says ad free in the description... If I could pay and remove the ads I would (if not too much money) but I don't think there is a way so I'll be looking for a new photo app sadly. Old review: Great! I used to use Quickpic but it stopped working. Gave this a try and I'm impressed! Plenty of options to tweak the app how you want it. Does everything I need and more!
This app does exactly what I want of it, and more! It's very customisable. My new phone (Huawei P30) didn't have as good a gallery app as my previous (Huawei P9), so I looked for an alternative. I tried others before this but this is the one. From the option to hide folders, how they display, thumbnails, colours, full screen options... You can get your gallery how YOU want it. Fantastic.
Great photo and video gallery app. It was ad-free a little while ago. Then an update came up. I thought the update was to improve or add features on the app. It wasn't. I think it was just to push ads now on the app. But I didn't know that and I updated it. Big mistake. Now ads are being pushed and some of them are full-screen ads unfortunately. I guess now the only way to use this app is when you turn data and/or WiFi off on your phone first. Too bad. It was a decent gallery app before that.
Just like Simple Gallery. Pretty good gallery app. *Actual app icon is different than the icon in the play store.* Has some color customization, can pin albums so they always show on top. Can change number of albums displayed in columns but anything beyond 5 columns becomes unusable. But that's up to the individual. Also shows if the album is on a memory card, if the device has one. Would like the ability to adjust individual albums size width and height in the album listing.
I'm not one to go 5 star however, this app deserves it. It's very simple, easy to use, organized, and doesn't "reorganize" the shots. It allows you to transfer via BT, text message, as well as other means. Since I have a large capacity mad card, I no longer use Google Photos since I transfer my photos to my laptop once a week. I STRONGLY and HIGHLY Recommend this app!!
(UPDATE:) Now has ads. Ruined the entire app now. With ads, it's completely not worth using. Even the old version had this super-annoying "Give us five stars!" pop up that you could never get rid of. Avoid downloading now. The ads ruin it. / (OLD REVIEW:) Just the app I was looking for! Ad free and simple to use. Though I would strongly suggest allowing you to mark images into a Favorites section, as other apps have this feature and it'll make organization much easier for large photo galleries.
I paid for the PRO version to get rid of the ads. Now I'm getting ads, many of which are "timed" (no way to skip or kill). This is a very good cropping app that gets a poor rating from me because the authors took my money and continue to get paid (by advertisers). They waste my time and increase my frustration by filling MY screen with ads for stuff I never intend to buy.
I no longer enjoy using this App. Whatever change occurred to this App, I can no longer close this App without an annoying commercial advertisement requiring a separate exit request. The advertisement usually invites you to load another App using Play Store. This slows you down from trying to do something else and more important on your phone. Is there is a way to suppress this extra step? At one time I offered this critique. Excellent tool for Photo management. No interruptions from Ads.
It works just the way I expect a gallery app to work. Simple and easy to use. And since I have 2 photo camera apps, the gallery separates the photos into separate photo folders which makes life easier when viewing my outstanding photos. Plus the app has settings so you can easily customize the app to your liking. I am grateful to the developers for creating this app. Thank you.
Too many adds. I can understand having them to have support for you product. But when you switch folders and constantly have a new add that pops up. That's too much. There's not that much funding needed to support a gallery app. Come on. Tone down the adds. Or at least make a way to pay for an ad free version.
Found one of my old Android tablets while going through some of my old things. I totally forgot that it didn't have a gallery app pre-installed so i got this one and it does the trick. No ads as advertised. Im also surprised how small the file size is and that it barely needs any system resources at all. Which is awesome because my old tablet ain't that powerful at all so this app allows me to view photos, even very hi res ones, without slowing down my tablet.
Not so good. Have to shut down, then open and close - then open again everytime I want to download and tweet an image. Good editor for screenshots. But adverts are getting really annoying. The biggest problem is that it doesn't have an option to swap directories easily. Have internally stored images and images on my SD card. It shouln't be such a mission to find find images when I know exactly where they are stored. Would be happy to buy an ads free version if the thing actually worked properly.
This app found the pics that Google Photos couldn't so hopefully now I'll be able to manually add them since they recently stopped backing up and syncing automatically. No problem sharing photos via Facebook Messenger. Unfortunately there is no Crop feature as advertised so I'm going to have to keep looking for a better Gallery app that has that. I wonder if it's possible to try out more than one at a time without losing photos.
It was my favorite gallery until it started showing full screen ads with loud noisy music right in the middle of very quiet places like church or meetings, even when sound on the phone is turned off. Now I don't dare open the thing for fear it will blast something out! I would love it if that could be corrected.
I don't know if I'm allowed to give less then 5 stars but I'm going to specifically because they continually ask me to give them 5 stars. Eh, I really like this app, so back to 5! if there's a chance the devs could add some cool transitions for when I'm flipping through my photos, like home screen transitions, that'd be pretty dope. i haven't found a gallery app yet that can do that so... yeah, that'd be great.
After QuickPic self-destructed, I tried dozens of gallery apps, including paid versions of some. They were all too ad-ridden or laggy or such (one even stealing my cc information and running up a multi-thousand dollar bill). Then I finally found this. This one is EXCELLENT. Easy to organize, great tools, looks great, and no ads. How did I finally get blessed enough to find this app? I recommend it to everyone now.
Better features than stock gallery apps, but continual prompts to rate them on startup and being asked if I really want to exit the app every time I try and close it are getting REALLY annoying. And then you get to the full screen, randomly appearing adverts. I'm giving serious thought to rooting my phone and installing an ad blocker.
funtions are good but some that i am used to are missing. operations are slow at times with managing large numbers of files at once. look and feel are rudimentary but minimalistic is nice. folder cover select would be nice also. seems to have plenty of potential for future functionality, looking forward to updates. will continue to use for further evaluations.
Google Photos has been crashing for weeks whenever I open it under Android 8.1.0 on a brand new Alcatel 3T 8 tablet. My trouble reports to Google have all been ignored. I even deleted some larger images, fearing they may have caused the crashes. So I installed this "Gallery - Ad free" software based upon user reviews. So far I am very impressed. IT WORKS! My congratulations to the talented Indian programmers. Thank you for your hard work and generosity!
Originally promoted as ad-free (to gain large user base), then they updated the app to contain questionable advertisements without warning or user approval. I was not happy to discover a "LiveMe/Kitty" advertisement that had a picture of a barely dressed woman when I tried to exit the app. I wish I could attach the screenshot but it doesn't appear that Google play store reviews allow attachments.
My new tablet has a sort of gallery but it's not very good, Nice app, easy to use , unfussy layout and no adds well done , I don't have to bother with the stock one now, thank you....update...after using this app a while, I have noticed annoying Google placed adds popping up, a banner ad at the bottom of the screen and a full page ad upon exiting .
Pros: -many customizable settings including color themes & personal preferences such as scrolling, thumbnail, & other behavioral features Cons: -no multiple-select option except either "select all" or manually tap each photo -"rotate photo" is purely esthetics & not permanent like in other apps; the picture will bounce back to original orientation once you leave it; have to use an external editor to fix an incorrectly rotated photo -crop function is nowhere near as awesome as what QuickPic has
Unbelievably useful. I've tried, and paid for a lot of gallery apps and this is the best by far! The developer has a clear understanding of what is needed in a gallery app and has thought out the process without adding useless features and a poor UI. I would gladly pay for this app to support the development.
Does exactly what you expect it to and just as promised, not a single ad. Interface is simple, well organized and runs smoothly. Sometimes I honestly forget my phone didn't come with its own Gallery app with this installed, which is perfect.
One star for misrepresenting it as an *AD-FREE* app... then sneaking in FULL PAGE POP-UP ADS (many VERY inappropriate for kids) via a quiet update. No notification. No opt-out offered. I'm not even sure there is a paid ad-free version available. Doesn't matter because I'm not about to pay for what was ADVERTISED as a no-cost, ad-free app. I uninstalled and immediately found another great, simple gallery app that IS ad-free... and gladly paid for it. Dishonest devs get nothing. Buh-bye.
Been using this for a day, is very slow on opening folders to show anything.. I get a wheel going round and round. Also if you update a photo in a folder I get the same... It's like the app is indexing the folders, on first opening and then if there are changes - but it's really slow if you have a lot of pictures and folders. So looks like the app could be good, but is disappointing so far.
