I don't think I've ever deleted an app so soon after installing it. I LOVED the Samsung version, but I bought Motorola this time, so needed to install this version... When I go to edit a picture, all I find is crop. No option to adjust lighting or anything else. But it won't crop a picture. I click on the corner grid line and the picture moves instead of cropping. Ok, but when you let go, it goes right back to the picture and grid lines.

Screenshots! I take one, go to Gallery & it's not there. So I look for "albums" & there is no such thing on my Gallery app. I took the screen shot several more times and finally it shows up. But when I go back to look for it I can't find it again.

Honestly, I don't think I've ever written a review so soon after installing an app. I switched from Samsung to Motorola and miss the included gallery app I had before. This isn't a horrible facsimile of what I wanted but the ads make it absolutely useless. Trying to use it to organize pics on my new phone after backing up everything to the SD card in my old phone I attempted to use this app for about 15 minutes, under heavy use you'll get a full screen ad about every 10 picture changes, or 4 a minute if you aren't changing pictures as often. Transferring pictures I took on my new phone to the SD card was abysmal, I took about 30 pictures yesterday. I selected them to transfer to SD. About a minute and half later it was still working and I was sure I had accidentally selected an entire extra folder to move or something. Nope, turns out it just took over 120 seconds to transfer 30 pics. Might not be horrible if you just want an option besides the included photos app, but if you have to spend any amount of time finding, moving, or editing pics or file names this is the last app you should choose.

The problem is: when I zoom in a picture, there is some kind of delay if you want to zoom in again, so if I zoom in, and instantly zoom in again, it just doesnt do anything, you have to wait like half a second before you can zoom in again. So far I love it. Was looking for alternative to built in Google photos app which is terrible. I like that I can customize the way photos are displayed (group by date taken, etc), and even how the app itself looks (colors). Tested folder creation, moving pics, deleting pics, editing pics, it all works like a charm. Love that internet access not needed, SO much less intrusive than Google. Thank you!

Simple Gallery IS simple, but has a comprehensive set of features, and ultimately, I like it better than QuickPic. Also, it has a much easier time deleting photos from the SD card.

Really solid and feature filled photo gallery. There will be occasional bugs, but the developers are usually pretty fast to fix them. The free version is also solid, but I had some extra store credit lying around and made the jump to the full version. A few nifty extra features here and there that are nice to have.

I'm very happy with it. Everything seems easier to manage and it has features I haven't reached yet. For someone not sophisticated in technology but striving to adapt it's perfect. Nothings complicated or confusing. I recommend this app to all us older crowd that didn't grow up in the computer world. Lol. And to those left behind by thecnology. If u been in a cave or a cell and want to catch up with everyone else, family, friends, the competion get this GALLERY. It's all u need.

The only difficulty/ problem is, that everytime there is a new update, I have to uninstall and reinstall the app, to get it up and running again. EDIT 29/10/2019 Issue has been resolved, and this app is back to its best!! I love this app, it does exactly what I want it to, without features that I am not going to use, or have no real need for. I have been looking for a QuickPic alternative for long time, the search is over! I tried the free version and after bought the Pro version! This app is far much superior than QuickPic once was! All features and functionalities are really good! Pin, recycle bin, edit photos, increase columns for view mode etc etc, just too many great features to list. For me at least, this is Top #1 photo gallery. Loved it!

This app is a good alternative to the default Photos app. It has its benefits, I like the functionality and the simple interface. This is what I would consider to be equivalently designed with Apples simplicity motto combined with Googles Android OS powerhouse. A few of the main things I enjoy about this app are: - Built-in editing for cropping and rotating images. - Browsing folders as their own albums. - Simple, direct, no annoyances or special configurations required. Its worthy 100%

Thank you so much for the app. After recent Google photos update I got desperate - the snapseed editing was so slow, I had to look up new apps and found yours. I am so happy about features like when deleting a photo this pops up: do not ask again in this session. The only thing that seems odd is when I edit the photo in snapseed and I save it, simple gallery pro returns me to another photo, but not the one I just edited. At any rate, thank you again for this app!

Love this app, I found it to be an ideal substitute for the Samsung gallery! I initially had 2 problems trying to figure out how to sort by filename confusing it with the group by function and totally missed the option to change background colors. I cant blame the developer because I happen to be visually impaired. Overall, I think this application is absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend it!

This app now has way too many ads that are designed to take time to dismiss. Beyond that, it does not support images on my SD card. One is an unacceptable inconvenience, the other a showstopper in terms of functionality. I'm looking for an alternative and will abandon this app as soon as I have time to find an alternative, even if I have to write it.

Simple Gallery is a full-featured, non-intrusive photo gallery that does its job well. It doesnt want access to my contacts or my microphone or anything ridiculous like that. When I upgraded to the Pro version, it was free, as were all of the Simple X Pro apps (for a limited time). This developer deserves to get paid, though, so Im waiting until they go OFF sale to install them. Theyre that good. I mean its ninety nine cents, people.

galry app photo gallery photo gallery photo gallery an amazing gallery app but the last update made it a chore to flip through multiple images and videos in the same album. I would personally prefer they roll that back to how it was, it was a lot smoother then. Edit: Now that theyve rolled out a new update to let you go back to the old way, I have no problems at all with this app.

This app is rubbish, constant adds everytime i open & go to pic or snapshot & cant delete more than one at a time. Annoying

I do not like the photo app that came with my Google pixel phone because of the way it creates folders. This app has a separate album for each folder. Very easy to back up to my PC and keep my folder structure. It will be easy for me to convert my pictures to another app or phone should I want to do that in the future.

Searching through the Play Store, I did not see any gallery apps without ads. I didnt want anything fancy, I just wanted something to differentiate between Google photos and what was on my phone. I definitely did not want to be looking at ads all the time, some of these reviews of these other apps suggested that the ads were very aggressive. Not this one, though. This was perfect. Smooth operating, and a simple solution to my needs.

Best QuickPic replacement out there. Needs some improvements which I cant point out just like that right now but I will try when I encounter some problems again. Would like to see some cloud services integration to ditch Google Photos app etc. completely but maybe in a plugins form (different apks) to not litter base app too much and keep it lightweight as possible (like in Total Commander).

I disliked using the Google Photos app that came with my phone. I tried the free version and it was pretty much everything I wanted: organized folders, easy to share, good interface. Cant ask for anything better. Free works just as well but its worth $1.

it's amazing and no one can interfear with your privacy it's easy to use and it's does not consume much time

I used to use Quikpic, until its developers sold out to Cheetah. Those in the know will tell you that the app was quickly ruined with some very questionable privacy policies. Simple Gallery provided me with a lightweight and feature-rich replacement for the stock gallery experience. I love the configurability and the ability to hide and exclude folders.

But, even if you have to purchase it, you wont be disappointed. The only thing i wish it could do was add text to photos. But it does well for cropping, resizing, etc. All of this, and no unnecessary permissions!
