Gallery - Best & Ad free

It is honestly one of the best apps out there, especially considering how bad and unreliable (not to metion ad-ridden) are gallery apps in general. The only thing that I dislike is the fact that swiping up on a photo brings up options, which conflicts with gesture navigation for "home". I'd like to be able to disable this gesture inside the app.

This was just what I wanted when I installed it, however it is currently unusable. In the last few weeks the edit feature has stopped working. Now when I try to edit a split screen opens with whatever other open apps I may have and then I can't get out of it or make edits. It is very frustrating. I edit most of my pictures for one reason or another.

A major bug was introduced over the last month for this program. I love using gallery, but this bug is so bad that it's causing me to use other programs. For the developers, the bug is when you want to edit an image, screenshot or photo, the editing feature opens up a split screen of another active window. You are unable to manipulate the image at all even after closing that window of the other application. So in effect you can't edit it...

This Application is very much useful... One thing fantastic about this app is that we get date wise categorization even in albums. Most of the gallery apps would provide this feature for all photos only but not for individual albums. Thus is a grreat thing about this App. The reason for 4 star rating is that, besides the album level date categorization... There is a prob. It is taking lot of time for deleting the pics. Can be tested with 4000 pic deletion at a time. Please solve this prob.

Very good! Simple editing, sharing and quick info. However it's very frustrating to go back, once in the full screen view: if you flick up from the bottom, it immediately shows shortcuts to share and phone shows navigation buttons, which is fine... BUT when you tap "back", it simply hides the share AND NAVIGATION! So, going back to gallery view sometimes is not intuitive.

I've used this app on my current phone - Moto 67 power - and previous Androids for years. Easy to understand and use, good results. Wish: I could put the many folders I create into alphabetical order so they are easier to locate And Wish I'd could add text. Both those features would give the app a 5 star rating.

I really like the app. It has a great design and is done very nice and simple but has all the functions I want. My only problem is that the AI that's supposed to sort all my pictures by food, landscape, pets etc doesn't quite work. It sorted a few pictures, told me it has now all but it doesnt. It's maybe 1/4 of the pictures I have, and it won't add the other ones. I really like the feature and it would be 5 Stars if it would work.

This is a perfect replacement for the gallery that was on my Droid Turbo 2. Has several different sort features and some simple editing features. Allows me to draw on pictures which is a handy feature for sharing illustrated photos with others. I tried many galleries before this one and this is the best one to meet my needs. I found that many galleries don't allow you to draw on photos.

I love this app, but it's short of just one feature - Hiding Photos and Albums from viewing. If this feature gets added it'll be great. Other than that I love the app. Edit 1: Hello! I mean a minimalist feature of hiding, which just makes pictures invisible in your gallery. It's still present in the file manager and all, but it just hides it so that your gallery doesn't display it. When we have something private, and we hand our phone to our friends or something, so we can hide and they won't be able to view it. I hope you get what I'm trying to say ^^

I've been looking for a new gallery app and this exceeds all expectations, great job. It's smooth, the ui is great and I like how it's set up. The only thing I'd recommend is updating the transition when you delete multiple pictures at once, it's a little off putting first glance but overall this is an amazing app. I'd definitely recommend.

I have a problem. The app always reverts to showing me the expanded image catalog instead of staying at albums, where I want it to be... Any workaround? Also, I'd like to talk about a graphical bug I've seen... The options for an image are cutoff in portrait view as opposed to landscape view... Edit: thanks for the update. no more graphical bugs.

It's a good app with smooth interface but there's still room for improvement. One important thing that it lacks is the option to organize the order of the albums based on name, size, date or according to our custom order. It also gets laggy when a move a photo, even if it's 50kb and it refuses to delete some blank images that appear only on this app and not on my file manager. I tried to clear the cache but it didn't solve anything.

The app is great and this became my default gallery app at first use. I'm just having some trouble playing with higher resolution videos (mostly 1080p) and yes, this is my default video player as it is the most simple and user-friendly out there. In some cases video seems to lag a bit and it just freezes for some few seconds while the audio is still playing. I also tried a watching a movie at 1080p and it lags so hard that only the audio is playing. Nevertheles, it is a very great app!

It's one of the best gallery apps, I've installed. However, it doesn't have the ability to rotate images and editing in this app would result in losing your saved images since saving the image is gonna take you days or worse none at all. Still a great app for storing photos and videos, not for rotating photos.

Great ad-free free gallery going from Samsung's gallery to a Pixel 2 XL with nothing but Google photos pre-installed. An issue to keep in mind though is when playing videos from within the gallery, they start 1-2 seconds in every time and pausing and rewinding doesn't help (bad for short videos). It's annoying to have to use another app to play videos, which you can't do from within the gallery (another gripe). To get around this, you have to go into another app and find the video manually.

I read many of the previous reviews and was scared the same would happen but I still chose to download it. Just as they said the same problems appeared, the photos sorted in moments are all mixed up and for some reason they duplicate and the duplicate is always blurry. I have problems using the albums and the explore tab doesn't work at all. I could have stayed and tried more options but I was scared my photos would get damaged as some of the reviews said so I choose to uninstall. Fix it please.

Before anything, please, please, please add a feature to delete/hide certain albums without having the pictures in those albums deleted too. They can take up space and unnecessary duplicates are never good for storage. Please also update the cropping photos + trimming videos feature, both need a bit more precission. Nonetheless, editing tools are pretty generous, love the scrolling-by-date feature, generally a good app, especially if your device doesn't come with a default Camera roll. :)

Hi I'm very pleased with the app but I kindly request two things that, in my humble opinion, would improve it: firstly (and most importantly) is whether there is the possibility of adding the SD card icon in the folders so we really know unmistakably the pictures are in the intended storage. And, secondly, is whether there is the chance to add the zoom in function while playing a video. That would be great too.

The app is really good with good UI. May i suggest that you must add an icon on the thumbnails to indicate if they are videos because im finding it diffucult to locate videos. They all look photos. Or maybe add another folder that gathers all videos together. Deleting photos take time too. Pls improve on that. More settings too to change theme, hide photos and for security, put password/fingerprint.Thanks

Great gallery app. But "Albums" section should have most common option "Sort by". Please add this feature. It's hard to navigate through albums without any order... And would be nice if you allow us to have a choice with which app we want to edit photo.

I'm not sure about it generally....... But, It needs a much better slideshow function. Yet, I really, really like the ability (in EDIT) to create my own image presets for the Many settings: bright, contrast, & many more. [this ability is not mentioned in the app description― just touch the 'pencil' icon at the bottom of a displayed image, scroll to the right-most of the existing presets, tap "+ Preset" icon. Then, lots to explore using top & bottom icon sets, including menu.]

Glad to have the prob fixed. A happy user. :) APP UNABLE TO SELECT ROOT FOLDER, NOT SAVING EDITED PICTURES. I sent email of the problem. The name says it, best and ad free. I'm enjoying this app great job, a simple practical gallery. Haven't had any problems or seen any ads, editing pics is easy and you can retrieve deleted items from trash IF you haven't cleaned out that folder, that has saved me often.

A very nice gallery app, chose this over some 15 other gallery apps I tried. However, the feature/options next to none. It lacks the option to hide pics/folders. Even though there is such an option, the folder is still seen when we scroll to the bottom, thus defeating the purpose of hiding it! Also, I should be able to choose to open the gallery to albums view as opposed to moments view.

I used to use QuickPic until recently and although Google photos app is mostly ok i needed something that could also edit quickly such as rotate, crop, autocolor etc which this Gallery app does very nicely. I thought it had a bug when i went to crop and it didn't show any guidelines but i found that this was because i had rotated first and needed to save before crop would work properly. Maybe this could be improved but I'm very happy so far with this app and intend to make it my default.

This has promise. However, it's missing a number of critical features. For example, you can't rotate images. How is this possible? This is a BASIC requirement for any gallery app. In addition, thumbnails are cropped so that they're all square, but I want an option to show complete thumbnails so that I can properly see what each image is without having to open it. Also, as of the time of this review, the app hasn't been updated in more than a year.

I've been using this app for months now but it's very disappointing how after the latest update, it seems to have broken somehow. For some reason, it won't let me delete pictures. Even if I do, they turn up in my gallery again out of nowhere even if I remove them from the trash folder. This is giving me some serious issues since I can't be sure how stuffed my sd card is since pictures aren't getting deleted properly. Please look into it. Thank you!

Edit: apparently it was my phone's problem that I couldn't access my external SSD. Rate back up to 5 🌟. "too bad i had to part ways with this app. ever since i switch from 32GB to 64GB external srorage (both class 10), it failed to scan the pictures. but i loved this app, no ads, plays movies uninterrupted, etc. just let me know once you fix this app or if there's something i should change in my settings."

Kudos for keeping it freeware and ads free (bit suspicious?). Great app thanks. I'm probably going to switch from Google Photos! 1.Love the hide feature. But why are files still showing up in my videos folder even after placing them in the "others" folder. 2.Why are files being recognized as new files after being moved into a folder. Suggestions Pinch to zoom from day>month. Some stickers and a pen tool would be great add-ons to the editor. Gestures too (navigation etc). A vault (paid feature).

This fully no-ads (per May 2019) app works so Good 👍 UI was simple & clean, Loaded images & videos quickly, can moves files between folders, some editings, and the tagging function (faces, places, stuff) works even better than stock gallery of my phone. I hope you keep the good work for future updates. (you may change the app icon & improve the UI a little bit. Put the title inside the tab, so you can make it thinner, more room for images. No need a big header)

Since HTC no longer provides their own gallery app (which I loved), and I refuse to use Google's invasive "photos", I went a looking and discovered this little charmer! No ads, no creepy behaviours (such as eith aforementioned Google Photos). It's pretty easy to use and configure and light on your device's battery and other resources. The editing features are a little weird to understand at first, but offer a lot of options once you do. Thank you to the developers.
