Gallery Drive Sync
Gallery Drive Sync will manually or automatically upload the images and videos in your photo gallery to Google Drive. If you choose to retain all of the backed up images on your phone you can optionally resize them for optimal viewing on a phone screen. The photos look the same when displayed on your phone screen, but can use as little as 15% of the space they occupied before, saving you gigabytes of internal storage. Meanwhile the backups in Google Drive are retained at full resolution.
After your photos and videos have been stored on Google Drive they are easily shared selectively with friends and family.
Note: it is OK to move or change the names of uploaded sub folders and images in your Google Drive. The app will still remember which files have been uploaded, however if you delete a generated sub folder it will be recreated on the next upload.

I had also used this app for years and now the last half year disappointment. If I initiate manual sync it won't autosymc anymore unless I go back into the app and click the "manual upload success" screen. Thus if I forget it doesn't autosync anymore even though "immediate upload on photo" is set. Upload on photo is anyway very iffy now. Rarely works these days. Shame, was actually the perfect app.
It doesn't seem to work at all. I've gone through the entire configuration, gave it all the permissions it requested, but it doesn't sync with Google Drive. I'm on Android 8.0.0
This was a great app but it's now unreliable. Sometimes uploads, sometimes won't - even manually. I'm always having to second guess if pics uploaded. It also no longer auto deletes despite my settings.
Very useful application, at the first sight it seems complicated, but it is very simple and intuitive. Maybe, the developer could add a light theme. But, it is very very useful. I will buy it !
I've been using this app for over 4 years. On my latest phone which is a redmi note 4 the ap doesn't sync all images or delete from the phone. Not sure if the phone is the problem.
It works pretty well. Unfortunately, it does not see raw files (for example, dng). It would be nice to give the option of choosing the type of files.
used to be dope. now i cant even select an upload folder and get "error remote request" every time I try to do anything
when it works, it works. bur more often it just stops. aparently they let ads through that overwelm your phone rendering the ap unuseable. pretty sad. certainly does not inspire further investment.
the photos backed up by this app will be counted in storage, on the other hand, the photos are kept in folders in the cloud the way it was kept in your device, which is beneficial.
it syncs to google drive but is painful to do so and it doesnt sync back... meaning that on my google drive if i add a photo it wont sunc back to my phone

The best app to synchronise pictures and videos with Drive. Simple to set-up, you forget it's there backing up your images. Don't know why some people say it no longer works, I've not experienced any problems.
I got the app to have all of my pics accessible from the web. I synced each folder I had, one contained 320 images. The phone powered down during the upload, upon powering on I began the sync again. It duplicated every single photo in Google Drive, and then corrupted the original on the phone. No photos were lost, This is an excellent idea for an app. I am hesitant, but would definitely give it another chance. Droid X
Have used this many years and had never failed, syncs to googledrive perfectly and let's you delete the local photos from the phone without problems.
Excellent app for backing up your content up to Google Drive. This is been my go-to backup app for several years and is very reliable and has many features.
Works pretty well, although the setup is not very intuitive. But it does the job, which is good because there is NO OTHER APP ON THE ENTIRE PLAYSTORE TO UPLOAD MORE THAN ONE PICTURE AT A TIME to Google Drive. It's either this, or you can slowly, upload one, by, one. Good luck with that.
