Gallery Go by Google Photos

The interface of this app is good😀. The app is also running very smooth. But only the issuse is that when I was installing the app it shows that it has 5 editing options but after when app has installed it show that it has only 2 editing options (rotate, crop) that has disappointed me. If you fix this issue then I will give this app 5 stars rating😀😁. Thank you.

Sometimes the app seems to freeze when moving files to SD card but eventually it works, also you can't rename files and folders, otherwise this is a decent app.

In my phone this app in not able to save any video which i download plzz kindly look at the problem and fix it as soon as possible .

UPDATE: Can no longer move photos at all. What a pia. I'm going to find a different AND MORE USEFUL app. Original review follows: It works, but why does it ask for permission every time I want to move a photo? And when it asks (every single time), I have to be using portrait mode, or the buttons are not visible. And why is it unable to see photos on Google Photos?

it's a very good application but if you add option to select big amount of photos instead of clicking every photo??

I think it could have the function to delete or move to SD cards, which it doesn't. Só isso.

Does what it is intended for. My phone didn't come with a Gallery option so this is perfect.

I love this app but it leaves alot to be wanted. Like it's so bare bones add some features to it like a Vault so I can keep my private photos away from prying eyes. Icons on photos that are already synced with Google Photos and what's not. I have to go and compair photos between the two apps to see if it's synced or not. Lastly a better photo editor built into the app couldn't hurt. Oh and release a Beta app for me to join please!

Very clumsy. The pictures are constantly reloading into the app and can't be organized by date added, only by "recent" which includes when you last opened it. So instead of seeing the most recent photo in your camera roll out organized folder, you see a random one from years ago. The sharing features are also very lacking and hard to navigate. Let's go Brandon.

It was an ok gallery app since my phone didn't come with one. But then my folders in the app rearranged the photos inside them seemingly completely randomly and I don't know how to fix it. The app has changed the dates of pictures so that pictures from years ago are jumbled with my most recent ones and it's a mess. Please fix this.

Why does Google hate cropping photos in landscape so much? I'm convinced the developers have never used this feature themselves, bc it simply lacks usability. When you rotate your phone to crop a landscape image in landscape (a novel concept), the image becomes so tiny you can't do anything. It's even smaller than if you just leave your phone in portrait!

Great app. I have tried many different free gallery apps, but this one is probably the best one yet in my opinion. I had to move to a different gallery app because my default one started having problems, and I tried finding a free app that was simple to use. Plus, a lot of the free apps has ads and stuff, but this doesn't. Definitely deserves a 5-star rating.

I installed the app hoping it has a feature I've been looking for and never found, it's a feature where you give the app a schedule, like a studying timetable, and it organizes the images based on which time they were taken in, more specifically which subject they were taken in, such feature can save students a handful of time they spend in searching for a photo that was taken in a specific subject among maybe hundreds of photos of other subjects! I hope you implement this feature.

It's taking a long time to open the photos. Sometimes the photo does not open.

Not bad, but I am missing possibility of creating folders in folders as in Samsung gallery

There is no option to move data in SD card and there is no backup of deleted data

Faster and quicker than the normal Photos app from Google, but there are two downsides I see thus far: 1) you cannot multi-select by dragging your finger over the photos. 2) the VR function for panoramic photos doesn't exist. It also doesn't work for anything online (albums, etc), but that's a good thing in my opinion (and the whole purpose of this app).

Lacks five essential features, in my opinion: - sort options; - view options; - search feature; - straightening feature (currently limited to 90 degree rotations only); and - the ability to zoom during the editing process.** **The ability to zoom in on a photo when trying different filter is crucial when editing photos on a mobile device. The user can't determine the full effect a filter on the small screen of a mobile device with the ability to zoom in on the image.

It helps a lot because my phone doesn't have a default Gallery app. But there are times it bugs like hell. I deleted one video and the whole folder went into Trash. I had to restore it, which took a painful time of waiting, and brought all the unwanted files back from the Trash. I truly hope the devs would fix things soon, because this app is helpful, but not so convenient. Thank you.

There is no way to exclude particular folders from showing up in the app. For example, I have ~30 folders from album art; let me exclude those folders without deleting the files. Also, there is no way to set folder view as the default for when I open the app. I get that I'll never get that option in Google Photos (which I also have installed), but this app is called Gallery; give me the option to have the standard gallery view. Come on, these are very basic features.

It's a really great gallery app, and i enjoy using it. My biggest problem is i try to make a new folder/album — but it glitches and won't let me. By that I mean the new folder page pops up for less than a second then disappears. As an artist, it would be really nice to be able to sort my characters and reference sheets! Please fix this 😩

I'm very disappointed in this app since I updated it recently. Previously I was able to move photos to other folders and now it won't allow me to! This was my go-to app to create folder content and crop and edit my photos, and while I can still crop and edit, the fact that I can't move photos to folders is ridiculous, especially when in the menu the option to "move to folder" still exists! Please, please fix this asap Google! You say there are improvements and bug fixes? I don't think so!

I use this now on my phone instead of Google photos. It is much more efficient, quicker to load. It is able to look at the photos and videos on the phone as well as micro SD card. I really like the pared-down down Gallery Go by Google ;instead of the full-blown Google photos. You can still use Google photos. I highly recommend this program from Google. Everything just seems so much more intuitive and simple with Google!

It's perfect! I find it funny all the people asking for additional features, that's not what the go series by Google is for it's meant to go light to just go. You want more features then you use the regular app Google photos. For a lot of people their phones are older or not as robust as an expensive phone so the go series is meant to be light and lack features that you would otherwise have in the standard apps. Get a clue people...

Nice idea Google. I was waiting for something like this for a while. The only major problem that I've found is I can't select multiple photos/videos just by doing the "tap, hold and select". Hope you'll add that in future updates. Still waiting for an update 🙂. Found another annoying thing. The double tap to zoom is too much. I liked the scale of "Google photos". Can you please make it a bit smaller. Thank you for changing the double tap scale. Gonna wait for an update to add multiple selection

Very basic, it didn't offer any freedom. Pictures are organized by date, but spaces day by day, which doesn't really work for me. I want all my pictures one after another. When you scroll, pics are all white and they appear with a delay and this also doesn't work for me. You cannot pin albums to the top, so albums that I access all the time are lost down there somewhere.

Developers, add the feature of playing videos in background, as pop-up and as audio. If not possible, then alt least give the users the option to use another app as default video player. Your adding of these features would be very helpful as the lack of this feature makes the app look incomplete. Also, it creates a lot of problems. I hope that you will not ignore my request and need.

The app is great not gonna lie. Personally it was easy to use and a good experience. However, there are features from Google photos (the back up facility) which I am missing here and I know Google go is like a "lite" version but if I were to recommend you one of the two I would say go for Google gallery (especially if you have valuable pictures/videos you do not want to lose)
