Helpful app. My health insurance app currently only support "open camera" menu to send documents/images for reimbursement/claim (it will be better if the app can upload files from gallery too, right?). There is no way I can send files from gallery. So I've been searching the intermediary app to bridge between camera and gallery. Then I found this app. Thank you Felix! To use this, make sure you don't set the default app (the popup where you'll be asked "Just once" vs "Always"

I was hoping a dev or someone knowledgeable would explain to me why it is not requesting access and when I give it access to storage it doesn't do as the screen shot and other videos show. I saw something about your device having to be rooted and I messed with that but couldn't get my device rooted. What could another reason be for it not showing up while I am using 3rd party apps.

Don't pay attention to the negative reviews. These are people who don't know how the app works. FYI: YOU USE THIS APP FROM ANOTHER APP. For example, an app that only lets you add a photo taken with your camera right then. This app lets you select itself as default so that when you click on the camera icon, instead of opening the camera to take a picture, you can browse your files for images you've already taken. In other words, it tricks your phone by spoofing the camera. Not rocket science.

Worked perfectly. For people saying it is not working for them - it is not supposed be displayed between your applications! You can use it from other apps requiring camera access, where you can select this app to ise your existing photos.

download app -> change your phone default camera app settings to GalleryCam -> go to Gallerycam app permissions -> enable permission to read from storage, obviously because you wanna upload from that source. it's working guys, no need to root but minor changes to the settings.

Use images from your gallery instead of taking a new one! If you want to send an image from your gallery to a friend, but your messenger only allows pictures taken instantly with the camera, use GalleryCam! GalleryCam acts like a camera app, but instead allows you to pick an existing image from your gallery or some other storage.

Samsung S20 Ultra. Installed, rebooted phone, app never displayed. Under app search it is listed. Freezes from the install screen. Total waste of my time. Looks like I will look to another source.

works like a charm. does what it says in description. This app will not be seen in apps section. To make this app work you have to change your default camera with this app and then use any application(where importing pics from gallery is not allowed) to choose your desired pic from the gallery.

Exactly what i wanted! My company app only allows take pic directly but cannot import from gallery. This app helps me do just that. Simple but very useful for my work! Thx so much

Doesn't open up even after giving it all the permissions. The pop up menu just doesn't open up on selecting the camera option on another app

Absolutely rubbish, doesn't even show up, can't find it anywhere and doesn't show in apps or gallery

It doesn't give me the option to enable the fake camera on Kik, instead taking me to the default one, and I can't clear any defaults because none exist.

It's work for me. Its really helpful bcs my presence app cant load with my default camera so I'm looking for other option. And its workkk.. Thanks. Even tho idk it's side effect, is it bad or not, like scam etc.

This is the app which I looking for a long time. In this app you can select photo from gallery instead of capturing with camera.

Does exactly what I needed. Instead of being forced to open camera in another app I can select photos from my galerry.

Unfortunately did not appear as an option to use as the camera for other apps. Didn't let me select as the default either

Best app and does work perfectly.It's very useful in submitting stored images as live current image.

Are we supposed to do anything after installing? Cos my app doesn't pick gallery as a second camera. Even tried restarting my phone

Not working in Vivo V20 and also not working in Android 11 version...plz update apps..it's not supported with Android 11 version...

Pointless app... Doesn't work as intended and it broke the use of my camera when I actually want to take a picture...

I am not using this app in my s20fe device. Due to system update in Android 11 version. What I will do? Please help its very urgent

This is a shady app. Doesn't show up in installed apps list after installing. Uninstalled through Play store

I'm not able to access the Gallery cam from the Kik camera. It doesn't give me the option to change the camera so I'm confused

Finaly I got this one very useful app for submitting directly photos from my gallery instead of using camera selfie requirements of registering my personal data like Loan applications.

still taken instantly with the camera on KoBo Collect apps, can u fix it..? rate will be change. thx

It seems to work for most people. Does this not work on android 10? If it does please explain.
