Gamesome Frontend

This was a fantastic front end once upon a time but it no longer works properly on my newer devices so I have switched. I feel cheated as I paid for the ad free version. I wouldn't reccomend this to people anymore, there are DEFINITELY more updated projects out there.

This is very nice for rom organization. It'd be much better if there was a color chooser to change the theme to some other colors that are more likeable. Likewise, it'd be nice if there was sorting features for games (i.e sort by release date, user-choice sort for any order, etc.)

It's a nice frontend app for retro-gamers with few downsides that I found, some of the games' info (release date, etc.) is mistaken & misrepresented by regions & some home consoles (Dreamcast) don't have scrapers for it's games. I genuinely hope the developer would update this app soon

Used to be great but now its complete garbage. besides crashing every other launch it cant choose scrapers at all..it just does nothing when you try which means you cant even use the app since SCRAPERS ARE REQUIRED!!!!!. If you cannot even get your most basic of requirements to even use this app whats the point of even having it in the playstore??? The level of "stupid" that is needed for something like this is beyond reason. Cant use scrapers mean you cant use the app.. period.

Scrapers can't be set anymore which means the app can't search for or start games. This makes it useless. If the dev fixes this I'll make it 5 states and buy the no ads version.

I really enjoyed this app, but lately I have had issues with being able to select a scraper. Issue unresolved. Moved to new app.

Crashes constantly now, and sadly hasn't been updated in ages, a sad thing for an expensive paid app. Just goes to show, gotta be careful who you give your dollars to.

Crashed repeatedly after install. Facebook ads blocked my back button. Not usable.

I just have one question..... where can I go to get the emulators for this app?

Anyone who gives this a bad rating probably just doesn't understand how to set it up.

This game better be good

This was without doubt the best fronted on android. Very similar to launchbox on the pc. But development has stalled which now means some platforms e.g zx spectrum can no longer be added as it doesn't exist on the scraper selection. It's still good but with scraping support dwindling your mileage will reduce over time. 2 years ago I said don't mess just buy. Now I say don't buy it wait to see if the dev comes back

Update: it's been nearly 2 years and not a single update to fix any of the issues. It works very well, but sometimes the advertisement will still show even though I have purchased the pro version. Also sometimes the navigation bar will cover the interface, which is very annoying.

EDIT: latest update restores ads to the paid-for version! Very disappointing. :-( Looks wonderful, but unfortunately it seems to mess around with RetroArch's main config file, undoing some custom settings I rely on; thus making it unusable for me.

Looked promising but fell short. Not as good at finding box arts as similar apps. When I selected download profiles I got thumbnails for way more systems than I use and couldn't seem to find a way to delete the ones I didn't need. The final straw is my games won't launch! Example, GBA games, I go to GBA, I set my emulator to GBA.emu but still it fails and when I return to set my emulator, GBA.emu is no longer highlighted but something not even installed is. Became very frustrating in the end

Having issues with the app locking up while reading different games.the only system I got to read was 32x.all the games I have are from hyperpie website.

Works flawless and really easy to set up on my phone. Although i tried to set it up on my son's tablet so i could introduce him to retro games. But only android shows up. I've installed the same emulators i have on my phone but still morning shows up. On my phone i can click the eye icon and select what you can view but only android shows up. What could be going wrong?

I much prefer the design of this update. Good work. It's a pain to have to setup everything again, but worth it for the improvements. Do what you have to do developers, I'm behind you! ... Suggestion: Lessen the size of the boarders on the System/ROM artwork so the artwork can be bigger. I'm sure it currently looks great on a TV, but takes away from the experience on a small screen. Or maybe an option to change the size, if scaling is possible, so it can be set to personal preference.

No matter what I do I can not get it to scan the whole directory for any given system!! Starts off well, finds a few games, then completely freezes. What it does find is great. Has all sorts of info about each game it did find. But out of my 800 and some SNES games it found 55. Unacceptable.

Does not work on the Snail 78p01 gaming phone. Crashes when selecting a scraper please fix. Otherwuie a great frontend that works on my Nexus 6p and Samsung 6

It's not possible to assign emulator systems to single games. This feature should be possible due to certain emulators running games better than the other. Fpse and ePSXe as an example.

App crashes immediately on a Z5 Compact running Nova. Happy to change my review if I can actually see what it's like.

Loved this front end until I upgrade ld to android 6.0. Now whenever I exit a game, the front end immediately reopens the game. I have to completely close gamesome in order to switch to a different game.

Scrapping doesn't work at all. In best case a few are scanned, then the app does nothing anymore. totally useless!!

using this front end on an old madcatz mojo, works great, got 128gb sd card with all my game backups from my collection on here. and it's beautiful and makes life easy. also the auto start means I can put it in a mame cab and work seemless.
