would be nice to be able to select a unique alert sound so you can differentiate from other alerts. also would be nice to set time between alerts or a "snooze" time for when you need the door open for a period. otherwise it works. 10/19 update. I now give this app a 2 star. In the first months I used it I would get very quick alerts that the door was opened or closed, usually in under a minute. Now it takes at least 5 minutes but often up to 15 min. I'm usually a long way down the road by then.
The app is solid and setup is very easy. It would be nice to be able to customize when you get alerts like if garage is opened between certain hours like some other apps. Would give 5 stars if there were more options.
Extraordinary customer response: When I couldn't connect my device to my Pixel 2, I contacted Customer Service and got an immediate response. When they determined that it was a compatibility issue with my phone and Android version, they uploaded an update in they App Store within 3 HOURS which worked!
Just started using product and app, both work great. Simple quick and easy to set up, functions perfectly. I'm really impressed by this item and it's very fast notifications. Highly recommended ! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Have used this for about 5 years without issue. Had a problem with 1 phone in the family and the developer was really good to work with me. Great support.
Doesn't support querying. That is you can't "trigger shuttle bay door" only if it is open via Alexa... You can't say close door just trigger apparently.

what's the point of the app if i need my garage door opener to set it up? I lost the opener, hello. if i had the opener, I wouldn't need the app. I hate it when I have to point out the obvious. uninstall.
Requires additional hardware purchase to add to garage door opener and download of another app to connect to Wi-Fi and set up.
Worked slick! Saved me from leaving the door open a number of times.

Used to be great, but mostly useless in my new lg v40. Edit: looks my issues may have had something to do with the new phone. The notification problems I had are gone and its working as it shoukd again.
Won't let me register says my e-mail is a invalid format been using this e-mail for over 10 years
Installation was relatively easy with the exception of step 4, which doesn't tell you that you need to move on to step 5 to complete the process. As with any continuously running app, it contributes to battery drain. The only downside to the app is that you cannot customize the notification sound- it uses the default sound for your smartphone. So you have no way of knowing unless you view your notification bar that this app is warning of an open door.
Missing check status button in the app. To check status, you have to close or open the app every single time.

I purchased this off Amazon. Works absolutely flawlessly. Extremely easy to set up. Read the directions. It seems like the reviews I read where people are critical, they did not read/follow the directions. It's not that the directions are complicated, but they are specific. Highly recommend. This avoids having to turn around and go back and check when you question yourself as to whether the door was closed or not when you left. LOVE!
