I've just installed the app to test it before considering the premium version. I like the clear way in which plants are listed by Indoor, Outdoor and Container, each type with an illustrative icon. There is simple, useful growing information and being able to enter your own known local frost date is excellent. It would be helpful if, when entering a plant, a plot or bed could be added (very helpful for rotation); even better would be to then show these plots on a diagram (a big ask, I know).

It's not a real bad app but this should have a ability to put in your personal first and last frost dates. Just using rudimentary zoning information doesn't work very well in these times of global warming. We used to be zone 7b, and now are 8b on the way to 9. But even so, the first/last frost dates don't mesh with most zoning or historic weather data, everything has shifted, much is very regional. One needs to be able to manipulate these dates to seed at the right times

Been using this app for over a year now and was a little frustrated until I emailed them. Got a super fast response and an easy fix that was in the settings which showed more vegetables. In the settings app I had suitable for my garden checked and it cleared my issue. Thank you very much for a prompt response.

I think it could use improvement. I dont like having to click on every square to figure out what it means. also maybe adding information on growing via aeroponics, aquaponics, etc would be cool as well as a tip section with tips on how to enhance growth, making compost at home, etc.

Mostly aimed at US garderners. No option to change climate to elsewhere beyond the USA hardy zones. Unfortunately a limited selection of veggies, such as ones that would grow in warmer climates like dwarf bok choy, chinese water spinach etc. No option to add your own/to edit the existing veggies - eg the app tells me to harvest my tomatoes at 80 days, but most take at least 100 days. Pro ver gets u herbs and flowers but I saw no point. Otherwise UI is nice. Give it a try if you're in the US.

Beautiful app! It's so very useful! This is absolutely the best app! I'm very happy to find it. 😊 Update: Wow! I can't believe I didn't click the category button before. That's awesome! Thank you~ Old: This might be a bug with the app Swiftkey. Can't use swipe typing on the search field. But swiping works on Gboard. 🤷‍♂️ Update: I just clicked the category button and noticed all the categories I can sort by. I kinda love you. ♥

Recently downloaded the app. Really good info in the free ad. Really love the companion plant feature. One feature to add might be pictures of the various plant as seedlings, young plants and mature plants. But in all... this is a great resource. Would it be possible to add Black Beans. I have planted some and have only found limited info. Thanks so much for this. A gardeners dream. I am sure I will give it 5 stars with the full version.

It's a nice layout, but the estimating for harvest seems WAAAAY off. For example I followed the guide, had plenty of water and sun for my pointed cabbage. Grown in super fertile soil, and it's telling me to harvest now. The problem is its only 5cm high. You'd hardly get a mouthful. This seems to be typical for all plants I've tried too so far.

Downloaded the free version; took me about 5 minutes to buy the premium version. Exactly what I was looking for. Name, scientific name, planting and growing information, companion plant info, growing times and reminders, first and last frost, when to plant and harvest; it has it all. Best gardening app here.Suggestion: Please allow me to add the same plant to multiple beds. I have repeat vegetables in different beds with differing companion plants, but I can't use a single plant more than once.

I absolutely love the concept of this app, but in practical use it doesn't work. My app told me today that both my carrots and cherry tomatoes should be ready for harvest, but they are nowhere near. To get 5 stars and be the best there us, it needs to be able to link to a weather app and use your postcode to use accurate weather info to personalise the info it's giving out. A person in a cooler climate will get very different results to someone in a warmer climate. Future update maybe??

relove it, just wish you had more varieties of different plants, and have herbs and fruit trees as a choice to plant as well. Plus a button to click to say that your seeds have started to spout plus a choice on how many plants you may have planted. Other then that I love the app, very useful and gives information on companion gardening. After seberal weeks of using this app the alert has only worked once, and everything is turned on to receive alerts.

I loved this all so much I upgraded to the paid version. This in combination with the RHS app is the ideal pair. No account needed rubbish. Local data. Restore and backups with work smoothly. Thank you

Used to love this app, but the. I realized how awful their search was. For example. I can locate Jalapeno by typing J but not when I type Ja.. I also tried scientific name and no luck. UPDATE. It was really frustrating not being able to locate my plants/use the app. Dimitri contacted me directed and worked with me to replace my issue. Have never recieved that level of support. Thank you Dimitri.

Simple, clear information. Still new to this but Would be great if it could include: 1)More harvesting and yield information 2) a year long planning feature 3) Suitability of vegetables in different regions, climates etc.

I love your app! It's the 1st time I'm growing a vegetable garden. The information is so helpful, it's easy to use, and I love all the hints you give. Thanks. I'm from South Africa so following instructions as per a previous review where you helped a South African on when to plant.

Awesome app i used it la awesome up and used it last year for my carrots.it saved me all the googling. I had a good hadvest. thanks to the creators. Please consider making an app for animals. Like raising rabbits, broiler chickens, turkeys, etc. It will really help. I have all the information for breeding, gestation period, weaning and stuff like that on excel but it would be nice to have an app for it. Just a thought...

I like the variety of information given, too bad the information is incorrect. Sowing times for the Southern Hemisphere is completely wrong. All other research I did, says I can sow now, but this app says I can't.....

will likely go premium soon. I really like it, I downloaded 5 different gardening apps at the same time, this is the one that came out on top. it has flexibility of use, clear formatting of the information with a pretty interface, my critiques are the companion planting info should be listed on the main plant page, you shouldn't have to click through information to find it, and the ability to add custom plants yourself or submit plant varieties through a user community for addition to the app.

Very lacking in a LOT of plants and flowers. Makes me wonder if the devs are even very active at all. Its a shame because this is hands down the best gardening app. I just wish the devs would put more effort into it. I am a premium user and was very happy to pay for it...but the devs dont really update this much so not sure paying for it is even worth it atm

I love this app!! It gives me detail of how to plant and the germination!! But what is off is that it just shows not enough vegetables, it doent have cabbage and many vegetables I need to learn how to grow. But fhis is amazing cause it is offline wherever you go, you doesnt need signal.

Kat. Jan 3, 2020

Love this app and reccommend highly! A ton of new veggies added and features I didnt know about before make this app the most comprehensive I've found. By far the best free one out there. Will be making the jump to premium once this season starts!

Arq. Z. Sep 20, 2018

I've just downloaded. But under my garden section there are a few vegetables. When I click them I get a blank page saying the name of the app and nothing else. Please fix this also how do I delete plant entries? Please respond. Thanks

Kan. H. Jul 18, 2019

Very limited database of plants. there are a lot of common vegetables and fruits that are not listed in the database, e.g. blueberry, mesclun mix, bush beans, cauliflowers, etc. I regret paying for the premium version.

erc. Feb 11, 2020

Really useful app. I just installed the paid version. For future updates I would be nice to transfer or access the information to the computer, to help me create a like a "Field Notebook".

Great app...upgraded to Premium. Responsive and helpful customer service too. I now have a massive garden knowledge base in my phone and the calendar is fantastic.

The best gardening app I found!!! Informative and amazing! I wish all aspects were free, but understandably so, devs deserve payment for this level of quality app. 7/5 *'s if only possible. I'm keeping it for sure!
