Gary 311 is a free application for Gary, IN that allows users to report community issues, pinpoint the issue location with GPS, and attach photos right from your Smart Phone. Now, no matter where you are within Gary city limits, you can help City officials respond faster by identifying potholes, downed trees, streetlights in need of repair, etc. You can even request a recycle bin! This would be a great app, except I don't think anyone from the city actually works it. Submitted a quest 7/11/2020 and no one has responded.

You have to be at the location to report the problem. Well the problem is I don't have time to be reporting when I'm taking my kid to school. I have time now since I'm not making dangerous turns on W 39th Ave and Broadway and now today W 41st Ave and Broadway as well. Please fix your traffic signals at these intersections before someone gets hurt. There are people who do not stop at these intersections.

The app itself would be a great thing if the city of Gary would follow up on complaints and do something about the issues. Code enforcement has done absolutely nothing about numerous complaints I've made about a hoarder across the street from me for two years. I got Mayor Karen Freemon and 1st District Councilman Godwin involved and still nothing. Rendering this app useless. Very disappointed in the city of Gary.

My experience is just like everyone else . I am extremely disappointed. I'm trying to get a simple clean up job from general service and all I'm getting is the run around. I was even told by our council women to get a petition started. I think we need to pray 🙏 harder for the city and our officials.

The whole city is a joke. Don't waste your time, because I've called for 9 months, trying to get general services to do their job. The people answering the phone will tell you anything, to get you to hang up. GARY, INDIANA IS PATHETIC. THEY DON'T BOTHER TO PICK UP TRASH THAT IS DUMPED AROUND THE CITY.

Love this app, but sad to say it was the only I could get any info on Mosquito spraying. Calumet Township has not been sprayed once yet this year kids are Eaton up before they come home from school, this is sad.

The app is great. But what's the use of having this, and u don't respond to the request? A waste of time if u ask me. Good old GI !

Very sad . The city won't clean up the dumping because the lady who is dumping has relatives that are city employees. This app is useless.
