Uninstalled. Unable to add petrol stations without having to subscipe in their latest version. Now can't even re-add deleted petrol stations when trying to get it to work. Was a great app. Is no longer of any usefulness. Tried to tell them of this through their feedback channel, but was ignored. Had helped them with feedback in the past as I thought it was a great app to further enhance. Updates I suggested were implemented. Won't be rre-installing
The developers sabotaged the app with the latest update with the Z and Caltex gas stations, then release a new update and it crashes on my phone, I uninstall it, and the install hangs, but eventually installs after a long delay. The developers introduce bug fixes or (so called improvements) and it just stop the app from working at all. Quite a simple app, not a lot of graphics and they botch it up for old phones.
Didn't download, so put a review up, got a message via email telling me what to do..tried downloading it one .ore time and whalla it worked..thanks Ben, I didn't have to do anything different, it just worked..yea I'm up running again..
Instead of making a super useful tool, it's just become a stupid game where people post rubbish prices to collect stupid coins and gain meaningless ranks. It's no longer actually useful because people just mess about. You can't believe a thing on here now.
Works perfectly, there's nothing else with such a great user base. Very limited ads.
Often out of date pricing. Also needs an option to exclude gull when looking at 95 and higher options since they sell fuel contaminated by ethenol which is not what I want.
Great app until latest Android update. I run a Google Pixel 2 (not the latest Google phone, bit still kept up to date). I recently (2 weeks ago) had a System Update and now this app no longer works for my phone. Design team should definitely be keeping up to date on this more regularly. I've now uninstalled this app with the hopes to reinstall at a later date. Edit: all updated, so downloaded again. Zero problems. Thanks team!
Would be good if you could flag retailers that have a difference between their displayed price on the big sign and a different price at the pump. I experienced this at Z Papakura North today with 2.859 on the sign but 2.899 at the pump.
A really good app. I too support the community updating the prices when ever I go to a fuel station. Recent update seems so cool. It shows whether the station runs a cafeteria, has it got a washroom. That is really nice. It is the app I use to check the prices around before selecting a ⛽. If they can update if the station has got a tyre pressure gauge, that would be even nice. The distance it shows sometimes is less than what GPS shows..
When going into the app I don't get Mobil or some of the others . I uninstalled and down loaded again but still get the same info.
There's so much variation in fuel pricing plus I do a lot of miles all over so this is a great easy to use guide to get the cheapest deal on filling up 👍🏾
Adding a pay wall for discounts is too much. You obviously get funding from certain companies given their discounts are always there by default. You want users to update prices = keep the basics free.
Great app, works great. It's so good finding where best prices are, also fun keeping prices accurate and confirmed.
This is a great app but recently it has slowed down hugely when you try to update. Very frustrating!
When it first started I found it useful. When they added the future of saving discounts I found that great. Now it has advertisements for the very corporation that deliberately conspires to hold up the petrol price . z corporation owns caltex plus it will no longer allow me to save discounts instead it's trying to charge me a fee that is more than my fuel discount would have been. Someone has been very stupid and destroyed a good app I'm going to delete it
It wasn't working but the support team were quick to get in touch and offer a work around.
I like the app, but I have one gripe. I pass 4 petrol stations on my short commute to work. Even though I work less than 2kms from home, two of those four petrol stations are considered to be 'long distance'. You are only allowed to do 1 long distance update. That means I can only update the petrol price for 3 petrol stations to help others. Rather defeats the purpose doesn't it? Since when is 2 kms long distance? Other than that the App is a great idea/service and is easy to use!
This WAS a good app, until the developer changed the free feature that I use (station discounts) to a paid service. A monthly subscription? Get knotted. If it was a one off payment, I'd possibly accept that. But now charging for previously free content is just plain wrong. Money grubbing much? Read all the other reviews, I'm not alone in this.
Really poor. Can't sign on or register just keeps coming up with error check your connection even though I'm at home with unlimited internet
Free feature suddenly become paid - the discount calculation. This is not how you monetize your app guys, get some marketing lessons, people are pretty pi**ed off. Btw: the discount screen is locked down to any values you had set up before. Now I cannot even change it to zero. Had different discounts per different brands based on current promo which is now locked in app forever.
Used to be a great fully functional free to use gas pricing app. Now the app has been changed to a pay model that forces Z and Caltex pricing on users. Free version only allows addition of 1 other gas station price. I guess that understandably the developers needed to monetise to recover something for their efforts. Would have a higher rating if I could add 2 additional stations. Z and Caltex pricing being forced on me is pointless as they are always more expensive in my area.
Prices are unreliable. Caught out a number of times where prices confirmed within a few hours but when I got there, it was 10-20c higher than reported. A complete waste of time. Suspect some unscrupulous operators might've abusing this app. So far Mobil has been the operator that seem to have inaccurately low prices. Don't pay for use!
The app is a brilliant idea and would be one of the very best apps out there. There is 1 very big problem with it though. There are wankers out there that think they are being funny or that they are cool to post incorrect information and that screws with the whole point of the app. So until Gapsy finds a way to deal with this then unfortunately it isn't a great app. Maybe it needs a feature that will only let you update the price if you are close to the station in question.
