I had no end of problems with the app and the hardware. The device doesn't stay connected to wifi so it's impossible to use the majority of the features. Multiple trips were undetected by the camera as well as multiple locks and unlocks over a period of several hours. I tried resetting everything many different ways with no consistent success. Tried using spacers available with the lock to eliminate some other issues only to find that the space between the lock and the battery was too far apart and would not connect. Nothing but troubles.

I've been using Gate for almost 2 years now for my vacation rental and it's the only keyless entry I've ever had. Overall I love it when it's working which is most of the time. The best features are notifications as people come and go and video so I can see if they have all their suitcases with them so we can get housekeeping in early. Love that guests can only enter during their booking. Buy a 2nd battery. It can run out in less than a week. Sometimes wifi takes forever to update new codes

I'm on my 2nd lock now. The first lock had battery issues and connecting to WIFI. If you turn on motion even to low sensitivity it will drain the battery in 2 days compared to the 3 months it is suppose to last. I bought this device for convenience of letting guests in for a rental property. HUGE inconvenience to drive 30mins to give guests access... which is what I DIDN'T WANT! The 2nd lock was working well but camera video freezes & Wifi error is now occurring.

Finally, the 3rd unit is woking. Customer service was very sympathetic. I wish the software writers were more on top of their game. 2nd unit was scratched right out of the box. 1st unit shorted out the battery. A few more bugs need to be fixed. After recharging the battery, you need to log-out and log-in to the app in order to receive notifications on the app.

UPDATED: Support helped me get it working properly, but still has limited functionality. This should be part of a smart home, but isn't integrated with Google Home, Alexa or Siri... may not be for a while. November 1st: There is still no smart home integration and no indication as to when (if ever) it will be available. So disappointed!

Wish this worked better quite frankly. My video freezes up on playbacks and I have never had the live feed work right. The person on the other side of the door never can hear me. I tried getting support to help me out with that but they supposedly sent a software update and closed the ticket.. what a headache. This was months ago and I just now thought about writing this.

Works well for my personal keyless entry, but I have a storm door that blocks the camera's view of the left half of my front porch. It would have been more functional if the camera was at 9 o'clock instead of 12 o'clock. If the camera was positional, left, right, top or bottom, that would make it better.

The first lock worked ok so I installed a second lock on a different door. They notify the phone with long delays. The video fee won't load. One will say it is not locked when it is locked. Very poor software and support is independent and untalented. I don't recommend this product.

My lock goes down to often and then it takes forever to get help with the lock. My lock is installed on my store for paying customers to have after hours access every time this lock goes down its for a week or more because tech support only responds by email once a day. For such an expensive lock we should have more access to tech support. I'm about to ditch this damn lock to the scrap pile.

Notifications dont work; have tried everything. Knock doesnt work. Volume is very low; can only hear in complete silence with ear right next to it. For such an expensive product, the operation and software is lacking.

I have to force close the app multiple times a day to get any notifications, only for it to stop working again after about an hour. Still not able to lock remotely or watch live stream unless motion is detected. Biggest waste of time and money!

Bad choice, you should at least be able to lock and unlock remotely whenever you wish not just when there is not on. You should also be able to stream video live on demand.update software is going from bad to worst lock unresponsive and locked us out.update /$50 a year doesn't get you the new festure"emergency button".

I love the lock but it is annoying that the features I bought it for are at least 4.99 a month! App does not unlock door unless it shows motion. You have to pay 7.99 a month to get this feature. Other than that it and the lock work great!

The worst app ever. Never worked as you woukd expect. 19th century apo. Poor in featurs and the features it has diesnt work. i did everything the troubleshooting suggested and uninstaaked and reinstalled and even have the device replaced to no avail. the company didn't touch the soft ware and didnt uodate anything since the first version. I'm one if early adopter of this device. Too bad that the software engineering coukd not deliver. this coukd be the best product on the market. But its not!

Pretty much just use the code as a lock seeing i never get noified someone is at my door. Been nonstop issues. Doesnt even automatically lock without jamming. Cant lock the door unless there is motion. Etc Should get part of my money back seeing only one feature works. They want you to fix their product for countless hours without reinbursement. If im going to fix it for hours pay me for my time. I purchased it thinking it was a final product!

just bought one and it will not allow me to add access codes. also turn the motion sensor on high and I practically have to dance in front of it for it to even detect me. at least, fix your app so I can add access codes, please.

It's useless when someone knocks on the door but it won't give video feed if it doesn't sense movement. I want to see who it is before I open the door but no manual way to turn the camera on. Not sure why it doesn't sense movement when the person is right there

Buggy app, uninstall and downloaded a new on, now I can't even input the 6 digit code to get started, when it does work the camera is too late starting, you ended up seeing nothing, unless the person stay long enough.

worked great for about a week. now no matter what I do it never alerts me I have no idea who's coming and going kind of regretting it. ***Update** so the company reached out to me and bent over backwards to correct my problem.
