So it works.... but the UI needs a lot of work. For example, after you place an order, your receipt/details of the order are buried under a profile menu called 'activity'. Would be good to have your latest 'live' order on the homescreen. Also, no way to find the time (unless I missed it) you ordered for (on the order details or the receipt i had emailed)
Not sure if the reward system is better or worse than before. A voucher for every £10 might actually be better value than just getting stamps for visits. not a huge fan of new layout and can't browse the menu without starting an order. Although my biggest issue remains that there are no stores close by anymore.
Terrible. Can't pass the onboarding even. 1. The form is absurdly long for a loyalty scheme app 2. The bit with the sms pin is broken - app doesn't take the received codes and you can't edit the first two digits after inputting them. After 10min of failing I gave up. Also. I had an account with collected loyalty stuff that's now inaccessible. How come?
I managed to order food after a few attempts. I was offered a loyalty reward but when trying to pay, the order was blocked, on the basis that I was not spending enough to qualify for the reward (£7.95) - but I was spending over £37. I wasn't able to remove the loyalty reward from my order, so had to start again. The app doesn't save any time because you can't start your order without your table number and you won't know that until you have been seated.
Lost the order. I waded through a poorly structured menu not understanding why items were greyed out. Then I tried to find the way forward but manged to go back.. The silly app wiped the whole order. Then when I started again I touched the wrong item. There was no way of immediately correcting the error. I gave up and deleted the cr app.
It just doesnt work. Apparently I have rewards to redeem but when i click on them it comes up with an error. Considering this app is advertised on your menus you need to have a serious look into the problems that EVERYONE is reporting. I used to go to GBK a lot because of the rewards, but dont think I'll visit again until I see reports that the app is fixed.
Firstly I am rating the app experience not the restaurant. Just logged in first time in a whole and must say the app got really bad. Tedious login, no clear continuity from previous app and worst of all cannot look at a menu without first commiting to an order, seriously let me browse the menu if I want to see latest changes, I don't want takeaway and I'm not in the restaurant but cannot view the menu.
Old app was awesome and worth 5stars! This new version is a mess. I had to sign up again with the same email as I seem to have been deleted. All my progress with vouchers/visits have been reset. The old app was perfect and easy to use with great UI, why change it? Also It is showing the wrong date of birth which I can't update because the app is basically broken.
The app is pretty, but awkward. I "ordered" food twice, only to have my orders lost cos I'd not signed in. I signed up, and could enter my first name and surname, but not my date of birth, as the Android popup keyboard blocked that and the "next" button. If I turned my phone to "landscape" mode, the app restarted and lost my entry! I managed to complete my order only because I had a bluetooth keyboard, which resulted in the popup keyboard disappearing so I could use the rest of the screen.
Should have listened to the other reviews here. Genuinely the worst restaurant ordering / sign- up experience I've ever had. We chose our food on the app, went to pay, at which point it told me I needed to sign up for an account. Went through that process, and it had deleted the entire order. Readded, went to pay, and that's another whole awful multi step system of having to add a card to your account before you can use it to pay. Avoiding GBK again until using this isn't a necessity.
Well worth having when it works, but it's been broken for about month now. Today the server is actually running again, but the app throws an error when trying to update order price. And that happens every time you add something to the order, so, yeah, you can't actually order anything.
Takes 10 minutes to order. Have to ask the staff how to order (not intuitive and end up with more contact than a regular system). No notification that my account registered. Not user friendly - in fact the opposite - stressful! 1 month of bad reviews and apparently no change with the app. Not even sure if my order went through...... *Still waiting.....
Shocking. This app has so many issues that to list them here would take so long. The most important is probably that the touch is not actually working for so many Ui widgets which makes it unusable. In the end we spent 10 mins trying to order, and we kept getting failures and we had to ask the waitress to input our order manually.
Unfortunately, since the app was updated I have been unable to order and pay with it. It just says card not found. I have removed and re added by card, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but it still does not work. I can't even give my profile number to the restaurant staff as they tell me it is only valid with purchases through the app! I have missed out on loads of rewards as a consequence. Please , please fix the app so it works!
Just awful change to the app. Tried to order food, but the special we wanted wasn't on the app menu. Went to pay at the till to find out that way I wouldn't get points. Lovely man on the till tried to help by using the app to order the rest of the food with just the special through the till. Then the app refused to accept any of my cards (visa or mastercard) I was frustrated, the employee was frustrated. I used the old app for years with never any problems - please sort this out!
The workflow of the app is poor. You are first presented with a menu. After making your selection, you can specify yoir table number, but once you enter the number and click ok nothing is added to your basket. Items added after this stage can easily be wiped off by mistakenly navigating back one step, which is clearly poor design.
Useless. Took 3 attempts to place an order. Had to start from scratch each time. Finally takes payment. Requested receipt via email. It arrived with no transaction or order number on it. No record of order in the app. Called restaurant who confirm no order received. Reorder over the phone, pay in store when collecting. Come home to find charged twice, once by app, once by restaurant. Have to spend ages calling up and arranging ac refund for double charge. Will never use again.
Awful. The precious app worked and loyalty was rewarded. This one ignores all previous visits and to gain points you MUST order on the app when sat at your table. Problem is, it doesn't recognise payment cards so you have to end up ordering at the till. There is no customer number to provide the till staff, so no loyalty points are given! Go back to the previous app.
First did not recognize my login details, had to create a new account and lost all previous stamps/rewards. When I came back to use the app again it did not accept my login details again, and the app wouldn't let me reset my password, as when I requested it it said "could not connect to server". I tried to create a new account as that's what I had to do that time, but I couldn't as I got the message an account was already assigned to my details. Missed out on student discount etc :(
Put in my food order, whilst sitting in the restaurant, successfully entered my payment details, resulting in a successful payment message appearing, however nothing was sent to the restaurant order system. There also isn't a way that you can check your order status within the application. With this bad experience, I won't be using the application again.
the app used to be very good. This new flow is very confusing. it says: 2 more stamps for your next reward, but when going in it says: you have unlocked a free side with a tick next to it. After trying to use it in store, they said the tick does not mean you have a free side?!
Shocking UI and fucntionality. Whole process unintuitive; keyboard often covers buttons/fields; random blank section of screen; not being told to register first, before getting all way to checkout--> told to register --> sign-up complete --> boots you out/order wiped/start again; can't retrieve estimated 'order ready' time; bad description/title names. The inability to add same burger or side twice with 2 for £20 deal meant they prepped order minus 1x side (not the restaurants fault)
Menu is missing things like the all rounder deal. This makes it pretty useless for ordering at the table! Ordering for take away has been fine in the past, so long as you're happy with the standard menu.
App is difficult to use. If you click back while working on an order, it takes you back to the homepage of the app. Crashed every time I tried to pay leaving me unable to place an order through the app at all. Ended up placing the order at the counter, and paying £2 at the counter for the exact same order.
It fails to accept any card payment be it Visa credit/debit or master/maestro. Absolutely tear my hair out! It is ridiculous they claimed to fix the issues of the old app with this new one... Except it creates another waves of issues! Funny the store asked me to try to do it on Deliveroo not even thinking Deliveroo doesn't conver everywhere! Gbk need to do better or improve the Deliveroo coverage or it'll lose its customers quick!
Utter and total garbage. Got past the need to re-register, could live with the lost rewards but then it gets fun. Allows you to order but when it come to payment phase order fails for unknown reasons. Have tried numerous credit/debit cards that work elsewhere to no avail. Whatever muppets GBK hired to build this disgrace of an app should be fired asap before any more damage is done to the brand.
Same issue as everyone else. Used to be a great app for the rewards, you could even order from your table! But now nothing works. The "something went wrong / no internet" error message is rampant. Please fix it or bring another app out! I'm missing out on all the rewards. :(
To start with, the IOS version of the app doesn't even let you log in or register as it won't let you access certain fields in the login process that are required to proceed. So I resort to downloading this version on my work phone. I managed to log in which is a step in the right direction, but you can't look at a single thing on any menu until the nearest restaurant to you is open. Just weird.
