GCDroid Pro Key - Geocaching

I have been caching for years and having tried many apps over the years recently came across GCDroid after testing trial version for a while I am more than impressed and decided to buy it. Great for offline caching, especially with offline map feature where all your caching can be done from the map screen. If your into geocaching with an Android this app is a must!

Edit - I spoke with the developer and he had to make this cange to comply with Geocaching's TOS. MY CONCLUSION: This is a great app if you are a Geocaching premium member. If you are a basic member, it is more limited than the official Geocaching App. I have really liked this app, but now, it no longer loads cache details. I reauthorized my account and uninstalled and reinstalled, but am still having this problem. I would be happy to revise my review to 5 stars if i can get this problem fixed.

Best geocaching app on Android. For just a few dollars this removes all ads and all limitations! The app is well maintained and is kept current with Ground Speak updates, including the new api which is coming. I've been using this app for around 3 years, maybe a little less, so that's what... less than a penny a day??? :-) I LOVE THIS APP. Thank you!

Great product and super support! The off line databases make it possible to make your own collections of caches, for instance after selecting with GSAK. I have a seperate database with Waymarks. The import of files from Dropbox works like a dream.

I like the simplicity of this app. My only issue is you cannot edit the log/field note which is really frustrating. Also you cannot take and upload photos.

It's one of the best phone apps I know for GC, I'd give it a 5* if it were not for the way logs and drafts are handled. There are a few issues to resolve, item by item deletion is one of them.

I have been using GCDroid exclusively for Geocaching for the last 3 years. I find it's many features and friendly user interface much easier to use than the official App. Also, the developer is continually supporting the App, adding new features to respond to changes made by Geocaching HQ. Now there is built-in support for Adventure Labs, the HQ_checker for Puzzle Caches and soon GeoTours as separate Database Lists. Can't say enouh good things about this App.

yes you need to be prem and yes its Totally worth it! the easy fast acces on cache info is amazing. offline maps amd databases. are what brought me in! looking forward to learning more!

Been using the app for about a year now and finally started digging deeper into it. With the downloadable maps and off-line databases, I can geocache even without a data connection which is important because I love to camp. I bring all my caches (over 80,000) into GSAK, message them to my liking and then export. Email the export to myself then look at the email on my phone and they are downloaded straight into the app. Recently had a problem and received a quick response when I sent a facebook message. Between the two of us, we figured the problem out quickly which turned out to be a wrong export setting with GSAK (use GPX Ver 1.1). If you geocache with a smart phone, it is definitely worth getting the Pro-Key version to take advantage of all the features.

Nice app but it would be great to be developed a bit more. Seems to drain the battery more than other caching apps and even after completely closing the app the icon still appears in the phone's notification area. Not quite good enough to make it my default caching app just yet!

Descent app for geocaching. Can't find the cache hints

Having moved from Apple to Android I have been searching for a app to replace what I had been using. Not only did I find one but this app is brilliant, easy to use, more features than ios app. I highly recommend this app as the only one you will ever need for geocaching, outstanding! . The Coffee's

Developer deserves a reward for his great app. CONS: You cannot log in-cache trackables (you even don't see if there is any), but every other thing in this app is great. PROS: GCDroid is smoother, faster and cleaner than any other similar app.

It keeps telling me I have to be a premium user to do stuff. I want a refund of someone help me please.

Ftf search doesn't seem to work at all. Won't post online log, just 'field note'. Like the satellite view on map. Like the ability to live load a search on the map, instead of trying to access every cache as the map scrolls.

This app will not show up too use. Please help I paid for this and can't use it.

The FTF search was one of the reasons I bought this key. The other was Field notes which works great!! The FTF not at all. The other features work perfectly! I love this app and have almost entirely changed over to this app. To everyone being passive about this, buy it!!!!
