Race content is great....when you can find it. The app used to be fine when you could browse all of the past races and choose which highlights you would like to watch for that race whether that be short highlights, long highlights or the full race. Now you have to navigate through many different different reels, it's over complicated. I spend longer looking for the content I want to watch than watching it.

Garbage tech. Per their technical support: "delete the app, restart your phone, reinstall the app". That's the solution when you lose the live broadcast and have to watch from the beginning. And guess what, that doesn't work. Too bad they can't master 2010 technology, because the broadcast is great.

It used to be very good but there are various bugs preventing Giro viewing pleasure. I'm finding that if I need to turn off the live stream at any point I can't get it back, I just get 'RESUME' which always defaults to the start of the live show, which would be ok if I could skip ahead to the live pictures but I can't. Not great if you're trying to catch the last 10k! Have reinstalled and relogged in several times but still can't watch the live race. Frustrating user experience, please fix.

The app was previously laggy and frustrating to load but I could get there in the end. Now it just keeps freezing so I've given up and gone back to SBS to watch. Update 4-May-2022 Decided to try the app again for the new racing season. Watched the one-day classics without drama and was looking forward to the Giro. It's stopped casting again for me after the latest update. So, my 1 star review still stands. I've got no idea why their techs are so clueless.

Great content BUT. The app is still full of bugs and is getting worse. Constant problems casting via android and apple to chrome cast. When I do eventually get it to cast the quality varies from great to unwatchable, low resolution and constant buffering.....yet other times its flawless. Don't have this problem with any other streaming service. This really needs to get sorted!.

Was working OK early on, but then the app has just gotten worse and worse. The latest patch has made the app totally unusable for me. When trying to watch a race the app forces landscape which does not work on my phone because the developers have been lazy (screen is long). Also, after choosing a race you had a menu with great content; full race/highlights/last kms, previews, route etc. Now it's just "play" and the full race starts. Why degrade an app??

Review edit - switched to a new phone running Android 12 and with 12GB and an 870 processor. The app is pretty smooth and trouble free since. But it is still very heavy on the processor and it's the same with the desktop app. Run on the latest hardware it's perfect. Run on anything older and it's a disaster. Other streaming apps are much more efficient but I guess I don't care much anymore because I have the hardware to run it. Upgrade from 1 to 4 stars but issues still exist on old phone

Fantastic content. Apps getting better but still glitchy. If stream ever crashes (especially in landscape mode) you have to fully quit the app. There's no way to get back to home or refresh a crashed stream. Actually lots of the issues are landscape related. You can't launch the app landscape for a start. And if you have it landscape and go to watch a race, there's no back/home button on the stream until you make it portrait again. Actual content is brilliant though.

This is a great resource but it's become unwatchable on my Android phone in the last couple of weeks. Get these bugs fixed proto please, we're paying for this service. UPDATE MARCH 2022 - still getting playback issues on some catch-up and numerous highlight packages. App crashes or won't load. Often if watching a second stream directly after a first without leaving app. Sometimes have to reboot phone. Using Android 7.

Mixed feedback so far. The overall look and usabilty of the app is good but still obviously quite a few bugs. I have had to reinstall the app twice already to keep watching races ,(casting issues and race TV option keeps disappearing on the app). Early days though... EDIT - 18 months on and some of these issues still persist. Chromecasting in particular is a current problem. Works fine on one race then switch over to another and it fails to cast or buffers constantly. Very frustrating

So much promise, fails miserably. How hard do you have to make it to be able to find and watch the long highlight stages of the Giro? Future races are the number one thing that is pushed, you can't search for the highlight videos, after 10 minutes of looking still no way to navigate to it - who develops this trash interface?

Loved the Milano Sanremo 22 coverage. The app needs a lot of work. But I'm glad I can watch a race without issues on my phone, except when I watch on my pc it buffers for about 2 seconds every 30 seconds. It's missing. Notification icon for individual races. Ability to expand interactive messages as you miss the information on a long message. Routes/Profiles and Cover Pictures for some races. Cover art that tells you, you can't watch a territory restricted race, catalunya is missing one.

Not for the first time there is no option to select English language for the race commentary. And yes, I did try to use both streaming options shown (with and without the prestart commentary) Update. I can select English for commentary but this weekend no chromecast icon to cast it to my TV. Restarted the app and the TV, reinstalled the app, still nothing. And then as if nothing hapened the icon appears but the stream just keeps restarting and never actually shows on the TV.

The app responsiveness has improved a lot. However the "Race" section has loads of viewing options and it's a bit cluttered. Also needs a lower quality streaming option as it chews through data. And possibly an audio commentary only option.

Content is great. App pretty frustrating to use. Pausing live feed means you can't find it again, sometimes content is very low resolution and/ or fails entirely. It's a shame as when it works it's great...

Subscribed for a month to watch the Giro, but the video player for the app doesn't work at all. Can't watch in fullscreen, doesn't support picture-in-picture mode, and crashes every other time I open the stream. Casting also doesn't work at all.

App working more consistently. I would prefer if the race directory was higher, or when you select a race from the home racing screen you could choose if you want full, short, or long. Android TV works once I use a remote control app from my phone.

I tried to subscribe monthly, however something clearly went wrong and I could not watch any live streams. Every time I tried to watch I was led to the subscription page to pay again. When I clicked again I got an error message because I was already subscribed. Tried reinstalling, logging in and out etc. Not impressed.

Edit 08-05-22 Just completely spoiled the Giro 3rd stage by plastering the winner all over the front page. Nice one... So many long standing bugs but now also disappointed by recent decision to move race replays and highlights all over the place?! A bug can almost be forgiven, but this change shows little regard for the user.

Video player controls in the app while a live show is airing are trash. The video always starts at the end and can spoil the race and it's usually impossible to rewind.

After viewing a live event and closing the stream and reopening the application, you cannot watch the event live anymore. You can only "resume" the stream, and it starts from the beginning. The "live" button top left does nothing.

Clunkiest app I've ever used on Android. When I follow someone and they post something on one of the categories, it doesn't priotize that post to me. The app keeps on showing me contents from Apr when it's May. When I like a post, the like disappears. I know a friend of mine is following me but it doesn't show that under his 'following'. When I post on cycling inspiration it doesn't show up under that category. I can't trust that this app will execute any of my interactions on the app properly.

UK package live races no problem. Streaming catch up races is problematic due to constant buffering. No problem with broadband and viewing on a tv with firestick but don't bother with installing the app on a new Samsung smart TV

Really frustrating. Content on the app just doesn't load most of the time and I can never get to live racing via the app. I love GCN and watch a lot of GCN Plus on the TV but it's so disappointing that the app is so unreliable. UPDATE - Have uninstalled and reinstalled the app as recommended and everything seems to be working fine now! Thank you and hoping it remains stable.

Good god the app wasn't great to begin with but after the latest update it's unusable. Can't find the content I'm after and there's no consistency in how the races catch up is organised. Please please bring back the organising of highlights etc of a particular stage/race all in one place

Really excited to have this app and the subscription (apart from Rob Hatch), but I haven't been able to renew my subscription, which has now been cancelled. I will sign up again as I'm still keen to enjoy some of the content, but there are definitely issues to be rectified on this platform.

Love the content, but feel recent update has made it harder to navigate and find the content I'm after. Used to be the case that each stage of each race would be on one picture link and clicking the link after the race would go to that stage and the full live playback, the long and short form highlights, the final kms and all other race info from that day were all neatly in one place. Recent update has seemingly split all this content from one stage of a race into several different sections.

App works OK. Sometimes glitchy. Disappointed that most of the biggest classics are not shown in Australia. Got the app to be able to watch the races, only to discover that so many are not stream in Aus :(

I am not sure why I am no longer able to see the startlist of the live and future races. The app is extremely buggy and slow. Please work on that and also can I have the interactive feature for the live races back?

Great content of Race TV, but totally annoying a replay video starts over and over again from the beginning whe app is switched or lock screen is active. Update: Chromecasting is a nightmare. So unreliable and too often not working as expected. Update from two to one star. Edit: New app layout is great, but I miss the possibility to switch languages now.
