Very easy to set up app using P2P but playback does not work. It doesnt offer a date and time selection, you can only scroll back from the current time which is very time consuming if you need to go back more than a few days. When you have scrolled back to where you need to be. I recommend the lite version for playback. Secondly, when I enabled the mics built in to the cameras, that also does not work. App deffo need some work

Terrible app and not user friendly at all. I just spent half an hour on my phone trying to see something that happened 2 mins earlier and still couldn't find it. Video is VERY difficult to navigate through, no rewind function and can't pick a certain timeframe so I don't have to filter through 24 hours of footage to see a 10 second event. Playback should be easy and intuitive. This app is like software from the 90s, needs massive user interface improvements.

This app was really easy to use and worked well until they did an update. Now I can't playback video by set dates. I can only playback the previous 55 minutes. I can't find any help or support area to ask how to do this and it doesn't work from the playback video page. I just want to choose a date range and play that video like I used to be able to do. What has happened?

I use this all for remote viewing my DVR and dont use many of the features. I also use it on Android TV media boxes and there are some annoying little issues that if resolved would make this app much more friendly. 1) when opening the app on a device connected by Ethernet you get a wifi connection warning that cant be disabled. 2) you have to click on warning using a mouse/touchpad.....keyboard direction keys have no effect. 3) when exiting you get a 'are you sure' notification needing mouse.

For those users with no video or stuck at 99%, you need to change camera preview to "main" in the app. Bit of a hassle as you have to do it for each camera one by one. By default this update sets it to "extra" and if you have the extra turned off in your camera itself, you will not see anything.

It works fine for one day. It stops sending notifications to my phone after that. Although all permisions are allowed . So I have to reinstall it again and again.My mobile is note 9 Also it gives me an ordinary notification , I think it is better to give a different audio notification, at least give me a privilege to choose one. I hope you can solve the problem. Where are guys it is getting worse ... Anybody .....

As many users, I do not receive push notification when my phone is asleep but I receive them once I wake it up so I miss all the people at my door! I do not have this issue with other apps. I have a VTO2111 and an android 8 smartphone. EDIT: It is even worse with the new application of Dec 25., 2018. You can no longer subscribe to alarms with a local device on the wired LAN! You need P2P.

Works, but I want a 1-click Open App and Load camera live feeds. Too many clicks to start the app and load up each camera. I have one encoder and even if marked as a Fav, I should be able to go straight to the feed. Online LAN port takes even longer to view live feed from closed. On the phone, a vertical list of feeds in portrait would be nice, instead of grid

The app's interface is horribly designed and not intuitive at all, and once you actually learn it the worst thing about it is when playing back video, the scrubbing controls make it impossible to accurately land on a timestamp. You constantly have to go back out to narrow your search time to get the desired results.

It was great to start with but seems to get worse with every update. When I get a notification I open it up and it loads my live view ok but when I go to playback to see what has triggered the notification I get "Failed to connect". If I go through the app to my message centre again I get "Failed to connect". I'm getting really frustrated with it. Not much point to the app and cameras if I can't actually playback the videos.

Cannot watch recorded video, only gives 1 hr block 5 hrs prior to current time. So much for debug what happened in your home. I phone interface much more robust. Android users second class. Do not recommend.

Video Intercom was working fine but with latest update 26/9 the video streaming reaches 99% when the it rings and cannot see video or hear audio. Pretty much useless , it defeats the whole purpose of having a video intercom. Same thing happened with my wife's phone as well after the update.

The equipment and software does work, with many exceptions 1) CCTV Live view works most of the time 2) Playback works, with rather clumsy UI to choose the period for viewing, unable to sync the playback from multi channel 3) Playback video saving is not nice. Says it is saved to mp4, but there is no way to way to easily get it. 4) Doorbell functionality works, but the way it handles the doorbell notification is VERY VERY clumsy. When viewing the doorbell channel, and someone presses the doorbell, the app re-loads the channel. And when I press the green button to accept the call, it re-loads again. Then finally I can click to unlock, which then works only 25% of the time. Overall the doorbell feature makes the entire experience of using Dahua less appealing. I hope the app Admin will look quickly into this, as it feels like it can be a quick win. I would be happy to give this a 4-5 stars if the doorbell feature works more readily.

It worked for me until the last update, now will not connect. I have removed the device and reinstalled it in the app 3 times in 2 different ways, uninstalled and then reinstalled the software twice, still will not connect. And before you reply the device I'm viewing isn't working, the mate of mine who owns the business has the crapple iPhone version and he can view the system. It is the Android software version that is not working. Disappointing! P.S. tried the Lite version, same problem.

Latest Update - Using the AI cameras with Built in Strobe and Speaker the previous update before this one it was working perfect with the ability to not only activate the light and alarm - with this latest version they have completely moved that button and now I am unable to deactivate the light once pressed. Seeing as the security devices cost over £1000, I'm disappointed how poor the app is. The alarms do not work other than the motion alarm which I've now turned off as it drains my battery from the amount of alerts it triggers. The video playback is very poor and either pauses or leaves you having to come out and try again to review a certain period of filming. I don't remember the last time this app had any development, so I would suggest that some investment be made.

Latest update - stuck at buffering, it goes all the way till 99% and then it stops and stay there a long time till it gives a timeout I guess. FYI: I just tested prior version and it worked nice and then I updated to the latest version and this one is not working !!! PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS AND FIX IT !!!

This app has dramatically improved and now works for me as it should. Some of the explanations have been rewritten to make them more intelligible. Notifications come in as they should. I'm particularly happy with the new ability to specify the startup screen since it allows me to bypass functions I don't need. Well done!

This used to be a good app on my old phone. I just got a new phone and now it only works properly on wifi. When I am outside my local network, on 4g, I can connect to the NVR and receive notifications but can't see the video. Also if I'm logged in when I add the NVR it doesn't know camera names or trip wires, I have to log out and add the NVR, then log in. Needs some updates.

I have a different camera system and app at home and work. At work we have thiscapp. Reviewing clips is horrible. Clipping and exporting also hard. It is very unintuitive

Still can't get push notifications working, can't set the camera as a local device. Push notifications were iffy to begin with, now they do not work at all. Very Disappointing. Since you fixed the last errors, the app was working fine again, but now it is completely useless! I cannot even log in! It keeps saying UKNOWN CONDITION, TRY AGAIN! Nothing can be done about it! Your feedback feature on the app does not work, it does not allow any input. The app is now completely useless. PLEASE FIX IT!

Video playback is useless!!! I'm trying to go back to the previous day and I can't get to the time because it keeps jumping back to the current time. This whole App should be re-developed!! Very useless. Developer doesn't reply to emails either. They shouldn't be allowed to create Apps if they aren't going to bother helping with issues that users are having.

Inspite of data speed of more than 40Mbps, I am not able to view video without buffering. Most of the time I get 'Failed to connect' message and the screen would be blank and I have to switch off DVR and switch on again to get the video.

Since Android 11 update (UI version 3.0), this app no longer works when it switches to 4g. Currently running A51. Was working till Android update about a week ago. States "Network is disconnected". Works fine when running on home WiFi but no point when u can't remotely view. DMSS has the same issue. Got my old s7 out, put a sim in it and now can view CCTV via 4g. S7 running Android 8. Hope there is a solution soon. Otherwise the app is great, been using it for years but now carrying two phones.
