Gearbest Online shopping

I've used gearbest casually over a few years and haven't had issues. It seems a few months ago they had issues. App and site seemed to be down partially and some online chatter of company closing. Everything is back up for new orders. But I have an order of 7+ months not received yet. Can't contact support. Can't create a ticket (options dont work). I would say use at own risk at this point.

Well, the way to go through this app is pretty easy and I easily understood how to select the things I want. My only problem is the various levels that you have to choose.

Used to be great. Now prices are more expensive and items frequently don't get delivered. Gearbest is more and more a middleman for the products and takes no responsibility for refunds or delays in orders. Queries are difficult to make and app. Constantly crashes / times out immediately. The last 5 items I have tried to purchase have never been sent. Customer service (if you can call it that) refuses to help. Feels more like a scam. Beware , BUY ITEMS AT YOUR PERIL.

Very bad experience. Ordered 2 phones, from Top Rate store,over a year,and yet to receive them or a refund. Everytime I make contact it's a different excuse. Poor feedback from customer service

Scam site. Ordered and never received the products. They ignore all my communications with them. Haven't received any feedback for over 1 year from them.

Everything is more expensive, at least twice than other stores. Shipping cost is at least 20 USD or they do not ship. Offer of products is very low. Used to be regular buyer, but not anymore due to said.

The prices are extremely high.. do not buy from here😠.. and now not shipping to nz🤬 unless the item is high in price.. load bs!!.. nzd not accepted anymore 😔 fkng scammers!!

The app is intuitive and easy to use BUT they are a shopping site and I need to rate them on their ability to deliver. I've purchased multiple orders for $200-$300 on average. If you order a few items they are good. If you order many different products or a lot of one product they run out of stock and are just useless. Currently I have been waiting for over 3 months for them to dispatch the rest of my order. Their Facebook bot runs in circles and when a human eventually replies, nothing happens. They never commit to dates to ship orders out and give estimates which they never meet. The quality of their unbranded items is generally poor and items fail. Return shipping is very expensive and not worth the effort. Their pricing is a little more expensive than their competitors but they do have everything in one store.

The app is easy to browse and neat. No hassles with the purchases so far. They deliver fast and has options for even faster delivery for an extra fee. Even for an unregistered mail, which usually takes longer shipping time, you have an assurance that it will be delivered. And when you make follow ups, they will give you a personal answer and not an automated answer. All in all, a good app.

It used to be a good service, recently it got very bad. Last for orders have been a total failure. I bought Meizu headphones from them, amazing product but they stopped working for no reason. I've been trying to have them fixed by the seller that does not answer any messages. The GB customer service has been useless in the last two months, it's only able to buy some more time hoping you to give up even if the item is covered by warranty. I had to cancel two orders because the items didn't get shipped after more than one month of waiting. The sellers didn't reply to any of my messages. One item got delivered after a long delay. Stay away as long as it gets back to a decent service level

overall good but I have had a few issues. one product advertised which I tired to buy was taking a while to be shipped. I found it it was discontinued after I had paid for it. refund was given. also there's no way I have found to change the currency to your own countries. I thought the prices were in my currency and was shocked when more money was charged to my account than what the website says.

App is fine but I don't see much price difference from amazon which is obviously much better in every way. The point of these things is to get vastly cheaper stuff, but I don't find much of that here. Update: after having a problem with a product (they simply lied about it's capabilities... Shocking), they wanted and absurd amount of information from me to deal with it. The reviews seem very suspect as well. Dxextreme, banggood and aliexpress are superior to this company.

BEWARE! Broad daylight theft!!! How this app has high rating is beyond me. They advertise the best deals with one catch: They don't carry the advertised items in stock! But you won't know until you've bought the items, then you'll wait endlessly until you get an email letting you know that the items are out of stock, at which point they try to switch you by suggesting that you exchange your item for something else similar, and even if there isn't anything similar, they will then offer a store credit. They call it: Wallet Credit. Now, if you're lucky enough to have remembered to pay with PayPal, then you're in good hands, because you can get a full refund, but if you paid with your credit card, then you risk - according to many online posts - not getting a refund, but you still get the credit, which means you're still in the hook to buy from them. DO NOT USE THIS APP!! By the way, I also lost the opportunity to buy the same item (a OnePlus 6T phone) from another store here in the U.S. that had a good sale, because GearBest had a better sale (But for an item that they don't have). Advertising out of stock items is ILLEGAL and UNETHICAL!

The app is great, however it would be good if it would show the prices in pounds (UK) instead of in dollars for people like me from the UK. Even so... I have found the app to be easy enough to navigate. Love the points system you have, with the points adding up to money off the next purchases if I want to use it... That is a great feature. Love also that you have the flash sales, where you are already competitive....

I placed an order for an item, and got charged for it. That's normal, the item doesn't ship for over a month, no help or communication from seller and no help from support. I then canceled the order, I was never refunded. 😤 and have to contact bank to resolve the issue. Horrible, worst experience with an app ever... Time to un-install and forget the nightmare.

I've ordered many times from GearBest and the service as well as the products are excellent! Offers, points, daily promotions are present. The app is working quite well, one only minor bug but not bothering me at all, is that the app doesn't remember the currency. Apart from that, it's the best shopping application. Love it.

They use currency conversion on refunds the money cannot be returned to our payment method, so, we are stuck having to spend the money with them. They never have stock of anything. Gearbest was great a few years back, but not it' s the worse experience you can imagine. Months waiting for nothing, swapping for something that never comes also. Stay away from these guys, worse it's impossible. Got another order placed to use credit from last order. Waiting to be shipped for about 4 months now.

When it comes down to it, the app is a gimmik. Ironically, the actually useful (making money) benefits are only available online. They make you download the app so you can be further influenced by hundreds of annoying promotions, all the while luring you with their 'exclusive benefits' offers. Their points system seems interesting at first, but look again: they limit the maximum payout to a 'discount' of 10-30% the item's total cost. Summary- you can customize your profile on the app, WOW!!! 😒

Shipping times need to be better. Other than that, Gearbest has proven to be *mostly* reliable over the 5 years or so that I have done business with them. There was that failed Redmi 3 Pro that I had to return and bug then about. Also, prices are not as compelling as in the earlier years, when Amazon could not touch them. Still, a good place to shop.

Update August 6th. I received a defective item after waiting nearly 2 months for it to be delivered. I requested to have it returned and my money refunded, nobody responded to my ticket. Furthermore if I try to open a new ticket, when I hit submit, it deletes the ticket and restricts me from adding another one. I'm unable to add notes to previous notes, etc even though they're open. I'm never buying anything form here again. Stay away from them. They're a horrible company to buy from.

The app itself is very good, it allows me to navigate through the products and categories. so far the only suggestions i have are: - When you want to filter products by max amount, the min amount text field gains focus. That is annoying - Unlike the web version of GB, there's no option to add notes to seller before doing a purchase - it would be good to have a version optimized for tablets, in which the products grid gets bigger, showing more items, in bigger screens

Solid well built app. I personally did not find a deal. Gimmicky style coupon program that has entertainment value in itself. Just not an app/deal for me. Amazon, had same stuff faster cheaper and I do not feel uncomfortable to buy. (PayPal is an option though!) Shipping not cheap. Canadian prices were high. Off brand durability in question. Still kept the app and will keep checking in.

App does not work. Gives you a warning that you have enabled developer options and freaks out, constantly opens that warning, doesn't let you do anything, screens keep going back from where you want to go Ok, I guess I'll lower the rating even more. I had the latest version available on Google play. It does not work. Fix it.

I admit it. I'm addicted to this app/store. I find myself on it constantly, lured in by all the cheap, Chinese made tech. But hey, there are worse ways I could spend half my waking life right? But in all seriousness, if you've yet to install the app vs using a browser, the experience between the two is pretty significant. My only real complaint is that it doesn't let me "share" product links for some reason on my note 8 pro.
