Good app but it would be much better if there was an overall gear list. I have alot of equipment and it can be a pain to rewrite gear information in each new list. I would like the option to select the gear I'll be bringing on an outing and then add that to its own list
3 years of entry work on lists, painstaking data photoing & weighing every ounce of gear... gone is a flash. Thanks for nothing... this app SUX, don't bother!
The idea is good, but rewrite gear specs in every new list is a pain. It should be 1 time only for writing gear specs. Then reuse it as a template for each plan list.
liked the idea, but after spending hours editing my list it keeps freezing and deleted everything. Way too buggy.
I like that it let's you store all your gear and pick it out as you need it for your pack list. Been using the app for over a year now.
Liked the app till I got a new phone. All gone now because the account I created doesn't work any more.
Don't know when it starting but any time I move around, I get a message saying "this is a message" and I cannot get rid of it.
spent 4 hours imputing my information, went to add up pack weight and the app deleted 90% of my items.
Login and registration fail problem, here,s the message and nothing happened
i love useing gear zoo very helpful but last update was 2016 maybe add some new stuff?
You guys should include a summary or list of items that has weight on it.

The best app available for keeping a kit list due to there aren't really any other ones! Would be greatly improved if there was a gear database to search and you could edit the categories (I want all my gear in just one big list).
I really REALLY, like this app but I wish there were few things that were done differently. 1. When you open the app, it always reverts to the last list that was made. You should be able to set the default list you want to open upon startup. 2. When shifting between Oz to lbs and back again, the oz weight measurements change on their own by adding an extra decimal point. Not a big deal but kinda annoying to have to go back and change everything. 3. All category names should be changeable or deletable. No one In my family climbs but the "climbing" category can't be changed or deleted. It would be nice to be able to customize EVERY category or add new categories that aren't present. 4. My wife and I have a lot of the same or similar equipment. It would be a HUGE time-saver if I could copy my completed list under a different name. That way I could copy my list but title it as my wife's, then all I have to do is alter her list by deleting the stuff she doesn't carry or is different from mine. As it is now, I have to make her list completely from scratch even though it's 90% the same as mine. Please understand that I am not hating on this app, it is IMMENSELY helpful, I just wish it was a little more refined. Thank you!
The application worked for a little while. After some photo and data input, the app kept on freezing , very frustrating, so the application was deleted. I did have high expectations for the application.
Every item i tried to enter an item it would cause the app to close. Would have been nice for weight management for my bags but the app doesn't actually function.
seemed good at first until you waste hours taking pictures putting in the weight of each item and part of the items just go's away never to be seen again. what a bummer save your time
Has potential but I are it takes too much time to photograph and weigh every single piece of gear. Ideally the app would have a search feature that you could type in your item and brand, select the item from a drop down list, and then it automatically populates the info with specs pulled from manufacturer's website. Then you could edit if you wanted. It's a big task, but I'm sure you could have community submit manufacturer websites and specs for specific items.
This really helped me on my second Appalachian Trail hike to pare down my gear and make conscious, minimalist choices with what to take and what to leave behind! I'd love to see updates with more options, like different gear icons for the categories and all weight options be shown at once... but it does exactly what it was meant to do and really saved my back & knees! I'd even love a paid version with additional features!
Can you add funtionality to export the list to a checklist for packing (pdf?) or to put all selected items into a checklist in the app? Also I want to be able create different sets of gear using the same library of gear, but new lists are always blank. E.g. Summer, Winter need the same gear to choose from without having to re-enter all my gear again!
This is exactly what I needed! No more pencil, paper and calculator for me! Simple to add everything and then decide what to leave behind. It is so easy to adjust my gear using this app!

Great how there's categories and the checklist can be refreshed. Very well organised.

Has alot of potential and so close to being the app we are all looking for! Login is buggy (don't want to spend time loging stuff in if I can lose it all when I get a new phone and there are no custom catagorys. Also would be cool to flip through items with biger pictures after clicking the catagory
