Still the best app for tech & cyber security info! For both news and educational resources. You may occasionally have to deal with the app being banned by Google because of the tutorials it provides, but that hasn't happened recently and the developer is unbelievably dedicated, vowing to always upload another version if it happens again. Trust me, if you give this app a chance you will be hooked! In particular, the fact that the developer takes the time to curate and filter the news is huge
Great for keeping on top of tech news, and learning about some different topics. Highly recommended. Always regular updates coming out, and not only news but educational videos and guides. Stories are not too frequent and usually relevant. One of my most used apps.
Very informative and UI has individual design combined with classic tech aesthetic, really cool. Love the updates and the concept of the app embodying the classic "game progression"concept. Great for neurodivergent consumers and ADHD. Nice!
Well, I was going to leave a review, but it seems as though I've already left one, lol. I have been using Geek App for a few years now, and must say that the info provided throughout the app is fantastic and I will keep using the app even if the Google Play store and the Google higher ups continue banning it and Alien has to keep releasing more and more new variants of the app. Is there anyway you can update the app, because I've been receiving notifications saying that the app may need to be.
Always the latest and best news source for cyber security issues as they arise. Often, when I notice something suspicious, like a weird link on fb, I just look here and they already have an article about it! Much love and support! Great content we all need to know about, not for geeks, but for everyone.
Well-written articles include relevant and useful detail, retaining clarity through a quick and to-the-point pace. i especially enjoy the non-manipulative, respectful style. The prose is devoid of emotional appeal; and, has little bias. One criticism, or maybe I should ask first because I probably missed it: where in the story do I find the original sources? Thanks for this well-culled and timely compilation; I enjoy Alien Skills very much.
I would rate this app a 5 star, but the software seems to be designed to get multiple hits on the same news page by never loading the news on the first click, instead you have to go out to the homepage and click the story again. This is a very cheeky way to double the developers advertising revenue, we are getting pawnd! (OnePlus5)
Decent enough... Except something felt odd about the articles. They were either poorly written, or too well written. So I've copied a few paragraphs from several articles, pasted them into a search engine and found the original postings. Much to my initial thoughts - they were straight up rips of original works. Not the biggest fan of copyright due to the restrictions to dissemination of information; but if you want to copy someone else's work without referencing the OP. You lack integrity.
This is a very good app. I have used it on and off for more than a year and i have zero complaints. It has a good u.i., an extremely well thought out training program, and the news is always an eye opening experience. A very well rounded app. Ty for your efforts A.S.
I really like the briefing, it's short and crisp with good information. Thanks to the man who works on each and every day. Only thing I found disappointed is in learning part's predominant articles took me to YouTube. I'm not good at learning from videos. I prefer to have some kind of wiki how direction in learning!
This app really gets all the tech and other news I look forward towards reading every single day. I'd love to see more so this app gets five stars because it really does deserve a place among one of the best tech savvy news. I personally would love to see more tech/space articles seeing how commercial space is a serious endeavor and I want one place to find it all (not Google.. ;) )
This app is good for random tech news. It has nothing to do with CEH certification and there aren't any courses, Just tutorials on extremely basic computer/network knowledge. I bought the VIP pass thinking the ads would go away and the "courses" were behind a paywall. $3.99 isn't very expensive but what the VIP section consists of isn't even worth $1.00. The description of what is in the VIP section is extremely vague. DO NOT FALL FOR IT BECAUSE YOU CAN'T GET A REFUND FROM THE PLAYSTORE!
It has taught me alot about networks and computers in general and it allows for me to easily be updated on the various data leaks. All around excellent and easy to use. Even for a noob.
A must have on every phone I get. Great news snippets that aren't easily found. The editor / author has always ensured all content is summarised effectively and can be followed up and investigated further. Keep up the good work!
brilliant, even just for the daily news updates. then everything else like all the tutorials; pay a little bit of dosh and you'll get access to some seriously cool stuff.. but even if you pay nothing it's still awesome. if you're like me and don't know much about techy web stuff, this app makes it all seem not so complicated to learn..just opening the app & looking at it makes you feel matrix level cool. dunno how this guy does it all by himself, "dedicated" would be an understatement for sure
I have never used an app that is more up to date and informative. Most importantly the tech and security news. The tutorials are absolutely splendid. Saves my precious time and has never failed to give or direct me to the data I require. Damn shame there aren't more apps like this available on Google play. Wanting to express to all who read this post June 11th 2021. lf there is any way in any world to truly quantify the value of this data, please inform me. Peace to All.
I only use this app for news and haven't used any other features. The reason I like it for news is because they only post the most important and interesting articles each day meaning there are only one or two articles posted daily so I don't have to scroll through a bunch of boring articles to find a good one.
Simply an amazing app. A must have for any kind of tech enthusiast. From AI to the lastest advice on improved computer security, this is my go to news feed. There are also amazing tutorials to take advantage of!
I find this site to be very interesting. They report on many things that are not found elsewhere. They have easy to understand and concise tutorials about many things that if found somewhere else can be difficult to read. I've been looking at various sites for almost twenty years and the site this app takes you to is one of the best I've ever encountered. Try it! 👍
I am quite busy and always running around. This app gives me valuable security news without me having to put any effort into it. Notifications arrive about the availability and content of new articles allowing me to be as efficient as possible with keeping up to date. Great stuff and keep it up!
