It still doesn't feel finished but offering more of the stickers and some fonts for free/realistic price is a good start. It feels like classic Gaia (2004-2008) which is nice, kind of an odd contrast compared to where Gaia has moved to though. I've been on Gaia since 2003 and I am worried about the companies choices. You have a great site and I want to see it stay around for a long time. I feel like creating things like Geemoji instead of fixing broken elements of the site is spreading yourself too thin and creating distrust from your users. Quality over quantity. Just as a suggestion poll your users about elements that have complaints about and fix what you can and remove what you can't. At this time I don't think the users can trust to put money into an app like this.
How about instead of spending your time on stupid, "try to get money quick and completely failing" apps that no one has any interest in, focus your time on things users are actually wanting. Like, oh, I don't know, a properly functioning mobile version? Work on one app at a time please.
Instead of working on an app like this (that is way too pricy btw), fix up the official Gaia app that hasn't been updated/fixed for literally (not figuratively) years. Also, please stop becoming greedy jerks please.
The only freebie stickers they have aren't in my best interest. Any stickers I could want are no way worth money. I use stickers from other apps all the time and they are decent and free.
Please focus on gaia and not emoji apps that are ridiculously inconvenient to use.
Barely anything free and all the paid items are too expensive.
Downloaded it but never really used it.. (Update: its alright will be messaging more using it)
They send as pictures, almost none of them are free, and the prices on the ones you pay for are expensive. Please stop focusing on making money and go back to thinking about what would make your patrons happy, Gaia!
If I pretend for a second that I'm not a Gaia user waiting for other things to happen within the mother site & instead all I want is a cute keyboard app, this is just fine & very cute. The daily free downloads are what won me over. [Edit: Evidently the daily free downloads will not transfer to other devices, this needs an immediate fix]. Obv it's open for improvement, spellcheck would be nice, but I like it. [Edit: As for sticker recs, I'd probably want to see Stein, Mermaid/man, & Cirque du Gothic packs.]
Very Disappointing. I thought that there would be plenty of cute emojis with some of the best ones being the only ones that cost money. But there are so few free stickers that it's not worth it at all. If you want anything worth your time, you have to spend cash. It's just another money grab from gaiaonline. Poorly done and pricey.
Don't bother with this. Gaia is so shamelessly money hungry, they don't care about their users at all. This is no different.
I am copying and pasting texts to minimize keyboard switching. Also, I am trying to figure out how to use the font so it shows in a message.
It's too complicated to use. I send the animated ones and they don't move. So much work goes into sending the fonts that it gets frustrating quick. I do give a shoutout to the artists for their hard work.
needs a lot of work, its kind of a waste of time with the whole copy and paste method.
Dislike how pricy this stuff is
Downloaded this app just to rate it one star. Stop with all the ad's on Gaia for this trash! Why would I pay a dollar+ PER EMOJI?!
Every time I want to send an emoji or font text, it makes me type in who I want to send it to even if I'm in their message history.
Really buggy. Sticker bundles break the app, have to uninstall and reinstall to get new ones, losing previous freebie bundles. Updates do not work. Stickers are huge and when you chose to send one it forces a new message. Got to chose recipient again. The keyboards are hard to read and are without predictive text. I really wanted to support gaia in this but it isn't a good use of my time. Gaia, please refocus on the Gaia on the go app. It sorta works and could use some tweaks...GeeMoji is DOA. Let it die
It's beta, so It needs a lot of work. I suggest lowering your prices. The items are expensive.
Now that I'm able to have a font and actually use this is a keyboard, its OK. Its not the best, the space bar is way smaller than what I'm used to so I keep on putting periods instead of spaces.
Needs autocorrect and more free stickers and fonts...
these things cost more than most apps do. for single "emotes" that are the size of the sun. An open letter to the people behind Gaia: Work on your site before trying to come to the mobile market. Prove to your users that you can maintain even just that before you even try to come to the mobile market. You are not ready for the mobile market. The way you handle your $500 or more custom tickets proves you are not going to cut it on mobile. The way that your daily updates are just filter recolors of items for months at a time, and we never see quality of life updates, game updates, or anything, proves you have no fire here. Seriously. Mobile market is like big leagues for you, and you haven't even aced high school yet in comparison.
The sticker art is adorable, but when you send them, and the font, the sizes get ballooned so much the quality is lost. You aren't sending actual emojis, just pictures that have to be 'sent' to whatever app you want to use it on (In my case, google hangouts) so sending the emoji takes you out of the conversation you are in to ask where you want to send the image. The layout is confusing and if I weren't already scouring the forums on Gaia I wouldn't know what does what. A lot of things could be said about allocations of resources but I find the quality of the app itself the most disappointing thing. I may keep it installed to see what gets added, out of pure curiosity, but I would never purchase anything on this app, it wouldn't be worth it.
You keep sinking to amazing new lows trying to scam people out of their hard earned money. There is no 'emoji' in this app at all, just impractical, overpriced stickers. You can't even type with their 'free' keyboard because there are no fonts available without paying for them. I applaud you, gaia, for your new brilliantly stupid ideas. edit: After a few days I've learned more things. There are NO ACTUAL EMOJI'S. The name is completely misleading. They are all stickers that send in image files, EVEN THE FONTS. The 'keyboard' changes your keyboard to look different and to make your text look 'drippy' you have to highlight it and it converts it to an image file to send. This whole thing is going from bad to worse, impossibly. If there was a way to give it 0 stars I'd edit my review to reflect that.
doesnt work at all.. the fonts dont appear in chat even though the keyboard shows it. The stickers or emojis or whatever theyre are, dont work the way suppose to. You cant add it to the chat or message like text: you gotta send like a photo and goess through the process as if your sharing it from the gallery. Too annoying to do that. Its cute i love the animated kitties too bad i cant use them...
I tried to put one of these in a message that I was already writing and my s6 edge wouldn't let me add it directly to the message and took me to a whole new one. So. It's unusable. Did you have ANYONE test this? EDIT: anything i obtained for free doesn't get returned to me with restore purchases upon reinstalling.
When I first downloaded it, I couldn't use it as a keyboard without purchasing a font but you've now made a font available for free making it a functional keyboard now. To those who want to share the font you have to tap the eyeball and highlight the text to convert it to an image. The keyboard needs more settings and autocorrect. Also the prices are insanely high. You should be selling the packs for a $1-2, not individual stickers.
It's a distasteful cash grab that's an insult to the users and people who loved their site once upon a time.
expensive, barely any free. if you want a font (you know, the point of a KEYBOARD app) it costs $5 a pop. i got a lot of freebies thru gaia online... opened the app to find them all GONE for no reason. this app was a waste of time and resources for everyone involved
