- export your data from your preferred genealogy editor,
- export with UTF-8, UTF-16 or ANSEL character set,
- the file must have a .ged extension ; if not, rename it,
- place the resulting file on your smartphone or tablet sd card
- if you have photos, place them on the same folder, with the file, on your smartphone or tablet SD card

- The application does not find your file:Check that the name of your file on your tablet or phone ends well by .ged (lowercase). Indeed, to avoid flood you with filenames of any kind that he would find on your device, the device presents you only the files ending in .ged
- On Android 6, go to the Settings app> Applications> Genealogy> Permissions, and then select storage for the application has really the right to access to storage.

On Pixel XL loads the GED file fine, and shows how many individuals or families it contains, but crashes if you try to do anything else with it (ex: view any of the records).
Couldn't open ged file. App just kept saying couldn't find the file.
It searches everytime you open app, and no other viewing options to view tree
scans your drive every time it opens, even when it previously found your file. Needs to be able to set the default file on your device without the lengthy scanning. Also lacks tree views (ancestral, dependents). Also crashed twice while using it. Needs work.
Giving 3 stars , as it seems very promising and I like the design and layout , but not really much use without a Tree view !
On Samsung S5 Neo crashed every time I attempted to open it. Deleted
The view is simple. The App worked. I would like to be able to navigate by clicking on an individual as a child to view their family as a parent. Charting would also be nice to gain perspective.
