Generic Battery Drainer

It drains your battery. That's pretty much it.
How fast depends on the size of your battery and your phone’s processor
A smaller battery or faster processor means faster draining

Generic battery drainer drains your battery by performing any combination of:

- Intensive CPU work
- GPU computations(May also put load on CPU)
- Keeping the torch on
- Maximizing screen brightness with Wake Lock
- Continuous GPS requests
- Continuous WiFi scanning
- Continuous Bluetooth scanning

Choose which functions you want to run and which permissions you want to grant. If you don't feel comfortable giving GPS permission for example, you can still run the other drainers.

Permissions:

Some features require permissions to run. You can choose which you are comfortable with and deny all the others. CPU and GPU load do not require any permissions on. No data is stored, shared or collected in any way.

Camera:
Needed for turning the led torch(flash) on and keeping it on.
Access fine location:
Needed for making GPS requests.
WiFi state:
Needed for making WiFi scan requests.
System settings:
Needed to maximize brightness and keep the screen on even when this app is in the background

How it works:

When you press b>Start, the app will launch a foreground service with the selected drainers. A menu will then appear in the notification bar. You can minimize the app or even close it as long as the notification menu is not dismissed. Stop draining by pressing Stop in the notification menu.
Warning: If you turned on CPU or GPU load, your phone will run very slowly when using other apps!

Details:

CPU load:
Spawns one thread for every core in your processor and does a combination of Integer, Floating Point and Double Precision math continuously.

GPU load:
Performs parallelized matrix multiplication of random Floating Point numbers on the GPU. Excess load will also cause the CPU to be utilized.
Flash:
Keeping the torch light on uses battery, of course.
Screen and Wake Lock:
Keeps the screen at Max brightness and always on, even if this app is minimized or closed. Pressing stop returns the screen brightness to it's original condition.
GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi:
A scan is performed for each utility and when it finishes, a new scan is started. The continuous scanning drains the battery.

Tips for use:

- If you want to drain your battery as fast as possible, turn on all options.
- CPU/GPU load will make your phone less responsive and slower. To drain the battery while using your phone to do other things like messaging, watching videos or playing games, do not enable CPU/GPU load.
- Your phone might get warm while using this app. Be careful and check the in app battery status display from time to time.
- You can also set cutoff limits in the settings page.

My phone was malfunctioning and I wasn't able to shut it down or do a hard or soft reset like normal. Downloaded this app to speed up the process of draining the battery which was at about 70% charge. Took around 2 hours to completely drain, then I was able to restart it. Fixed the problems the phone was having.

It does exactly what it says, and I like that it lets you toggle individual actions. It drained my Galaxy S7 in about 75 minutes, with all options except the LED light turned on. I can't believe this is totally free without ads. Suggestion to the dev: Offer ads, but make it another option that must be turned on. Downloading the ads would waste more battery, you'd make a little bit of change, and leaving it off by default would leave nobody mad at you.

Works as advertised, with a caveat. This app quickly drained my battery from >75% to 0 in 35 minutes. The caveat: it doesn't go through and turn on every single setting that may drain your battery. (from the dev's pov, that'd be almost impossible since there are so many skins with similar names/functions, they'd never be able to include them all.) I went to pull-down notifications and turned every single setting that could possibly drain battery and it worked great! Awesome! Thanks.

Does what it says. Discharged my Galaxy s6 as fast as the fast charger is able to charge it! Be sure to set the stop threshold tho, it will make your phone unusably laggy and you may not be able to turn it off without attempting to reboot or waiting for it to die.. Would be nice to have an option to limit the resource usage to leave a bit of room for the system to breath so the phone doesn't become completely unresponsive.

Flash+CPU+GPS all seem to work, but the GPU load seems completely broken? At least CPU-z does not detect any GPU load when GPU load is enabled :/ it could be a CPU-z bug, but I have no easy way of checking, but my gut feeling is that the GPU load feature is broken (at least on my device, Android 11, Ulefone Armor 13)

yes, thank you! exactly what I needed. no ads, which is a plus. great for getting a full drain out of your device if you need to. on my Pixel 4 I noticed the battery will not die, only goes down to 1% which is slightly annoying. this app for sure kills it!!

Really nice! But seems silly that it stops the process when a battery temperature is reached rather than back off on battery drain processes to avoid going over that temperature. It's not very functional as a drain tool if it just stops on it's own.

Successfully fulfilled what was promised which is draining my battery fast. All functions are working perfectly. Also it's free and free of ads. Advices for future updates: Estimated remaining time to 0% battery level - Estimated (or exact) CPU/GPU temperatures - Removing Fahrenheit option completely lol

This simply does what it says on the tin. Great work devs. Worked a charm. Don't generally leave feedback scores, certainly not a written response, but if you need a battery drainer to reset you battery, look no further. Thanks.

Did what it said it would do, very useful for testing things. All these reviews of the app crashing/slowing the phone, you can't run smartphones at 100% load for long, they're not built to cool themselves. You brought this upon yourself, don't blame the hammer for your sore thumb.

It would be useful to add auto start feature (to keep phone warm at certain temperature, or to prevent phone from overcharging (its not good for battery to stay at 100%) so this app could kick in when charged at set %, when phone slowly charges). Overall nice app.

Works great, just have to make sure to disable android battery optimization for the app and leave the app open when you shut the screen off. Works well for calibrating your battery.

Why I needed this you may ask? Well for some reason my phone was acting up. I've tried every solution from turning it off and on to clearing defaults etc. But then I thought, why not let the batteries drain and start from scratch? So here we are. Let's see if I get the solution I want :)

I used this app just before having the battery calibrated, and it works pretty well on my device. Just hope there's an option for its users to choose when to stop the draining.

This drains my battery really well. I went from 23% to 8% in about 6 mins. I do this so that it only charges after being drained fully, from what I understand, this helps to preserve battery life. Really well done app, thanks to the dev!

I have replaced the battery and logic board of an S7 Galaxy, which is very old. I need to recondition the capacity of this new 66.5k mAh battery "Deep Stretch". This software has helped me safely drain the capacity and recharge fully, to condition the battery. Thank you bro, bra! ♥!

12 minutes and only got rid of 3% of my battery. Horrible. Now some random app knows where I live while the app is trash. It's practically normal speed, what's the point.

Sty. Nov 12, 2020

Please don't let the battery drainer turn off at 0% reported battery charge. My phone lies and still has some charge left at 0% reported, like 15% battery charge left. The app stops draining the battery too soon because of this.

Lou. E. Dec 16, 2020

It does what it's supposed to. It drains the battery. Just using the CPU calculaton is sufficient. Just what I needed so I can see if the phone charging is fixed now.

Vis. A. Jan 24, 2022

It drains battery. Exactly what it is meant to do and it is the best battery drainer out there.

Jos. H. Jan 20, 2021

It does drain the phone good, I use it to test my battery. I wonder if this would drain at the same pace of different phones? I'm trying to compare my galaxy s7 battery drain to my wife's galaxy s8. Then compare both of those to my dinosaur s5 active. :)

Does the job right and fast, battery overheating can be a problem but that's expected if you are drawing it so fast hand has settings to turn off the drainer if it gets too hot

roh. r. Mar 10, 2020

Battery drainer and even increase performance by overclock your cpu and gpu using cpu, gpu option in menu. Never used above 40 degree using cpu and gpu option , otherwise it can damage or overclock System on chip , which in turn make my phone lag or hang due to overheating. Use it on your own . If you broke your phone , its your own responsibility.

It's good I am testing how long my phone will last but my phone usually lasts around 18 hours or 6 hours of straight usage so it has a good battery it's been running for around 18 minutes and it chiped away 19%

I love it! I keep my phone around 10% and tell work the battery is damaged. They can never get ahold of me. I just keep my phone drained. They do not pay for my phone nor service. They do not get to use it.
