Gentle Alarm Clock - Delicate wake up - Calm music

Totally unreliable!! Initially I liked this app. It did exactly what I wanted. You can have multiple alarms, scheduled by the day, non-annoying sounds and vibrating options. But in the last few months it has gotten really unreliable. Alarms will just not go off even though the same alarm worked fine the day before. Or they will go off but won't play any noise or vibrate. While all the stuff I like about the alarm is great, the number one thing I need is for it to be reliable. And this isn't doing it. I'm looking for a new app.

I used this alarm app for the first time this morning - it's great! I bought a new mobile phone last week (Samsung J6) and it didn't matter what I did to the volume it was far too loud and shrill. This app has a good, though small, range of gentle, mellow tunes which turn waking up into less of a shock. The volume is quiet (though you can set it to get gradually louder). It's very easy to set up and you can set different times for different days of the week. There are adverts but they're easy to ignore and a small price to pay.

My only issues is the snooze interval is not 5 minutes. Sometimes it's 6 or 7 or 4 and yes 5, but not consistent. The increased volume is also iffy. I'm a light sleeper so I hear it fine but on occasions where I've been sick or something I have missed it until the music finally penetrates and it's very low. Needs a sensitivity setting for the snooze buttons too (or is that phone issue?). It needs work but I still like it! Easy, no fancy bells and whistles. An ⏰, which is all I wanted!

Love the app, it manages to wake me and not my partner. I've become accustomed to waking up to light melodies which is great and not invasive to my morning! The only invasive part of this app would be the ads. It's not so bad having a little banner on your alarm clock, I only accidentally clicked it one or two times out of thousands of uses. The video ads are quite annoying. Granted they are skippable but the problem arises with it playing audio at the late hours of the night.

Used it for several days now. Alarm has gone off gently with a slowly ascending volume as promised. It is performing better for me to wake up to than the phone's built in alarm which is a bit harsh. (Yes, I have tried different volumes and alarm tunes.) I would have given it 5 stars except that the apps design, colour options and background photos are rather boring!

I've used this for quite a while and it's much better than the standard android alarm that used to wake me with a shock as the volume wouldn't go low enough. It does however occasionally go off 8 minutes late. I thought it was my blurry eyes the first time confusing a 0 for an 8 but it continues to happen.

I loved this alarm clock, have used it for years. But it started glitching on my Galaxy S10. The phone's regular alarm would sound for a very brief instance, then this alarm would start (meaning I get a loud note before the gentle alarm). So I reinstalled this app, and it fixed the problem, but now the alarm won't make any sound. It says it's running, but it doesn't do anything unless you click the notification that says the alarm is active. Update: it works now but not with DND on, which I need

this app has some really really wonderful tones. the ui is easy, and the sound progression is very gentle, about 2 minutes. i hope the dev adds to the tones >because< they are so good. i find some music alarms to be jarring, and harsh. the ones chosen are quite soft and gentle, with soothing melodies. i hope he knows the strughle is real, and his app is top notch. thankyou dev!

While I appreciate the ability to choose alarm sounds/music from my own phone, the fact that I cannot control the volume is extremely annoying. I can only reduce the volume to a certain level, which is louder than what I need, since I sleep with another person who is still trying to sleep.

Works great, the gradual increase in volume is so much nicer to wake up than a loud 'bling' right off the bat. The alarm choices are nice it would be nice to have more but they are good. Weird, this app suddenly stopped working (did Android update break it?)

Worked just fine when I set it up and tested it. But then after I switched to a different song on the list, the alarm no longer increased slowly in volume, AND it played a loud tune that wasn't even one of the peaceful options.

Would be nice to be able to add tunes. Love the gradual sound increase . Samsung/Google used to have this option but they got rid of it when they upgraded their software. Bad idea.

Easy to use, soothing music and graphics to start the day. More choices of music would enhance it. Ads not too annoying. Nice feature of increasing volume if you don't respond by snoozing or canceling alarm.

Really like the app's ease of use and functionality. The advertisements are terrible however. Really would like a paid version to get rid of the ads that constantly pop up.

I love this app! I needed an app that would only wake me up and not the rest of the family... you can set many alarms with the option of sound or vibrate only and works while on airplane mode so I can sleep... and Free! Thank you so much for creating this app!

Mostly very good. Major flaw: if you sleep through it, it doesn't repeat. Wish it had a few more options (pay to remove ads, and use my own music for alarms).

the sounds provided are excelkent. and when the alarm does go off, it is effective. however, i have had the same 2 alarms set for about a month and they havent gone off the entire time.

I set up an alarm for 5:35 am & loved the gentle tones... problem is, I can't get the alarm to stop going off each week even though I deleted the actual alarm setting. I actually uninstalled the app completely & it still goes off at 5:35 am once a week. This is a serious problem. BEWARE, there has to be something in the "agreement" when you download the app that allows it to stay on your phone even after being deleted.

Simple, reliable. My "every morning wake-up". My only suggestion/request would be the ability to add music from my files as an alarm, but not "deal breaker".

An alarm app that randomly BLASTS video ads at you. People use this app early in the morning and late at night, but yea, let's add loud ads to it that play unexpectedly. Makes sense! Not. Uninstalling immediately.

Works as advertised. Could be better. I still havent gotten sick of the tone I chose and the gradual sound increase is awesome. Could have more tones and being able to name the alarms would be nice.

Love the app. But is there any way of adding your own mp3s to wake you up. I found the folder and put songs in - but it doesn't show on the app. Cheers

Great app, I use it daily. The music starts out very soft, and becomes quite loud if you don't turn it off after a minute or two. My only complaint is that I wish there was an option to use my own songs.

just the gentle nudge I need to wake easily. The sound choices are good and the backgrounds are beautiful and the interface is simple, elegant, and effective.

Reliable alarm, very easy to set, pretty scenery, and easy to use. Would like to see more music selections, and ability to label alarms.

Much more pleasant than a normal alarm. A gentle sound gradually increasing in volume is a much less traumatic way to be woken. The app is simple and effective and good.

Before this app, even if someone would come and play tambola under my ear, I would just get up and smash the tambbola and go back to sleep but now .....thanks to this app,I can finally get up early in the morning for my prayers...it wakes me up so gently as if a light feather is slightly tingling my ear and a cool breeze is blowing up on my face to wake me up... Trust me I am not exaggerating! It's a first of its kind of app!!! Please go for it!!!

I like it but it does not play the time I select. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it and it still.plays a random tune. Still gentler than an alarm clock ring.
