GeoBee Challenge
This is a challenging game, so it's not for beginners...but do keep in mind that the National Geographic Bee is meant for kids in grades 4-8. Are you smarter than a 4th grader?
Three types of game play make sure you really know your stuff and never get bored.
In the multiple-choice round, answers come from a library of more than 1,000 National Geographic Bee questions. In the map challenge round, you zoom, pinch and tap your way to find spots on an interactive map from a catalog of 1,000+ locations. For an added challenge, bonus rounds include compelling National Geographic photographs where you have to locate what's in the photo on the interactive map...only we don't tell you where the photo was taken or what is in the picture!
The faster you answer, the more points you get! You have to keep up the pace to move on to the next round.

I'm sure it's a good game, but it crashes every time I try to play it on my Nook HD+, so I've never actually played it. I'm also upset because I tried to get a refund and they never contacted me back.
I was excited about this game but became quickly disappointed. 1) Crashes often (Galaxy S5), 2) Frequent repeat questions, 3) Easy to cheat, 4) Poor map precision, 5) Some misspellings & wrong answers. I discovered the cheat accidentally. If you click anywhere but "Next" after a question, you can answer the question again & get more points for it. Maybe forgivable for a free app, not for a paid app. Poor representation of the NGS.
In the first round of the game i keep getting the same questions over and over, so please put more and i will rate five stars.
This game is perfect for studying for the geobee, but it keeps crashing. Otherwise, I would rate this game 5 stars.
Very good app. I love it, it effectively helps me study for the Geobee in my school. Only problem is with freezing and crashing. It happens at random times and moments... A real annoyance and irritation. That's all, but overall good ;-)
It is good to learn, but you can easily gain points by getting the right answer but not clicking next and reanswering. They should also add more features to it
When I pause. The game, especially if I interact with another app before un-pausing, I cannot go back to the game in progress. It freeze so I have to start a new game.
I love the app but it a lot of the time it turns of on me. Just know I was on round 10 and it turned off. It's happening more often and I'm getting really annoyed. Besides this it's very helpful and fun.
App stops working every time, we paid for it it needs to work!
Overall it is a good game... until you find wrong answers. I got the question Where is the historic town of Williamsburg. Since I had been to Williamsburg I answered VIRGINIA which was right. Then it told me the answer was INDANIA!!!
Helped me prepare for the California state geographic bee but I found a major glitch that let's you answer a question as many times as you want and get as many points as you want making the game pointless.
It keeps crashing on my phone and my son is getting frustrated and losing interest in using the app. I am disappointed that I cannot get my money back now even though it is only 2 dollars.
Good but always when I start playing, it goes to some spot in the North Pole. Also, always repeats questions.
Will not run on nook HD+. Had to get refund.
I have a nice phone that never has failed me. But now that's history. I love this app, but it's hard to keep it up without crashing.
I used to play this quiz on natgeo website, but they took it down recently.Nice app but can be made better
Sometimes it crashses during the map round but other than that it is realy helping me study for the WA state round.
The game crashes but is good. My high score is 330,000 because of a glitch

the first game i played went all 15 rounds. now every game only goes 5 rounds. anyone else have this problem?
this is a bad app it says that its downloaded and is compatible with my device it wont let me play even after they charged me cheaters

When it works it is great....locks up & locks up my phone after using it a short time. Glad only paid $1.99 for it.
Like it but the map round is to sensitive and gives no margin for error.
Very little to criticize on this well presented and very informative quiz, which - unless your knowledge of world geography is extensive - you should at least find remotely challenging at some level. Combining an interactive map with questions that are designed to educate and inform, this is the usual standard you would expect from a world-renowned source of knowledge. I have great expectations for more of the same from NGS and would probably have given 5*'s were there more NG apps to download!
