Looks awesome but it crashes every time I try to open it. I have installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled it twice to no avail. I've had no problem with one of your other apps (handbook of rocks).
Really good for helping to identify minerals under transmitted light microscopy. Not much else though. Would like to see updates to the app and a reflected light microscopy section. App has a lot of potential but looks like it isn't being realised.
Wasnt sure what to expect. I have a few rocks that have one of 3 minerals and I cant discern which one it is. This app sounded great, it might help me, but it just gives you an idea of what could be found in earth's layers...no help to me at all. Am I sitting on a 2500 gem or a precious metal? Still have no idea.
For not knowing what the heck most of (if any) the terms even refer to, very informative and educational. I grew up on a property in northern ca foothills and have always loved picking up different shaped and colored rocks. Wish I could send a pic of my rock and say, what is this!? Lol.
It is a very good app. I am not sure if I can still access the contents once offline, but it would be great if it is possible. I took one star off because there is no "favorite" list that would allow me to look at my favourite rocks.
Too many 'features' are premium. Can find QAPF diagrams on internet, will do so. I appreciate that you've said that you've spent much time on the app. However you'd get a lot more love and probably premium users if you made available a few advanced functions.
the app has little to no use at all. its only a compilation of general definitions and very few data about minerals the pro version doesnt worth the price either. If u want to learn about geology read a book.
IT Must be have an Stone/Rocks Scanner or someting like rock photo scanner to make it fast what kind of a rock we have discover it takes an hour to find what type of a rock is, because i am not expert of this geology and many people did not expert too at this century it must be high-tech should have a rock scanner to know what rock we have because too a lot of a rocks and hard to find what exact type of the rock is... I recommended that update this Geology Toolkit lite APP. Please ✌️
its very helpfull particularly in dealing with optical mineralogy. it is also very helpfull in geological field as it will provide important information for rock identification. the various tool of this software provide comfort in studying geology. gps tool it have is also very helpfull in geological field. similarly it contain other utilities such as periodic table,geological time scale etc which are quite important for geology students. overall the application is very helpfull and cover diff
I'm not a geologist but I love it just for looking at the crystals and Stones. High resolution photography allows you to capture the frequency of the stone through the pictures.
Usefully app if you just want to casually look at rocks or have a comprehensive field tool in your pocket Well done
I was hoping to be able to simply take pictures of some specimen i found and have the app help me to identify what im looking at by the photo i took.

Allow some one to actually use & explore the app before asking them to rate it because i literally have no idea yet! It asks to rate after about 2 sec
Great app - very useful for a beginner like me or a qualified geologist/minerologist wanting a quick check or ID of a rock or mineral.

Free is not a free app as advertized. Ask for paymant after I go through the instuctions of looking for the people I'm looking for.
The app is amazing, after the recent update they fixed many issues and gave more utilities to use.

Missing a capture function which would enable e direct confrontation between picture and rock description
Change coding to allow program to install in SD external storage. My internal storage is full, I may have to uninstall. I would pay for pro version if i could change storage! PS: Is this app also available on my iPhone? What is it called? I had it on my 10" Android tablet, but will have iPhone7 in field, hence that is where it would be most useful. I want to pay for Premium and be able to use it across platforms. Sorry to be so ignorant. I want to take advantage of all the great features!
