After using a lot of different geocaching apps, this one is my go to app. With the ability to see lonely caches, county borders, the ability to use off line maps, and an integrated WheriGo player, this app should be the standard. Granted, it is setup different from the other apps but after some time it is very useful.
Is the most versatile Android geocaching App. I got this app for the stable Wherigo player. But have found it to be great to use for everything possible. I think it is the only private API app on Android. The developer is quick to help and is keeping Geooh Go frequently updated. The TB scanner works great. The features are too numerous to list here. If you geocache and have an android phone this app is for you!
Had a issue when first downloaded. Was disappointed and left a low review. Was contacted quickly and explained what the situation was. Other than the original issue I had. app has plenty options for cachers. Looking forward to seeing what all the app can do.
Currently using Geooh in parallel with another app. It's really an awesome an versatile tool. Might transition over to geooh altogether. Edit: Still using several apps on parallel but geooh's share got bigger.
Got the app just for the county boundaries overlay. Only 99 cents every six months. So worth it!
Been trying to use this app for years. Has a ton of add ons but slow and half the time I get the error "Cannot connect to Ground speak servers"
The best geocaching app at the moment. Packed with features, well worth spending time figuring out all of them
This is arguably the best Geocaching app available for Android at the time of writing. 4 stars instead of five because the feature richness seems aimed at power users but the import of GSAK databases is not supported. Everything else works like a charm. Functional design, good in-app guidance and documentation, fast and responsive. The Wherigo player deserves special mentioning. Overall, a great app. Would be perfect with GSAK support.
This is the best Geocaching app for Android, by far. The author is very responsive on social media and email.
Excellent app and the developer is very helpful. Regularly updated and new features added.
Been using for about 2 months now, I must say this is far better than the main Geocache app!! Looking forward to see more updates Gets better each update 👍🏿👍🏿
This geocaching app is excellent. It is really fast. The app developer is very responsive. The app has so many features. It takes a little time to explore them all. There is a whereigo player built in. The use of list is awesome. For example I was looking for all the events near me and with one click the popped up. I was able to see the date and time of the event without even opening the cache page. If you ever have a question or issue with the app join the Facebook group and ask a question.
I've tried out pretty much all the geocaching apps out there, and this is the only one I prefer over the official app. It has a ton of features, and is super customizable. Plus, it has a nice modern ui, unlike its main competitor c:geo. My only real complaint is that it took me a while to figure out how to import a trail map. This map type really should be built in (or the process should at least be streamlined), as it's super useful for non-urban geocaching.
I love it. Every time I think of a feature I would like to have, it is already there!
I just got this app an started playing with it to learn its features. I think I will really like it for geocaching
Great app. Very easy to use and lots of great features.
So after a while I finally to decided to review this. As a fairly moderate geocacher I decided to check this mainly due to ability to send a cache to my watch (wear os3). After initial teething issues and a great support from developer via their facebook page I managed to finally get it all working. And I shall never look back. There are so many features that this just keep giving! Every time I have an idea and see whether I can get something done via the app the ability its already there!
Have been slowly transitioning from c:geo to Geooh GO, and the more I use it and get used to it, the more I like it. With each update, the app seems to get more responsive. The only thing I wish is there were some YouTube videos that were available as tutorials. For me, it's a much easier way to learn an app, rather than digging through forums. Thanks for all your hard work on the app!
tl;dr: This is the best geocaching app on Android for smart geocachers with premium accounts. Geooh removes the frustrations other apps introduce. It replaces them with tools that make sense and a layout that makes it easy. — I'm not sure how I managed not to review Geooh Go before now. I guess, since I appraised the old app, I just never went back into that mode when I switched to the new one. Geooh Go is the app to use for premium member geocaching with an Android phone. Bar none. You may initially need some time to reorient to how Geooh presents information, but as soon as you get it, it's more effective a layout than any other app. The way things are grouped and organized makes sense. In addition to the superior organization is the fantastic feature set. There are so many tools included in this app you'll be able to remove a bunch of other side caching apps from your device. Geooh Go includes - A Wherigo Player - A Geo Tour Listing - A TB Scanner - A TB Logger - Many Stellar List Management Options - Routing to Planned Geocaches - Answer Sheets for Earthcache and Virtual Answers - Waypoint Averaging For Better Cache Placement - Custom Maps and Map Overlays - Dark Mode Option - Even More With Geooh Enhanced I'm Don't Call Me Sir, and this is my Android Geocaching App of Choice.
So far so good. I am a huge fan of the official app and on occasion used C:geo. But with both apps i struggle to download Whereigo cartridges. I found this app that stated that you can play the cartridges. I took a chance and paid my money just for the whereigo feature. I wasn't dissapointed. Within minutes i had the cartridge downloaded. It was quick, simple and easy to do. I can see myself using this along side the offcial app alot more.
Love it because the author is so involved with all request it make improvements. As far as caching, it gives you everything you need in one app. Lots of bells and whistles if you choose to use them.
Had to chime in to reiterate that Geooh GO started off fantastic and keeps getting better and better! The regular updates keep it relevant and the features...well, this app has everything you need and more. Geooh GO has been my go-to app for several years now for geocaching and I highly recommend it!
This doesn't seem to freeze up as much as the official geocaching app. I love the compass overlay and the fact that you can add text to the prepopulated logs. It also has a built in challenge checker and does wherigos. Nice app!
My favorite geocaching ap (and I have tried all of the Android ones)!! I think the county boundaries and shading are the best part! Support is awesome and the Facebook page for it is a great place for getting help and tips. I recommend this ap every chance I get.
Very different to the official app, which means it takes a while to get used to it, but it has a wealth of very useful features. For me, the ability to see the stages of multiple Adventure Labs on the same map as conventional geocaches is probably the best. I've tried C:Geo before, but uninstall it, but Geooh GO is staying.
