Last updated a year and a half ago, GP is ignoring that this app is broken. While it can, in the end, do what it is supposed to, it has glitches and poor, not well thought interface design. It is easier, even on my phone, to just go thru the browser, though the web access also has it's problems...
Poor made. For those who uses password manager app it's impossible sign in. The app doesn't allow use auto fill from your stored passwords and doesn't allow you to copy/past either. This days is almost impossible have different secure passwords for each site and Georgia power developer team are no aware of this. Maybe they preferer all users have weak passwords because thats the only way to sign in easily. Wake up. We need a better compatibility with lastpass, one password, dashlane and so on.
Absolutely useless. But on par with their website which is equally useless. We have an outage going on now and I imagine the traffic has overwhelmed both. So not great planning for peak loads on their part ( he says charitably). The app will continue to tell you you need to log in regardless of whether you've logged in or not. Disappointed.
I downloaded for the purpose to pay my bills, but every time I want to open the app it crashes even on a strong secure WiFi or Data nerwork. Had to uninstall. Please fix the issues. It would be advised to consistently check and review the performance of your app. Can't believe the last update was back in 2017. Smh.
Ive been using the app for almost 3 yrs now and its been great up until recently where i cant seem to log in. I try to open the app and all i get is a black screen. I also try to go to the website and when i hit the pay online option it doesn't go anywhere! It shows an error sign and claims i am not connected to the internet. I can log into any other app or page with no problem. FIX THIS NOW!
Awful app. Its severely outdated. You have to log in every single time The interface is not stream lined, it's a web based application spo you might as well just go to Georgia powers website and add page to homescreen. At least the website saves your log in information. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!
Probably the most cumbersome "app" I've ever used. No option for quick login (like thumbprint). "Remember Me" option doesn't work. Blank screen post login. Very few links actually load. It's not just the app. The website is horrible as well. C'mon GA Power. Get yourself together. This is just embarrassing....
The app is accurate. Had a few times where it wouldn't load after putting in my login info. I was thinking the app was going through maintenance at that time overall very dependable and conveinient. Especially if you have a pre paid account!
The app is a bit rough. For instance, the "Log In" button is still visible *after* you've logged in. Other power companies report how much energy is generated using renewables, this feature isn't available from Southern Company.
The app window cuts-off the CS responces in chats. They don't allow corrections or changes to wrong/outdated email accounts or user names. To add to confusion, on entering a new account they won't delete the old account. A billion dollar company maintaining a very poor app resulting in poor customer service.
Unresponsive, more often than not the HTTP calls aren't even successful. At this point, the app just takes up space on my phone. Just use a desktop web browser.
12-01-2019: The app use to be a good tool for reviewing daily usages and seeing bill estimate. It was very user friendly. Now after the November 2019 change, it's worthless in that area as it only shows a total of the previous month. --------- 12-11-2019: Still just a summary for the last billed amount. No current power usuage nor daily usuage.
Overall, this app is nice to have and makes it convenient to view my bill, usage, and other info as well as making payments. However, the login process is very cumbersome and makes it a very frustrating process to just log in. If this issue were fixed this app would be 5stars from me.
App has sucked the last few months.... they want me to pay my bill every month but the app doesn't want to work properly! If I try to sing in from my computer to pay it say that I am signed in on a different device which I'm not.
The app doesn't work. You can't see your actual bill. I have to sign in on a laptop to see actual bill. Every time I put in the password on the app it asks to validate email. It's crazy. Don't like the app.
This app is so slow. By far the worst app I've ever used. It constantly takes forever to load after doing the I am not a robot thing. It reads "please wait..." forever. Then it finally asks to do the I am not a robot thing again. This repeats and repeats.
Downloaded the app and all I see is a blank black screen and at the bottom "tap here to fill entire screen" message. Now the app just won't open. I've uninstalled twice already and cleared the cache
I couldn't even get past the initial Georgia Power logo for 10 tries. Finally loaded the awful login page which was very unresponsive. I was hoping to use a native app instead of the slow website.
I like the app...1 star is to get noticed for this comment. Since the last update the app does not "Remember Me" any longer and I have to type in my username every time. Even if you click on the box "Remember Me", it clears the box every time I open the app. Please fix it!
I get the landing screen, login, then blank white screen. When I use the Menu to login & select any of the options, it loads and loads and loads........ No, I'm not sending you more info - this is all of it. Fix your app.
First time used app was able to view DAILY USAGE over the past month. Then viewed monthly usage and have not been able to get back to daily usage since. Very frustrating...this should be easy. This is THE reason I downloaded the App...I need daily usage to assess EV charging costs.
The app is horrible. I can never sign in, even though the password is correct. I can only check my bill if I login through the email I got. Disappointed.
This is a horrible app i downloaded it with intention to pay bill and it wouldnt even load properly and i was never able to even see a log in screen. Fix the app. It makes your company look cheap and bad. 😒
BS app I was just recently asked from a Georgia Power Employee to download the app so I decided to give it a chance. App wouldn't let me log in, then it gives me a blank screen... Don't download its just a waist of space on your phone. The website is better.
This is just as bad (if not worse) than trying to deal with the website. You're required to remember/enter your account number every time you want to pay a bill which is done through a completely different system than your login with GA Power so you have to either memorize it or think to copy/paste between screens. Also, if you want to actually pay your bill, make sure to remember how much you owe, because the payment portal will always say that it's $0. Definitely needs UX testing.
