German American Mobile Banking

Very poor camera function for check deposit. No light makes it almost impossible to deposit sometimes. Plus it is very finicky. I've had to give up and deposit to another bank before. Their app is flawless for checks deposit in low or normal light. Also do not appreciate it does not list check deposit as pending. Just make a deposit and hope it shows up in a few days. Poor poor design and function for this part of the app.

Unfortunately I have to confirm my identity every time I want to use the app, the only choice I get is a phone call, the call either hangs up before I'm able to answer, or it will not log the number in to confirm, if I try too many times, I get locked out of my acct, which I've already had to call once to get unlocked.. not worth it

I really do like this app, however, the camera set up for mobile check deposit is absolute junk. I usually have to take around 20 photos of the front and 20 of the back to get a decent picture to deposit with. I do appreciate the convenience of not having to run to the bank, but it's a very frustrating process. I would love to see updates to correct this in the future.

App worked great for depositing checks. Until a few months back when something changed. Now checks are all dark around edges and it cant see the account numbers, the signature, etc. Horrible. Fix the app to the way it used to be. 2020 now, and this app has more crashes than a Nascar race. Update: 11/5/2021 still a useless app for depositing checks. Garbage

This is a great app that saves me so much time from having to make trips and calls to the bank. I deposit checks and tranfer funds from one account often and easily. Not to mention being able to pay bills on demand.

Works fairly well. If I don't use app for several days , it won't accept my fingerprint so I have to put in password. It won't automatically use it next time wither. I have to turn off fingerprint in settings and then turn it back on.

The app is easy to navigate and use EXCEPT the mobile deposit. No matter how many different ways, backgrounds or types of lighting I use, it is never clear enough to make the deposit. Since Mainsource sold out to German American, now the closest branch is over half an hour from me...but I still think it would be quicker to drive there and make the deposit than to use the mobile deposit. Though I really like German American, we will probably have to change banks just because of this problem.

For the most part, great. Just trying to take a dang picture of the back of a check to deposit, SHEESH! Found out, it works better leaning it against something vs laying down on flat surface. And I did have contrasting background, my black laptop

I the app is adequately functional for me, with one exception: i can't make deposits to any accounts other than my personal checking account. What gives? Very frustrating. I had to drive to the bank to deposit a check into savings.

Transfers don't show up anytime soon. Sometimes for days. Imagine you need to make a purchase and need to transfer funds from one account to another. Better plan ahead. Garbage app to go along with a garbage bank.

Does not update passwords efficiently. Just changed, rather re-instated my password, got one transaction half way complete, page blinked off, would not take my password I had just registered! Why have a program that cannot be used?

App continually closes itself. Several times a week I am unable to access my account information. Constantly have to reenter my username and password after having already saved them AND my fingerprint every single time I open the app.

I have a horrible time doing the check deposit. Right after taking a picture on the front side, I get logged out. There are times it takes at least six times, even deleted app and redownloaded.

using the bill pay, you want to select other amount and it does not pop up the option to enter your own amount. frustrating situation because what I have to do is send two payments.

I recently switched banks for many reasons. After switohing I also found that the app is significantly better. Ease of use and access are extremely important and this app delivers.

Worst bank ever. Can't make a deposit through atm. Get with the times. This isn't 1942. Tried to close account and they wouldn't do it without me coming into the bank which I cannot do. They had no problem opening the account online. Because of this I am now in collections. I will be disputing and am prepared to sue.

Terrible app. It takes days for the app to show the correct usable amount of money in your account. Unacceptable especially when you bought out my bank and the other app was great.

Love the app very use your friendly but really hard to deposit checks. If it's acceptable, It's 1:30 on a Saturday and my check won't clear until 12:00 Tuesday!? :-/ hope those bugs get worked out soon! lol

Does not show real time pending & posted transactions. It seems the app is only updated every 24 hours. Disappointing as I am new to this bank.

Since I started using the app it is so much easier to control my banking see what's posted very easy to control checking it's a great app I can't wait for more things to come online that it can do such as utility bills and other things that come out on a monthly basis

I like that it senses when you are steady, then counts down 3 2 1 and takes the picture without me having to tap the screen

Fantastic job! I have no complaints. It's easy, secure and have a problem, just call them. Easy to get ahold of and always friendly and helpful. Thank you to all !

Good easy to use app, but won't be 5 stars until I can manage my credit card balance and payments from the app and not a separate website. 12/19/2021‐ personal credit card still not manageable from main accounts page in app.

I used to get paid a day early and they used to Auto take out what I spent to tell me what I was left with even if they were pending so I didn't go over budget

It works, but notifications are always 24hrs behind. Funds show as available when they are not. Very frustrating.

Would be great if I didn't have to spend 10 minutes to get a deposit done by phone. Says needs endorsement yet its clearly visible in the scan. Apps even more horrible on iPhones.

Had a little period there when I couldn't use the app..but I love it.. no more trips to the bank.. German American have been a great asset to life.. Looking forward to many more years business!

Love being able to deposit my checks from home. It works great, and have had virtually no issues with using it. I've been using it for several months now.
