German Article Buster

Very good app and surprisingly good technique to memorize! Great! However would be nice if I am able to select smaller chunk of words at a time to work with. Also when I pick a wrong article on rehearsal, it moves on to the next word and doesn't stay on this word until I get it right.

When I used the section 'tutorial', I found it is interesting and could relate the pictures to the three categories and I really liked it. But, in the 'learn article' section, though the english meaning provided, it is bit difficult to relate the object as there is no picture of the noun provided. It would have been a fantastic app if the respective pictures could have been incorporated for every nouns.

Hmmm, good, but not enough ... The premade cards were perfect. I made fantastic connections and remembered a lot of the articles. For someone who is dyslexic, this is a fantastic product but if sometimes words mean different things and the pictures you provide clarified those things for me. Having to come up with my own visualizations causes problems. Come up with more premade cards and I will be using it every hour and touting it all my friends. The cards made what I struggled with so easy.

I tried the method with 20 words. I tested afterward and remembered them all. Tried another 20, remembered them all. I had known that creating pictures to assist recall was an important method, but this app puts that into practice in a very congenial way. This light-bulb-going-off experience moved me from "sounds like a good idea" to having fun putting the method nto practice. Also, the bonus mnemonic songs are extremely süß and effective. Thank you!

the only thing which I would have preferred more is intermediate tests of multiple words " Learn the articles" instead of continuous 1700 words. we should have option to revise the words at definite intervals lile in tutorial rather than just going continuously of 1700 words with the only option to reset the whole progress.

Intuitive, beautifully designed. I only wish it showed the correct answer when I make a mistake. Also if there was an option to quiz/test yourself only that would be great. Overall a wonderful app.

Every thing is perfect and the method is awesome for learning the article. But, I would really appreciate if all those 1700 words will be bifurcated so I could learn what's only needed. There are lot of words which I don't use in daily life and I will forget them. Please bring an update if possible, it's really important!

This is a great start. It would be great to have translations with the words as I haven't learnt some of them yet. Also I assume you'll eventually illustrate all words, having to imagine it by yourself doesn't help much.

It's a great little app that works with scientific, proven memory technique. I saw that some reviews complain there's no translation, you just have to click on the word to see the translation

Excellent app! This is an absolutely super way to learn the genders of German words. When my kids had their German test at school, their teacher told them no need to write der,die or das in front of the words. As he knew they couldn't remember them. But my kids got it easy using this technique !! Thanks SmarterGerman

Gosh, I hate apps without real human pronunciations. The most important thing in learning a language is by listening. Any app that doesn't have human pronunciation doesn't understand how human brain works. ALL, ALL words are pronounced weird!!! People informed you multiple times the problem with machine pronunciation, yet you insist you have no problem. LOL. You need to be more humble! So that you could improve! People who aren't humble, are never going to improve themselves!

Michael has introduced in my opinion the most innovative technique of memorising articles of the German language through this app. It is a testament to his 20+ years in the field of teaching German. I highly suggest anyone who enjoyed this app to enroll in his full course, If something free that he provided gave you this much value, imagine how much more value you'll be getting from his paid resources.

The technique is good and very useful, however the list of words is a bit different from what I expected. It's a mix up of common words and some that you will never use.

Lovely, humorous illustrations are a great help to those who learn best by visualizing! I just started playing with this app, and am really enjoying it so far...

Quick English translations and pronunciation with funny characters to remember das die & der is absolutely creative and easy to remember. Thank you for creating such an easy platform to learn article:)

I like the app. The single annoing thing is a constant advertising of smartergerman. I already bought smartergerman courses so I shouldn't be bothered by this tiresome advertizing campaing 🤷

It is a good app, except for two things I noticed, it asks me to rate the app in the play store even though I have already done that. The second thing is the lack of dark mode.

this is the best app ever for memorizing the articles. I am a visual learner and this works great for me. thank you Michael and Maggie for the contribution (app and YouTube )!

Don't learn on the German pronunciation with the provided spoken samples: it uses computer generated pronunciation set for English! The memorization technique is great.

It does its job very well but provides you with zero motivation to keep learning and struggles to actively keep your interest.

As a learning tool, it has a fatal error: it does not show the correct answer when you make a mistake. This reinforces the error.

I love all the creative solutions that Michael has to make learn German an easier task. I keep singing on mentally months after Heit ung Keit ei shaft lol I truly recommend his Smarter german course!

Not possible to use. The screen about some German course pops after every single entry.

Good app for learning those pesky articles, the one thing that could make it better is showing the correct answer after you get it wrong
