German Conversation Practice - Cudu

I'm a memory impaired person. This could have been an excellent app to practice my pronunciation for various languages (I downloaded the apps for German, Korean, and Chinese) but once I click the microphone icon, a huge sub-window covers the sentence that I must recite. When that happens, I have already forgotten the sentence, resulting to various "wrong answers". I hope your apps would still enable me to see the sentence while trying to pronounce it so I can read it as opposed to memorising it.

It is a great app... But in order to record or check pronounciation you should memorize the whole chat... And sometimes you could say synonyms of the world or the phrase and it is still considered wrong. I think there is a way of improvement by not having to memorize the entire chat in order to check and by adding some tips on how to pronounce and add a slower audio for those who cant catch it easily. 😁

I can't speak for every part of the app, but don't trust the automated pronunciation!! It is 100% wrong. I have a masters in German and I was looking for something more advanced but I decided to click through. It's horrendously mispronounced. I gave it two stars because it looks like a well thought out and organized app for beginners... but... how can you learn to speak it when their saying it wrong??

I like the app so far. I really only have two observations...the first is I wondered if there were plans to add more and more conversations at a later date, and the ads that come with the app are a bit much, so is there a paid version coming to remove those or did I miss something? Otherwise, it real good for getting the feel for conversing on a simple level down, yes. Good work.

The app is great for listening and speaking. Good context for the dialogues and exercises. Some of the dialogues could have a more simple construction for beginners. In normal conversation there are some phrase inversions that are quite hard for beginners.

Seemed like a great idea - chatbot to practise German. Sadly had to uninstall straight away as won't work without storage permission and I don't want to give random apps this level of access. Perhaps Google could provide separate storage for developers to use which links to an account you create for the app? (basically an app-specific dropbox but developer-managed and maintained while being provided/hosted by Google).

I want to learn German and that the reason I have downloaded this app. It's easy to understand how to do but there is a problem. When I started my first lesson there was a conversation and after listening I have to repeat the same. But when I tried to use the mic option it's not working. I'm able to hear what they are saying when I'm pressing the speaker 🔊 symbol. I tried pressing the mic symbol for a short second but it's not working. Please fix this so that I can rate it 5 star

I don't like how the word bubbles fade and shift after selecting. Also, the next question button is uncomfortable to click (too high). The voice detection system also isn't very good.

A very good application to practice German. Amazing designed to practice vocabulary, pronunciation and sentences. Really helpful for beginners and intermediates. Thank you

The mic consistently doesn't fully pick up on what I'm saying. So it is consistently saying I'm mispronouncing things when I'm not. The app keeps freezing and glitching

Solid app, with a few tweaks it would be first class. Would be great if u could switch between languages. Instead of download a different app

Too many adv between sentences,I can't even complete one step without an adv interrupted me,the adv should be one or two through one lesson,not so many times,then the point of that is clear,at the end of the lesson another adv suggest that I should pay if I want to get rid of adv,ok I will pay but I didn't even enjoy 4 sentences without many adv among them,that is distracted me.I dislike so many adv in just one lesson.the goal should be educational first then commercial.

The voice for the quick phrases and search does not do the accents correctly and barely even tries; but the collection voices to pronounce the language works. I do not understand why that happened.

The record button doesn't work, the pronounciation of the words in the dictionary is wrong, the tests only have the sentenses from the lesson in it and the app does nothing to help you memorize the words

A very fun and useful app! Learning German with CUDU is enjoyable! One of the best apps to learn a language, but the main problem is that the English translation in not 100% accurate.

Works 50% of the time when it comes to audio. Structure is basic, but the app doesn't make learning interesting.

This is one effective app that helps to practice speaking German effectively for beginners. This app has ads but you can remove it by paying 3 $ apprx. It really helps. Great tool.

Way too many ads. And I haven't found Spanish as a Conversation language... really?!? The third most spoken language in the world and it's not supported. Even Catalan, Basque or Galician, which are languages also spoken in Spain, are supported....but no Spanish? Even Hungarian which happens to be one of the most difficult languages on earth....and not Spanish????

I find that the best practice comes by learning conversational sentences. And that is what this app provides. It's on my top 3 list for best German learning apps

Excellent app. Completely focusses on enabling the user start speaking German the soonest possible by incorporating the most encountered words, sentences, and scenarios in day to day life.

I find it very usefull so thank you very much. But i really hope you will add more conversations to German. There are only 40 courses, not satisfying enough :(

For under £3 to remove the adds, this is one of the best value language apps I've used so far. Very suited for listening comprehension.

This app is actually good! I usually hate language apps, but as I just installed this one and practiced the first conversation, I found it actually useful and educating!

the idea is really good but app is not working properly. first time it worked , second time freezed. samsung s 7

The app is pretty good, but sometimes it doesn't record like what I say. So, it tends to get my correct answer as wrong answer

"Hallo" is very useful app, you have chance to learn and practice. I learn many words and phrases here!

I Love This App!!! It is really helping me Speak German and to be able to practice Pronunciation. I practice Everyday!!!

I am not learning for the first time, so this app makes me really remember and improve on tone and pronunctiation.
