Great way to quickly find a translation and get/hear the proper pronunciation

This is probably one of the best if not the best German dictionary on the Play Store. It excels where Google Translate almost always fails. With this dictionary you can find multiple meanings, pronunciations (which was very helpful being a student learning from scratch and nobody German in my family), and most importantly translations of phrases. I don't even know of another app that is partly a phrase dictionary!

The UI design is infuriating. Even the dictionary is online only, which is unacceptable anymore. And worst of all, it doesn't know all the words, which is the reason for the one star, as a reliable dictionary, it has failed.

Quite comprehensive definitions, my go-to German dictionary, but with some odd omissions in vocabulary.

Good App, but the funny thing is that sometimes it doesn't translate a word but a sentence in which that word is included. Akward.

Internet connection is required to use the app, not only for translations, but even dictionary. Seems good when you're online though, but it did not help me on my travels without a data connection.

Does not search right away. Suggestions are slow. Dictionary is small, doesn't know "berühren"

If you can make the download of this database optional to allow offline use, this dictionary would be the best German dictionary.

It's a good concept, but most of the words I look up aren't there.

Exclusive translators are a hell of alot better than multi translators, but this could still be better

Great dictionary with noun genders

Great app! The latest addition of phase pronunciation is great! I use the app when I forget certain words-the phrases and examples of word usage help out with the sometimes tricky German grammar as well. Not quite 5 stars since you cannot use the app offline, which is a problem when overseas, Verizon doesn't work there or the plans are ridiculously expensive, (Verizon's fault), and data is extremely expensive. Also, I've found more than a few compound words that are not in the app's database. Otherwise, very useful and very good as long as you're connected to data.

What a dictionary is supposed to do, this app does. If you need a free dictionary app, that's the best you can find, as far as i've seen. It's got a broad range of words, and complete translations. No exquisite features, but these you can find only for money. All in all, solid dictionary.
