German English Dictionary

This app is good for quick reference when you don't need to go into much detail. Also, absolutely love the conjugation tables, these are invaluable!! For an offline dictionary this is a gem. Some parts of it need improvement, though. Some verbs lack conjugation tables and I would also like to see more examples provided. Also, the app crashes every time I go back to it after using some other apps.

This is a great app and I especially like it's verb conjugator as it shows a verb with all major tenses clearly. The tenses in German is always confusing for me and I do not know other dictionary providing such a clear table for the verb. Besides, there are also quizzes and flashcards which are perfect for learning especially during the commute. I used to make quizzes and flashcards on paper but I think using an app is much faster and easier.

On the face of it, this is a good app, but the more you use it, the more you discover its limitations. Here are two I found recently: There's no entry for 'bored', which a very common adjective; the conjugation table for pflegen is incorrect or incomplete - it lists the Perfekt as 'gepflogen', but the answer in my German class required 'gepflegt'. It also has lots of noun entries that don't indicate gender, and there's a bug whereby if you reopen the app it closes down immediately.

I've been learning German for several years now, and all the while I've been searching for a good dictionary app to help my learning. I finally found that in the VidaLingua dictionary. It basically has everything I've need all in one place - a full dictionary, a quality translation feature (which easily works both ways), it makes it easy to determine der/die/das (which is critical), It's got verb conjugation break down, flash cards, lists of common phrases listed by situation etc. - I would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn German!

The dictionary is very useful and the hyperlinks help a lot when nabigating it, although the quiz and flashcards are a bit too overwhelming, maybe being able to restrict to liked or marked words would be more friendly to learning users like myself. I'd really like to see that in the future, but otherwise it's pretty solid.

I originally downloaded this app when long lost family in Germany came to visit. It did not disappoint when I used it at times when my own vocabulary was inadequate. Since then I have found it useful when composing emails. Thank you. The only thing that is slightly annoying are the ads, but I get why you have them.

Great App with vast vocabulary, though there are still room for improvement. For instance, gender should be included in all words not some.

I find the app very useful BUT please remove too much advertisement. It distract during my study and class. Too many ads everytime I open the translation section. Waste of time during my class. Thank you

It's a pretty good app. I use it every time, I encounter a german word that I haven't seen before. The ads inserted in between the explanations can make one lose focus. I would've preferred if it was more like its iOS counterpart

Thank you very much. It's a nice app for beginners. It has verb conjugations and also many examples and important phrases. I don't think it needs an improvement for the concept or the interface. It's totally perfect!

I'm rating it after 5 months of usage. It is simple to use and provides clear explanation. If a word has a conjugation, there's an option for it. One improvement: Give an option to choose a number of verbs or words and create flashcards for tests.

having a lot of useful examples and idioms. but umlauts are better be an ption un setting. and if possible increase the number of examples. I tell you as a beginner in Deutsch language it is really useful to contain lots of sentences as the practical usage of words. Just like Oxford, Longman, Webster and Larouse Chambre or Collins bilingual dictionaries. Germany is a highly admired and economically and industrially developed and a leading country in modern world philosophy and science.

This app is very useful generally. Unfortunately I have an issue that whenever I hit back the app crashes, so I have to reopen it each time. The app hasn't been updated in years so I have little hope that it will be fixed

I am using this app for last 2 years. And its wonderful application to improve your verbal skills. You can see the verb formation according to tenses. I found it perfect for beginners.

Super dictionary with conjugation of the verbs given in it makes it all the more useful. I have used this app's another version as well in French- English dictionary app and have found it tremendously helpful. I have given 5stars to my experience and would recommend every new language learner to take this app as an added tool to learn the language.

No plural of the words, which is very important to know in German of course. Sorry, I've uninstalled it even if it had some good features like the offline ability, the quiz, the flashcards.

Language learning apps can only go so far, and this app fills in the gaps. It has a comprehensive list of words to choose from that allows you to better fill your vocabulary. Good job!

I paid for the premium version for an add free experience and had adds right in the middle of every inquiry and translation. Very disappointing. Waste of money.

The searching is a disaster, I have to open and close the app a few times if I want to look for the correct term. It used to be a lot better. Never have I ever seen an app that has such a big flaw like this. I paid for the app but seems the upgraded version doesn't have much of an upgrade for me.

I love this app very much. It is a good resource for one who teaches German oneself. But, I would like to suggest developers to include full sentences for examples. It will be an additional help.

The app shows all possible meanings and it explains them by giving simple examples. This illustration helps to memorize and understand the word much better. The design is nice and practical.

I could not find many words in this dictionary. Even basic word, like "laptop" wasnt there. Even though functionality and idea of the app is good, but its knowledge base is quite poor due to many words are not in the list. Hence I am deleting to install any other app.

I can't really tell you what i think needs improved, because i haven't found it yet. Well worth the ten bucks. Less clunky and now in depth then Google, works well as a reference for learners.

i found this app very useful. when i wants to translate any word or a paragraph i got that. yeah we all can use this app such a relevant app with lots of vocabulary words , not only vocabulary we can find anything we want like phrases quick translation.

There are some verbs in this app which are not provided with the perfect conjugation. Students are unable to find the same. Please try to get some solutions for this problem..Thanks..

I enjoy using the dictionary because it provides a lot of good translations and explanatory notes. A word is given upto 2,3, or more translations for me to choose the perfect meaning of the word I am looking for.

Methods of finding words are a little hard and if possible then add sentences in the app because sometimes when two words are side by side one of them may change

Certain definitions are incomplete and when u click on show more it asks you to go premium with a yearly subscription . Are you serious? Premium in a dictionary app?
