After installing the German dictionary pack, open your ai.type Keyboard settings menu from the ai.type application or by long clicking the menu button on your ai.type Keyboard (bottom left area) then press “languages”. Inside languages, please select German under the ‘Installed’ section. Once installed, you can switch between languages by swiping the Space key right or left from your keyboard.

Good prediction rate! Often used phrases appear again. Especially good for long words and same word sequences. Does not much help with single short words

There is no way to easily add this language and keyboard after you turn them off so as to not have to flip through too many languages on your keyboard. There's an endless loop of a handful of the same languages under the language tab, amd German is not one of them. I can't add or activate it! Please fix!
