GetRIL shows the device's current RIL (Radio Interface Layer) and baseband, notifying you if they match or not. If not
- and you're on a rooted device
- you'll be able to download and install a new matching RIL.

BACKUP & RESTORE
If you accidentally install a faulty RIL you can safely restore a backup of your previous RIL, which is automatically backed up.
There's also the ability to keep the current RIL after a ROM flash. This feature only work on CyanogenMod based ROMs.

NOTE: if you're recieving "unsupported device" messages it's not on me to blame. I'm sad to see all the negative feedback and ratings I've been getting recently because of this.The main issue if you're on a supported device, but recieves this message is because either your carrier or ROM developer have changed some values within a file (build.prop). With this release of GetRIL I've made some changes so that I can add your devices as "supported" devices either way... with one caveat: I'll have to do this manually.

I love this APP! I used it a long time ago for my Samsung Galaxy S2. Now I have an S5 with Bliss ROM (Based on Cyanogenmod 13, Android 6.0 Marshmallow). The App tells me my Device isn't supported and then shows me a list with supported devices. Which has the S5 in it! @dev: Tell me if you need logs or anything so I can help fixing this.
App works works great and has improved service on many occasions. Added not for dev. The "Report RIL" function is failing.
I will buy the paid app if u add note 2 support. And then give 5 stars
Sounds good on paper, not so much in practice.
I have unknown RIL but reporting fails. Running CM11 nightly in LG P880.
This was working perfectly on CM11 Galaxy i9505 but does not currently support CM12 lollipop. Tried to update but does not recognise the partition. Hope this is sorted soon because it does make a difference.
I don't know what the problem is but everytime I refresh the database it says database empty.

Have had no 3g signal for a month. RIL/baseband was mismatched. This app recommended and downloaded correct RIL. perfect 3g now. Thanks.
I have a Samsung galaxy s5, yet it says its unsupported. So, since it doesn't function correctly, I'm rating it at 1 star, wish I could do 0.

The ril database is empty and there is no button to download the database.
5 star if xiaomi redmi 1s soon on your list, it's useful to redmi user to upgrade to 5.01 with mokee rom. Keep it up
Disappointed that my s3.is getting unsupported dialog when opened but some things are just out of a developers control. This is a one of a kind app so I'm showing some love for that alone.
I opened the app and it gave me a list of supported devices. I selected mine. Nothing happened.
I apologize to the developer because I had no money online to donate. But surely this app deserves. It saved me almost 10 euros of fixing the bloody smartphone

Apparently my Galaxy S4 i337 is not supported. Can it be added?
I had some problems with an empty APN list on my Galaxy Nexus (maguro yakju) that could not be populated. XDA gave me a reference to GetRIL and it helped indeed. After I changed my ROM the old RIL/Baseband was still on the phone and was the origin of the trouble. After installing the suggested ones, it works like a charm!
