Why does the phone from which the gpx file is being exported need to be connected to the internet? The gpx file to be exported is on the phone. If the phone is disconnected from the internet, when the gimporter app on the Garmin device is opened, the file can be seen on the Garmin as available to download, but then the download always fails. I hoped this app would allow me to export files without an internet connection, but it does not, hence only 3 stars
Nice work, finally a descent wireless gpx transfer tool... great not to have to take the notebook on every adventure! Using an edge 530 & 1030 with OnePlus 7 on Android 11.
I cannot connect the gimporter app on my garmin to my phone !!!! (The bluetooth connection between my garmin 530 and my phones (Huawei P20 and Samsung S4) works fine, I can use Garmin Connect no problem), but if I open the gimporter app I have the following msg : "Waiting for Bluetooth" Same problem with the widget
GPX Files from the Internet straight on to my gaming, works flawlessly, great app.
As good as it can be given how buggy and unreliable Garmin Connect IQ platform itself!
Try to open in Edge 830 always says connection failed
Used to work smoothly until 1 week ago with gimporter on Forerunner 945. Don't know if issue if coming from gexporter or gimporter though? Can you please check? Thanks
Really useful and simple to use.
Perfect app - an example of great programming that does this task brilliantly. This is a superbly easy way to transfer gpx files downloaded on your hone from eg Strava, ridewithgpx etc using this app and the corresponding ConnectIQ app on your Garmin. I am using Android Marshmallow an the Garmin Edge 820.
Does exactly what it says on the tin. Easy to use and works flawlessly. Why on earth do Garmin make such a simple, useful and important piece of functionality impossible to use without resorting to external apps?

Simple and effective
Excellent app. Very easy to use and works perfectly to transfer files to my Forerunner. Makes it so easy to load courses on my watch. Highly recommended.
