GeyserTimes
The GeyserTimes app is optimized for mobile Android devices and works without a data connection (Data connection is necessary to get updated data and to watch the Old Faithful streaming webcam). It provides all the details for the most passionate geyser gazers and to the casual visitor looking for the next predicted time Old Faithful or other geysers will erupt.
Note: The app now requests to see your rough location. This is used only to improve the performance of the automatic night mode switching feature as it allows your phone to get sunrise and sunset times for your general area. Your location is never sent to our servers and is never stored in the app.
This app and the site will be continuing to evolve as we work to provide a better experience for every user and welcome any feedback or suggestions.

Not able to visit Yellowstone until next year, this app satisfies the geyser geek in me. I even got to see Giantess erupt on the 11th and 12th! Picture quality is quite good. Lots of variety as whoever is in control moves the direction and focus of the camera around.
I used to use this app but currently everytime I open the app a get a message, sync failed. I've unisnstallrd and reinstalled, I'm not very tech smart so that's all I know to do, If anyone else knows anything about this contact me.
Very useful. We've used this to see geysers that have long eruption cycles that we'd otherwise miss. Great for planning.

Great app. Used it the last time we were at Yellowstone and will never visit Yellowstone without it.
Where is internet available in the park to update geyser info?
Not exactly sure of the "why" this update except for known issues with stability of the previous version which crashed every time Emily tried to make an entry. I totally do not like the new version of "Favorites" which attempts to combine time since last eruption, last know eruption, and prediction as well as image. REALLY!! I used to use this all the time with knowledge of the latest interval. I could view the previous version of "Favorites" on a single screen but now have to scroll through at least four screens to get the same information. This is NOT progress. The issue with entering eruptions to the nearest second is a joke. Take Grotto Fountain - often you get meaningful pushes as much as a foot or more tall, but many would not consider this an eruption until Grotto Fountain gets to eye level. However, the real start (to the nearest second) would make the time the push elevated above the crater. I have others "jump" my entry by claiming that Castle started three seconds before my FRS call, and just when does one enter the to-the-second start of most Beehives. This is nothing more than a group of "experts" letting the casual observers know that our input is not welcome. I guess I need to keep my Beehive Indicator calls to my self - especially during the night hours.

Love this app, utilize when in the park. Need help please, have new phone and pw and username did not transfer. Tried to have password reset, no email sent yet, have attempted twice, have checked spam as well. Thanks!

Love this app. Very helpful when I am in the basin. Especially when someone wants to know when some geyser is going to erupt. I really the predictions too.
Great App! Better than running to the visitor center for times. Saw a number of eruptions within minutes of Apps predictions. Not great for remote geysers though...

Streaming the O F cam to our tv is a great feature with this app and chromecast!
Chromecast streaming of webcam would be a nice option.
Simple, easy to enter times and pull up data, the best feature by far is the ability for you to enter a time disconnected from cell service or wifi, and then it will enter that time to the system whenever you connect. Outstanding!
Didn't work, needed connection, limited to no service in Yellowstone!

Offline capability is a must in the height of summer in Yellowstone when cell networks are overwhelmed.
Gives you geyser times, helpful info. And geyser predictions. A must have for EVERY Yellowstone visitor or geyser enthusiast.

Dev did a great job
I used to love using this app to figure out geyser times, see notes left by other people, etc. At some point since the update to the most recent Android this app has stopped working right. It just doesn't sync properly with the servers. As a result there aren't any up-to-date predictions, even the NPS predictions that should always be there. Loved the app, lovedthe concept but it just doesn't work anymore. I've deleted data and reinstalled and it didn't help sadly. Total bummer.
