GFXBench GL Benchmark
GFXBench 4.0 enables measuring mobile and desktop performance with advanced graphics effects and increased workloads.
Features:
• Car Chase, a new OpenGL ES 3.1 plus Android Extension Pack test: the first benchmark to test devices with game-like content utilizing Android Extension Pack features such as hardware tessellation
• Car Chase render features: o Hardware-tessellation for the background environment o Bézier-curves and adaptive tessellation used for the smooth car surface o Geometry and compute shaders used for multiple effects: HDR tone mapping bloom, lens flares, particles, motion blur o Dynamic lighting and cascaded shadows, realtime reflections on cars o Real time SSAO for depth-of-field effect
• New low-level tessellation test
• Automatically detects your device's capabilities and selects the most appropriate test set for your device to provide accurate information. Therefore the list of available tests may vary between devices.
• Including Manhattan 3.0 for OpenGL ES 3.0 and Manhattan 3.1 for OpenGL ES 3.1 testing
• Battery and Stability test: Measures the device’s battery life and performance stability by logging frames-per-second (FPS) and expected battery running while running sustained game-like animations
• Render quality test: Measures the visual fidelity provided by the device in the high-end gaming-like scene
• Multi-lingual, easy-to-use user interface: device comparison within the application by downloading the complete GFXBench database, extensive system information
• On-screen and off-screen test run modes
• Includes all previous low-level tests for devices with only ES2.0 capability.

Please note: The full fledged benchmark needs at least 300 MB free space on the device (required for the high-level test scenes).
Used permissions:
• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, INTERNET These are used by the data downloading and updating processes. We try to constrain our downloads to Wifi networks.
• WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE These are used to store and read downloaded data on the external storage if its more adequate.
• BATTERY_STATS, CAMERA, READ_LOGS, WRITE_SETTINGS We strive to display the most detailed hardware information possible without any network communication. These flags are used for this purpose.

Not work. Downloading 640MB data then try to test with start all or selections, it just load and stop. No info about what and why. Device : Poco F3 A11 8/256 GB
Not Sure why it says it's a quick download, because when you start it up - it demands a 660 MB Download. Not exactly a lightweight product.
Runs out of memory on a Pixel 6 Pro, so don't bother trying this if you have less than 16GB RAM.
It just keeps crashing during startup on my S22+
Not working. And long download cash, cannot connect to server.
Useless application . Even if test starts. It will never end . . After cancelling the test results appear . In which my phose shows highest results even higher than apple phones 😂 . . Try other applications
Connecting to server......and then shows network timeout. Hell of an app. It was nice a year back when I tested with other phone
Stuck at connecting to server . Running Wifi AX with 10gbps fibre here. No issues downloading etc at all.
You should state in the description that we need to sign up for some kind of account just to run this. I just wasted my time downloading an extra 83Mb before finding out... thanks.
What data are you trying to sync when the app opens? This needs to be made more clear to users.
It's not working on my Asus MeMO pad 7 tablet even though version 4.0 was working. I will give it full star rating unless it starts to work on my tablet.
Requires sign in to perform the benchmark. It's completely useless when you don't want to create an account.
Seems to start and then just crashes. No clue what the latest update has done.

I cannot test my Xiaomi device because it cannot download the necessary files. Connection problem on WiFi.

On Android 9 doesn't run at all.
Refuses to start on Lineage OS since it is a custom rom yeah ok. But WHY DID IT HAVE TO DOWNLOAD ALL THIS CRAPLOAD OF DATA FIRST?
Soooooo many haters... why? This app works fine, please stop this 1 star rating campaign, it's horribly stupid. Please, be a decent human being, you all are no different than monkeys, just following someone doing something without further thinking. Well monkeys with smartphones. Condolences to the developer.

Says my phone has a custom rom, it's a stock Pixel 2. More apps need to be tested with the most up to date Android versions. Had to watch spash screen to download 660mbs of data, it wouldn't download in the backround. When in the app I couldn't run any tests since it wanted me to create an account and log in, this is just too much to get a score on my device, especially when your already getting my device info. I'll pass and use the other options available.
