- Beta only. Only 2 screens shown with a segment complete page•Android wear: full support for standalone GPS tracking with the Sony Smartwatch 3 and Moto 360 sport. Meaning you can leave your phone at home. Supports btle heart rate sensor which is missing with many popular apps and with the moto 360 sport makes use of the inbuilt heartrate monitor. The Android Wear Ghostracer app also supports non gps enbaled watches when paired to a phone.

Ghostracer allows you to use your GPS android wear device as a fully usable cycling computer. It can connect to btle cycling sensors such as speed, cadence and power sensors.

The SW3 supports features such as: Bluetooth heart rate compatible, ambient mode and full customization of the display making it one of the best SW3 tracking apps. Note there is an issue with the sw3 where sweat can make the watch lose GPS signal. People have used sweatbands or other things under the watch to keep it away from sweat, resulting in much improved performance.

If I finish a run and forget to actually swipe away the statistics page, battery will drain to nothing over the next few hours. Presumably GPS is still turned on by the app at this time, or some other process is running away like crazy. Can you please stop whichever it is? There's no obvious indication that the stats page is still active - there is no ongoing notification, for instance. Otherwise very handy for sharing stats.

I would like to just be able to select a previous run I've done and run against that, but this doesn't appear possible, which is a massive downside for me. I'd love to be corrected, but as far as I can tell, you can only import segments or created routes from Strava. Segments are too small for my route and I have a free version of Strava so I can't create routes. Outside of this, the UI is also pretty rough and non-intuitive. Could do with a re-design.

Recorded activity on watch and it never made it to the app. Tried force syncing but no dice. Activity is just GONE. Useless. Edit: apparently it runs in standalone mode by default. Why?!?!? After switching to paired it works but I still lost my activity. Urgh.. Edit 2: after about 15 minutes my run suddenly showed up. Mind you I force synced multiple times at this point. Not sure what is happening.

Unfortunately basically unusable on the Ticwatch Pro - if the screen isn't always on, it kills the CPU and takes 10-15 seconds just to get the watch screen to turn back on. Then crashed yesterday midway through a run, and the whole watch had to be restarted just to get anything usable again. I only use it in standalone mode. Nice idea, poorly executed.

The ONLY app to not force you to use "standalone mode" on wearOS. Runtastic tries to do this, but ends up never switching to ambient mode, completely killing battery in 1 hour flat. IT's a very simple ask, very needed for those of us who have run for a long time (3hrs+), and this simple little app, does it. There's nothing fancy here, no crazy graphics (y do you need them?) no membership coaching thing...just free simple app that lets you use your wearOS watch as a 'second screen' for your runs.

Dear Author/Developer. I use the app (sony smartwatch 3, sometimes with or without a phone) with my cardiac belt and a cadence/speed sensors. Everything works fine (as you know). At the end of my (bike) ride I notice that the app does not save the data in a file. Shouldn't it do that? Please clarify. Thanks.

Looks like a good alternative to Outdoor Active now it's been ruined by Outdoor Active. GR basically let's me place a gpx on a map and follow it using phone and wear OS. The only issues I have found is when importing gpx and creating a 'ghost' i loses the file name and i can't change it, so I'll probably end up with loads of unlabelled routes on my map. Also, it wont recognise files download directly from onedrive, although it does loaf the same file saved from the phone.

When I customise the screen for the smart watch 3, is just displays a blank screen on the watch. The happens regardless of what changes are made to the screen. I have to apply the default screen and save before the watch will work again. This used to work perfectly, but now I have to stick with the default screen and not add the fields I actually want to see. Edit: all sorted, turns out the watch takes several days to update!

Essential for runners with a Sony smartwatch 3. october 2019 standalone mode no longer displays external heart rate (polar oh1) even though ghostracer finds and pairs with the bluetooth sensor. maybe the oh1 firmware update, although i noticed in the comments that other external sensors are reporting "0" too. help!!

Hi, it works great, Ticwatch 3. A question, it seem that HR data was not synced with Strava, or maybe i am missing something. Should something be adjusted in GR or in Strava (free account)? Also, is ther a way to have HR info on running screen, i cannot find appropriate data field..

Very reliable, no issues uploading to strava like others have mentioned recently. Wish strava didn't recalculate my calories burned though - always drops them much lower than ghostracer states (and they match my polar watch when I've done comparisons so would prefer strava to leave them alone!)

Haven't actually run with it yet, but offers all the features I would have expected from Strava et al. Love the configurability on Wear OS. The view on round faced watches could be better.

Stopped working on my Sony SmartWatch 3. Is the support removed for this as well, or something else happened? Also, I cannot check in the app which version I have, would be nice to have it in the app. Edit: I reinstalled the app and it picked it up on the watch. As a fellow Android dev I understand the pain, so I updated the review to five stars. The version number is now visible on the watch, but still not in the app.

Paid for the full version of the app within minutes. While the app may be a bit unpolished here and there, it's functions (especially the high customisability on WearOS) is made for true fitness enthusiasts, not wannabe active wear models.

I have been struggling with my smartwatch and Strava. Using Strava the mileage and pace are far off and using google fit doesn't give me the analytics I would like. This has given me great accuracy and perfect Strava compatibility.

Hands down, best running app you can get for watch OS!!! Love the customizability!!! Only issue in fossil gen 5 is, the heart rate and other sensors not working in paired mode. Please look into this

I really like the app. It is the only one I've found that allows me to customize my Wear OS screens on my watch. Endomondo was great for this but doesn't support Wear OS for some odd reason. Two major issues tho, I'm using a Fossil Gen 5 watch and GhostRacer won't read my Heart Rate for some reason. All my other running apps DO read it, including Strava. The big selling point for Ghostracer is being able to customize the watch face so I can see my HR along with my pace and distance. Without HR this app will not help me. (Also not uploading to Strava for some reason.)

I purchased the app for navigation. Downloaded offline map to my devices (samsung Galaxy A51 & Suunto 7) Can't even see the map on the Suunto 7. I don't have a swipe option to the 3rd tile where the map should be located. It's frustrating.

Pleasantly surprised by how well it works on my phone and integrating with Strava. Easily create ghosts from Strava segments, tells you when the ghost starts and finishes. Paid for pro just to reward the good work.
