Giant SCAN IT! Mobile

Felt like it didn't quite follow through...I scanned as I shopped and expected to be able to pay thru the app (since it asked for a credit card...), and then I still had to use the checkout for payment. It would be exceptional if I could skip the checkout at the register part (like you can at other stores, ie. Sam's Club). Update/fix this, and I'll be able to provide an updated/better review. Great start, though!

I've only been able to use this app once in my local Giant. Every time I try to use it, I get a server connection error. When I ask the store staff for help, they say "it doesn't really work in our store & they aren't doing anything to fix it". They keep advertising an app that doesn't work, they know it & are doing nothing to fix it. Go to Wegmans. Their prices are a little higher but their app works and their customer service actual helps with problems.

Used the app for the first time today. Scanning and checkout worked about as well as it could. Checkout was a breeze. I love being able to bag as I shop and not have to unload/reload at checkout. Lost a star because the app insists on setting up a digital wallet, but you still have to pay using the terminal.

One star is kind. Got to the Giant and tried to scan. Throughout the store, all I got was that it could not get to the server (I was on the Giant wifi). No one who worked at the store had any idea how the system was supposed to work, much less how to fix it. Compare to Wegmans for a scanning app that works well. Pathetic.

Scanning was nice, didn't have to get stuff back out of my cart. However, the big reason I wanted this app was to go totally contactless (save for touching the cart and the products inside). If I can't PAY with the app, that goes out the window. Why am I prompted to set up a payment method if I can't pay with the app?

While I like the application, their process is terrible. The system will look at your transactions, and may require an audit. Once your account is flagged for an audit you have to complete the audit. The issue is they don't train the employees to handle the audit. I was flagged for an audit (no problem with that). The issue is I have tried to used the app 6 times at 3 different stores. No one knew what the problem was or was willing figure out the problem

I used it like 7 time, was wonderful, but today fir the 1st time didn't let me choose a card, just to login to wallet, the problem, I never sign up for that and in the option gave by the app was just log in and forgot your password, no registration no sign up, no chance to do nothing, very disappoint, was a great thing for giant, not any more. I hope they will add the register now to that page.

This app doesn't work in any capacity. It claims my Giant card number is invalid, unable to connect to WiFi and that I need to go to customer service. Customer Service looked at me like I had two heads and claimed they had no knowledge of the app! They were very apologetic, but were unable to do anything. Fix the app!

I love the app! Completely saves me time at checkout, Scan as I go, pack my bags the way I want. I am sad about not setting up a credit card to go with it. Lines are a bit long these days, However, customer service allowed me to pay at their registers and I was out the door fast. 3 Cheers for Giant!!!!

The app worked great. It was easy to use and didn't have any issues scanning anything. I only took off a star because I don't like having to be connected to the specific stores wifi.

Does NOT work. I'm expected to go to customer service to get access to become a 'scan it customer.' What's the point of adding my bonus card info and still not having access. The whole point of using this app is to avoid as many people as possible

So, tried to use this. Kept telling me I had to connect to Giant Wi-fi, which I did. Kept getting error message telling me to connect. Shouldn't require a specific network at all let alone not work when connected to the required network. Completely useless app.

I got the app to speed up shopping but also to try and avoid the long lines that have come with the coronavirus. However I have not been able to add cards to the wallet and trying triggers a fraud alert on the cards.

First it won't connect to the wifi but when it does it says something is wrong with the app and asks me to get in touch with customer service. Non functional app. Don't waste your time.

Somewhat works,the price checking part never works and you can't pay they your phone which is weird since you guys have a option to set it up,also having to use the stores WiFi is a hit and miss because it doesn't work sometimes and it drains my phone's battery

It can never connect to the server. I am connected to the Giant Wifi and I sign in as a guest... Still nothing. It's completely useless. I miss the in store scanners.

The app generally works well. My issues is that the system in the store that it connects to is often down. When it does work, it's excellent.

With my Pixel 3, SCANiT was working at the local Giant (Kennett Square PA). I upgraded to the Pixel 5, in late November, and since then have not been able to get SCANiT to work. The error msg is the same as in the other reviews - connection error, check with customer service. I was connected to Giant WiFi (as is required by SCANiT). The helpful manager at customer service checked with her iPhone and was able to connect to SCANiT. The Google Pixel 5 uses Android version 11. So, for the last 3 weeks, no SCANiT! Is there a SCANiT customer support line?

It's getting better! Just expand to all stores already !

Not sure why this app doesn't want to work for me. I've loaded and unloaded it. It keeps telling me it can't reach the server in the store. It would have made my life so much easier. The Wegman's scan it app works fine and I love it.

Suspicious App! Really wanted to use but security threat to phone. Won't work unless you're connected to an open wifi network.....why can't you connect over data?

Really like using the app, saves so much time at checkout. But every now and then it freezes when scanning. Just need to cancel that and rescan.

Reset constantly and wallet was useless. The implementation of the Android keyboard doesn't use any cursor or spelling suggestion. Generally very poorly written.

Recently installed and worked pretty good. My issue is that it won't recognize my Google Pay app as a payment option. I've tried several times without any luck. I did like not having to wait in line at the end of my visit.

4 stars because you can't pay through the app. I don't want to go to a register if I don't have to. I was hoping it was like the Sam's Club app. Other than that, it works great. I think all the people giving bad reviews are the problem. The app installs and runs great.

Since the August 25th update app does not identify store wifi....ever. Phone is is connected to Scan-it wifi. Tried Giant wifi as well with no success. Please update

Terrible. Can't progress on several screens. The interface is impossible to use.

Uninstalled. App won't even function. Can only use in store with Giants wifi but app refuses to recognize that I'm connected. An update is needed.

App is completely non-functional. Just asks me to connect to store wifi I'm already connected to anytime I try to do anything in it.
