I greatly value the privacy Gibiru emphasizes and do not (yet) miss the sacrifice of convenience such as saved passwords and whatnot. however i would strongly recommend improving some of the features: pressong the back button always sends you too far back. For example, if i am exploring a website and want to back up for any reason i have to start all over again because i end up back at the search page. NOT COOL!
Tired of being data mined by Google. This app is good for stand-alone searches, but the functionality is extremely limited. For example, it does not appear to be possible to see the web address once a site is navigated to. Also, there doesn't appear to be any way to share a website, so if one wanted to use information found on a particular website for for future reference, it would need to be written down. However, I suppose these, and any other, inconveniences lend themselves to greater privacy.
Good app to reclaim your search privacy. but many developments are needed. 1 - it is very slow to load the webpages. 2- the page alignment is little offbalance i mean sometimes while scrolling down the page will shrink or the text will bcom tiny(no i am not using multiple figers to scroll, it is not zoom in out).
Gibiru search is my go to. love the look and the results. this app itself is terribly slow and has a lot of issues. I use Brave browser and just use a shortcut on my home screen to access Gibiru search. much faster.
Love the search engine butLooking for an android browser that allows Gibiru to be set as the default search provider. Firefox does not.
I like the search results, unfortunately, the application is not optimized for tablet landscape orientation.
The background behind news articles (galaxy picture) makes the article difficult to read. Some news articles do not allow the basic subscriber the complete story but ends with ...
I'm sorry . But, every time you find what your looking for from search. You tap on domain. You get sent back to beginning, then closes
The app is very slow to load and respond. Literally feels like it's running on Windows 95 or something.
I trust the connection to the Epoch Times. So far so good... I like the fact its apart from the " pack" , and doesnt share our personal info. Thumbs up.
I like the privacy but too often the links in the search results don't work. I click several links and nothing happens.
When you click the search icon it takes you to an error page
Smooth and a quality product. Moved away from duckduckgo.
I downloaded this app but it would not search, said, "webpage not available..." So, I uninstalled it. I'll try brave. DDGo is no longer private, yet another has been bought off I assume.
I finally found a browser that's private and uncensored. Yes it's fast too.
Can't get some searches to open after they are listed in search results.
I can't read entire articles, or find links to the articles I'm trying to read.
There's no way to clear previous searches from the search box.
i won't use it until you allow it to run from my sd card. space is at a premium.
Thank the great maker. I hate google as you only get the results that they want to show you. Finally I am able to search without socalist censership. I hope Gibiru continues to grow.
Malfunctions buttons dont work, closes on itself random glitches.
This app sounds like Google CSE, which basically not very good Google results.
Exceptional search engine. Privacy is their top concern.
Excellent content... and I just started to explore this app!
I love the fact that it doesn't infringe on your privacy but that's about it. The app is very annoying because if you are clicking links on the page and hit the back button to go back (on the phone, not the app itself) it brings you right back to the start. It takes forever to launch and when you search and click on a searched link, it often doesn't respond to the tapping. All round very slow app. Recommendation: add a video tab. But mainly, make it faster and more stable.
