Gibson Learn & Master Guitar

On my Acer Iconia A500 tablet (Android 3.2 Honeycomb) it has horizontal alignment issues with some of the graphics. For example the metronome tempo wheel spans across the entire screen. It must have something to do with the use on tablets vs phones. There are other similar issues. Overall good but the cosmetic sloppy development isn't inline with the Gibson brand.

This would be a great app if all the lessons and stuff was actually in the app instead of having to go to YouTube and watch them, so why have the app if you can go straight to YouTube to get the lessons without having to go through another app first. Don't make much sense to me but I'm just one person. Played music all my life but don't understand this.

All tabs works fine. Very useful application for learners and masters too. But I have problem with METRONOME. While app running, I can't change the count. It starts beating 3 or 4 counts per second, in this situation I have to quit app and again restart app. So please team fix this issue for me. I'll be happy to give 5 star then.

Combines many things a student needs and the more experienced musician needs. Works great on my Samsung S 2 phone. It did work well on my Asus eee Transformer Prime until the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade. The tuner graphics do not align on the big format screen. Even then the chord charts and lessons are great on the larger format.

Don't use the Iphone design on the android. Bad. Also you should really place views properly on the screen. And if you want to cut of the galaxy users, do it through the manifest, not as a star in the description. We don't read descriptions and now you are getting bad reviews. On a galaxy Nexus. Oh, and do not put commercials in my face. Two stars for the content. Zero stars for implementation.

The app is great, especially tuner function is a lifesaver for beginners like me. But it has some UI defects on Galaxy Nexus. The needle of the tuner is off scale. You somehow manage to understand it from the green light but needle is nuts. It is the same for metronome's needle. If the needle is worked out, app would be much better.

I was expecting this to be a great app and u was disappointed. First off it seemed as though they ported the I phone version to android .... The ui doesn't fit my screen the tuner needle is somewhere to the side if the pivot. I really don't feel like using this app with such a crappy user interface ... I definitely won't suggest this app to any droid users.

Galaxy Note 8: The tuner doesn't work. It's completely unresponsive to my touch screen. Then out of nowhere, it will play one arbitrary note & keep playing it until I exit the app. Also, I have to re-set the mode every time I've exited the app and then opened it again. It doesn't save what I've set. Even for free, this app is just not worth it.

I was looking for something to replace Guitar Toolkit from my iPhone and was hoping this would be the ticket after seeing nothing but lackluster Android apps everywhere, but... The tuner doesn't work and the graphics are in weird places and the metronome does not keep anywhere near accurate time (it sounds more like a Geiger counter!), so basically this app is unusable.

Only thing useful is the metronome which is limited to common time signatures. The lessons jump from section to section and is not the full range of lessons. Hence the adverts for the DVD. The style of teaching is for absolute beginners..it's slow and at parts confusing the way it's taught. The chord list is only a sample. Best advice: buy a chord book, a pitch pipe and search online for lessons. UNINSTALLED

It does not look good on large screens, and many UI elements are not positioned properly. The needle for the tuner is way off to the side, so when you're in tune it points straight up still but it does not line up with the rest of the meter. The metronome worked for a few seconds then started randomly giving beats whenever it felt like around 10 times a second as soon as I changed the tempo. No amount of starting or stopping it, nor bringing it back to the original tempo could fix it. 2nd gen Nexus 7

Seems like a good app, but I can't do anything on here. Every time I get on this app it stops working, no force close or nothing. It just freeze. I would like to have this app as my main app, but there are too many other apps that are working so.....plz fix.

Overall I like the app. But metronome needs fixed. I am using a Samsung Rugby Pro. When I start the app and go to the metronome and started, it works fine, but if I try to adjust the tempo while is running, it goes crazy and no matter if I srop it it does the same rhing. To properly use it, I close rhe app, or force close it. Reopen it and set the tempo I need and leave it alone. But is annoying if you are practicing with different tempos.

I just started learning to play the acoustic guitar and so can't tune by ear. This app has really helped me out. Most other apps I have used don't work with the microphone but this app does which makes it hell a cool.

I haven't pressed one button and it closes on me. Then I restarted the phone and it still didn- work. This is a bunch of bullshit

The app would be probably the best music app there is in the play store if it weren't so buggy, I can't use it properly on my Samsung J7 Since it's configured for other devices, the labels are misplaced and the interactive features are poorly calibrated to their respective icons. Other than that the app is just great.

The position of various graphical elements are "off" when running on the Samsung Galaxy S4. The app seems to work ok, but, for example, the tuning needle isn't centered. App needs to be updated for high-resolution device displays.

Yea sometimes things don't work but I just reinstall if and fine using it for years . Hey Guys, still love it all my Students use it ,simple, fun and truly informative.. Works fine on my Nexus, and LG and etc

Dragging to change tempo while metronome is already "on" causes metronome to completely glitch out and not play at a steady speed. Glitch remains even after pausing and restarting metronome. Force closing app fixes problem. Samsung Galaxy S4.

Tuner hunts and never finds the note. Metronome is erratic, never stabilizes. Sound - on tuning outputs sound, but doesn't always recognize which peg was touched. Best guitars in the world... terrible app.

But I don't know, does not work on my HP Slate7. Metronome looses its mind every time I open it, no matter what the BPM is set to it ticks like a cracked out woodpecker. And the tuner needle is way off (The actual tuner is on the far left of the screen and the needle is on the far right). But the chords and the lessons work fine

The freaking piece of crap force closes if I could give it 0 stars orless I would give it a negative 3. Fix it. Uninstall.

Would be great if it actually worked. Freezes on start and crashes. Android phone 2.2 os Samsung Indulge 4G. Shame on you Gibson.

Somehow got deleted. Wasnt there when I needed it. Otherwise its a great app and should show up first when searching guitar

Sadly.. Galaxy S continues to be a problem.. To bad since the part of the tutor I see looks useful

App is constantly freezing on the samsung acclaim. Totaly disappointed. Uninstall. Note to Gibson please fix the problem ps long live schecter guitars

i installed it from my ohone and then after it was complete i couldn't find it on my phone. first smart phone so i don't really know how this works. when i get on my account on here it says that it is installed already. how do i make this work.
