Gideon Smart Home

I like the interface of the app very much. It is intuitive. However, when trying to add my wife as another user using "share the keys" it does not work. We both have the app. But when either one of us logs onto the app, it logs the other person off. So we can't both be using the app at the same time. In addition, other than emailing support, there is no "help" database available.

still no response from gideon (going on 3 weeks now). will continue to update... great app. not receiving confirmation email. currently locked out because i havent confirmed my email. checked spam folder, junk folder, every folder havent received any email yet. i really like this app. just cant currently login to make adjustments. similar issue from other users as well. until this gets fixed i do not recommend this app.

There is no suppport to this app, appears there are no people behind it. I have sent 5 emails over a 12 day period and not received a response. I have checked all junk and spam folders, they simply do not respond. I now can't access app because I never received the "email address confirmation" email. Resending email via the app does nothing. I highly recommend not installing! Does not seem trustworthy at all.

Exactly what I was looking for home automation hub. Easy to add and use devices

No customer support. I lost access a month ago and reached out to support. To date, no one has ever responded.

Useless app! As of today, the 27th of January 2019, there is no way to link your Google Home app to Gideon app.

Does the feature for opening the garage door through wink work?

Worked fine, but now crashes everytime I try to open the app. Created new account; stopped crashing but d vices do not show up after they have been added eg Nest devices. Too buggy...

I was apprehensive about this app after reading the reviews, and they're correct. It doesn't work with Alexa & I'd rather not waste time on the phone w/ them or any app. Especially when I can see from their responses to these comments that they cannot spell. That doesn't instill much confidence. No thanks!

Love this app so much finally found a single app for most of my smart devices. Would have loved to see smartlife devices integrated as well hopefully that will come soon.

Will not let me sign in. On my honywell.evohome. says password or email incorrect

The app is slowly improving. Gideon does not support sonoff or more generic brands

Cannot add gideon to alexa skill, really bummed

App crashes every time "Read more" in smart management is pressed; most device control widgets either don't do anything or can only control a single function like setting thermostat mode (which also doesn't seem to work) but not the temperature. Good idea but definitely needs more work.

This is a great app. And has the potential to be so much more. App support is great, they are polite and and give fast responses. I not all my devices are compatible yet, like my Logitech Harmony Hub and elite remote, logitech cameras or my Insignia pugs. I was told though they are a small team but working hard to get compatibility with these devices and more. Can't wait!! Keep up the excellent work.

Its a solid app but I think ut still needs work. Especially with tricks, ifttt integration, etc. I use note 8, 2 nest thermostats and 3 wemo plugs. I went back to using proprietary apps. Not sure if it's because of this app or im not smart enough in this field yet. Stock apps have great things but shortcoming is the use of multiple apps. To Gideon: dont reinvent the wheel. Just take th best of the other apps and put it all together in one. One other thing. Your thermostat and nest seem to be off by one number for some reason.

Please support Smart life, others have asked since last year, if not then just say it will not be supported...thx

Doesn't connect to anything. I have a Google Home, Nest, Ring, and WeMo. Every attempt I made to connect to any of them resulted in an unexpected error. I've been trying for a few days with no luck.

Seems like it has great potential, but for some reason, it will NOT sync with my Belkin NetCam. Also it won't connect with my Google Home. It says that there's not a linked account and to just figure it out in the Google Home App? I also noticed that when viewing my outdoor Nest Cams, I have to tap "start streaming" and it simply opens the Nest App... I wish it would just load the video feed like how it looks like it's trying to with the Belkin NetCam. Basically, it would be nice to see cam video in this app instead of opening the Nest App. Hopefully someone see's this and can offer me some insight on my Google Home and NetCam (I've even added my cams local IP address and it still doesn't load) Thanks.

I love the app. I've used it for around 5 months now with no problems at all. I use it to control Hue lights, and wemo plugs.

Finally a comprehensive smart home automation app that works properly. Great job Devs and stunning UI

App looks pretty cool but I can't figure out how to connect to my Google Home. It just says to go to the app, no clear instructions ☹️ Edit: After a while I figure out how. Couldn't find the option at the Google Home app but asking the assistant to talk to "Gideon Home" and it worked. The app is really useful and work well, I just wish the general design were more clean. Icons for widgets would be really helpful too.
