GifWidget lets you use Giphy to find gifs, and you can also use any other gif with GifWidget: just save a gif you want to use to your device and you’re all set.
We’ve optimized the app to use as little resources as possible, but you should always use the lowest suitable quality as the animation requires much more memory when a higher quality is used.Quality guide:– Low: best for 1x1 widgets– Medium: best for 2x2 widgets– High: best for 4x4 widgets– Source: original quality, no matter how huge. Not recommended!
Please note that long animations require a lot of memory! If the animation keeps stopping or it fails to load at all, it might be too big for your device to handle. You can restart a stopped animation by tapping on the widget.
Worried about the battery life? The animation will be suspended while the screen is off, so the impact on the battery is much less than you might think.

I have a pixel 5 running android 11 and it works for me. The other app for doing this had problems loading blank background gifs but this manages OK. Will update after using for a while to check for freezes. Nice there is an option for quality. Simple graphics only need medium quality but detailed ones may require source for good reproduction, but performance will be affected. Hope this helps
I very much like this app! It's super good and I personally love it. One thing I do wish though is to be able to have widgets with rounded corners or borders. Again, great app if you want something simple and easy to navigate <3
ALMOST PERFECT. I uses this for both my phone and tablet, with phone its doing fine. The only drawback would be the tablet, I noticed if the gif is in transparent it would glitch where theres a black bar at the bottom. I hope It can be fixed tho w/ the transparent gif 😣😣
It does work but i just hope it can place more than one widgets. Just one widget available is not enough. This app has potential so I'll be waiting for the new update, hoping the increase capabilities of the app.
Fellas I tried many gif apps and I found a solution to the problems where it disappears after restarting your phone and stops playing occasionally all you have to do is go the apps settings and allow it to run in the background and unrestrict it from some certain battery savers
Works well very easy to us. Whish it was possible to have a slide show format where it would cycle through multiple gifs.
This IS a good app but are you kidding me you only get to use one gif?!?!. Like that is super messed up whats the point it making an app if the only way u can use it is by buy an upgrade!!!. U could ATLEAST add like 3????, Anything is better then just one. Its not fair to the MINORS WITH NO MONEY (me being one) that would like to make their phone look nice. Im upset with this app though its the only one that has worked just wish i could get more then one gif if fixed ill rate higher stars
Awesome. Just wanted an animated gif, of my favourite sports team, running on my home page next to my other sports/news widgets. Just sits there, doing nothing but look great. Recommended.
The gifs end up being choppy and it seems to slow things down on my device. Maybe it's just me though, maybe someone else has better experiences.
It is the only legit gif widget app that I could find and it works pretty well my only issue is that after a while the gif stops and then you have to reload it but that's barely an issue

The gif animations just simply don't work. I've tried lowering the quality and using different gifs, but it doesn't work :/
What happen? Used this app before in the past and it worked. Now it don't play nothing. Just says error for everything I pick. Even gifs smaller then 1mb won't play. What a waste now.
bro delete your app if you're not going to update it in 2021. it's not very functional anymore and needs more features.
Freezes after using another app. Makes the app pointless since my gif just turns into a photo very quickly.
It works but as soon as i get on another app(or even a minute later) the gif is just a still picture, or it shows the gifwidget logo and I keep having to redo it
very likable with all the search options within the app. Gif sharing capabilities would be an awesome option for fb messenger ect. Thank you
You can only upload one gif and that gif will freeze often. It looks like a still picture 90% of the time.
Gifs don't work. They all come out glitchy and are gone when you restart your phone.
It works great but I do hope u can add more then 1 widget without having to pay
Can only keep one gif active on screen, you have to pay for more than 1 gif which is quiet disappointing

Don't buy this constantly freezes. The app hasn't been updated in YEARS.
Great app! Better than I expected, the only thing I would say is at least allow up to two Gifs.
It's nice but only one? I Woukd rather use a different app were there are more but this works fine, it's easy and just really nice.
I like this app but fix the bottom side of the gifs.It has some color lines.
why does this application often freeze? Is it not compatible with Android 10?
Perfect!!! Exactly what I needed. Not a Live Wallpaper for my homescreen but this.
Brilliant little app. Especially good if you get some animated GIFs with a transparent background. I have, Goku and Vegeta constantly fighting on my home screen haha over my animated wallpaper. Looks super cool. The only small issue is sometimes it freezes when returning to the home screen. It starts again when you tap it, and it always plays fine when you turn on your screen, so it's not a big issue. But I'd love it to be fixed if possible.
