I love this, the app can be a little tricky but it works just fine for me. I see in some of the reviews that people had difficulty but I don't think they were scanning properly. You have to use the phone icon on the physical toy to activate certain things / get started. Once I realized that it was cute and fun to play with.
App is fun but it freezes during bath time. My puppy will just sit in the tub with out any command bars on the top or bottom. So I'm unable to scrub or clean my dog. Then it freezes. No option to go back so have to close the app for a few minutes before I can reopen and try something else. All other options work, except when giving it a bath. Hope this gets fixed soon.
I can find no way to do most of the things on the actual toy. You have to use the app. There's no point in getting the toy if you can't take care of the pet from the toy. All the things like bathe and play are locked. But on the app you have to scan the toy to even do certain things. None of it makes sense to me. Make the toy like it was in the 90s, it was much better back then, simpler.
Will not focus on the gigapet screen. I've lined it up. Pressed the focus button once, nothing happened. So I pressed and held the focus button, nothing. How can I use the app when it doesn't even work? I understand now why the rating for it so low.
It does give achievements if you have the right light, no glare. But it does nothing for the app outside of a 1 time animation. uninstalling. ill keep my unicorn giga pet. so much more could be done with the app that is unused
The scanning feature doesn't work, unfortunately. I tried getting it to work, different lighting, holding it just right, etc. Nothing worked. My AR pet ran away 🤷♀️. The actual toy is awesome though.
Take as many pictures as you want of your gigapet, it doesn't matter. They still run off and the app still doesn't process anything. Absolute garbage.
It would be a great game if the bath part worked. You can load it up but then there is no waterhose or scrubby to give them a bath and it just freezes there. Cant go back or anything unless you reload the game again..... Needs to be fixed
the unicorn pet on this app is CREEPY! when u pet it its head turns UPSIDE DOWN! I even have a picture of it happening! also the scanning feature does not work AT ALL! I thought the app would make it easier and it does nothing. horribly disapointed.
Doesn't work. Doesn't load correctly, freezes, crashes, the list goes on. Absolutely love the gigapet itself, total nostalgia for me, but this app sucks.
Enjoyable addition to the giga pet experience! Only downside is mine freezes when trying to bath him. No controls pop up nor the red framing, it just stays frozen on the image of the puppy in the tub. Not sure what will happen hygiene wise if this feature doesn't work right...
Great idea but scanning was a problem Everything went well but then I tried to scan but it didn't work. Sont recommend because you cant so much. The was WAYY better than the app. DON'T DOWNLOAD
Completely disappointed. I was hoping to get a good flash back to my childhood can't even scan the toy. you can't do absolutely anything without scanning the damn toy. 100% completely disappointed that I wasted $15. Really wish there was a way to get my money
All you can really do is feed your pet. Not fun. The customizing feature sucks and I do NOT recommend.
I only got the AR to work once, and it required a lot of fiddling with the lights in my room. wasn't even too interesting. Suprised it successfully recognized as a unicorn as my GigaPet is defective and has a dino chip in it but that's all i have to say.
Horrible. Non working digital puppy game and AR app is not fully functional. Package says do not return to store, only contact company. They do not respond to emails and the website looks fishy. Have not heard back from anyone!
There is a serious problem going on with uploading the app and the app cutting off meaning you can't play with yourpet I hate to say this but please do not buy this product until they can fix the app because the whole reason this app is cool is because you can play with your animal virtuallyI have personally emailed the owner of this app hopefully he can get bk to me the website doesn't even work plz app back working an installing properly everyone has the same problem so it has to be fixed
The pet "ran away" on the app after the first scan of the toy and no matter how many times I scan the toy again the dino hasnt come back. Very disappointing.
AR scanning will not work. ive lined it up perfectly atleast 30 times, pressed the focus button, nothing.
Doesn't Work. It will not scan the toy no matter what I do. You really can't play in the app without scanning the toy because your pet will run away; which happened and made my kid cry.
Wouldn' let me refuse to purchase accessories or to exit the app when I didn't want to purchase. Seems like a con. Plus, unnecessary invasive permissions requested. Skip using the app.
App works great. Seeing it's a toy app, it sucks that it is not an offline app. You don't do anything special for it to be online all the time.
It says the camera part is fixed but its not. Bought this for my son for christmas and he cant even use the app because he cant scan the toy. It doesnt scan and half the time kicks you out
This app is stupid. The AR doesn't work at all. The camera will not focus on the device. Graphics are just...weird
Its a good thing the app isnr necessary because it doeant work anymore. It did at one time when i got my first unicorn but now getting a Trex and doesnt work.
This does not work for my one daughter's phone, but does with my other daughters phone. They are the same phones 😂🤔🙄.
Everything was fine till I went to give my pet a bath then it did not want to work I have to go out of the game to be able to get out of the bath part it is very annoying please fix this
The app wont even scan my toy. Am i doing something wrong it just keeps running the green bar up and down and nothing is happening.
Every time I go in to scan mode it then closes the app I even tryed to uninstall and install the app again but still it closes me out not happy but I like having it
Rated it a two star, but changed it. First, it doesn't let you scan your toy. It just says "done" and "focus". So, I thought, "Well, I'll just play without scanning it." Pretty much impossible. The only things you can do without scanning is feeding and throwing a ball for your pet. I downloaded this app because my toy wouldn't work. Most of the symbols would blink, so I would try to, for example, feed it. The dog would then just shake its head. So I tried to give it a bath. Same result.
